However, whether that makes RIVN stock a great opportunity today is another question.Yes, the company has made far more progress than undercapitalized upstarts like Mullen Automotive(NASDAQ: MULN). Preorder numbers for Rivian have also been more promising compared to Lucid Group(NASDAQ: LCID), another high-profile EV maker that’s been touted as a possible Tesla(NASDAQ: TSLA) in the making.Yet despite being perhaps in a stronger position than its peers, this doesn’t mean that RIVN shares are on their way toward substantially higher prices. Whether on a short, medium, or long time horizon, shares could produce disappointing returns from here. Why? Chalk it up to a valuation that already reflects potential growth and rising competition that may hinder Rivian’s ability to realize this potential.RIVN Stock Is Priced for PerfectionGiven that Rivian stock trades for around a quarter of its 2021 IPO price ($78 per share), at first it may sound odd to say that shares are at present “priced for perfection.”However, just because RIVN stock has experienced a significant price decline since its debut doesn’t mean that it became a bargain in the process. RIVN simply went from being extremely overvalued, to trading at a valuation that prices in future forecasts as near-certainties. Granted, this doesn’t necessarily mean the stock today has zero additional runway.Sure, it is possible for Rivian, after last year’s setbacks, to beat expectations this year. That said, is it likely to happen? In my view, no. This is mostly due to increasing competitive challenges.Investors bullish on Rivian will argue that this EV maker’s focus on the truck and van market leaves it less vulnerable to competitive risks than the EV upstarts attempting to compete directly with Tesla. However, Ford(NYSE: F), which has sold nearly all of its past RIVN investments, may pose a serious competitive threat, with its best-selling F-150 Lightning truck.Even Falling Slightly Short of Expectations Could Drive Big DeclinesDon’t get me wrong. It’s not as if the F-150 Lightning alone will fully destroy Rivian’s ability to continue growing. That said, this emerging competition will threaten Rivian’s potential to exceed expectations. It may also result in the company reporting results that fall slightly short of expectations. The stock’s current valuation leaves little room for error. “Slight misses” could still have a serious impact on the performance of RIVN stock. If factors such as competition affect growth over the next few years, net losses could end up being far greater than current forecasts. Having to delay its profitability timeline once again will of course put more pressure on the stock, but that’s not the only risk.Although management has previously stated the company has enough cash to fund operations until 2025, if it fails to become profitable by that time, it will likely need to raise more cash by selling new shares, which will be dilutive to existing investors. My Verdict on RIVNThere’s a lot more that could sink Rivian lower, rather than send it back to substantially higher price levels. The risk/reward proposition does not appear favorable. In fact, from a risk/reward standpoint, Ford may be a stronger EV wager. The “old school” automaker has a strong chance of successfully transitioning into being primarily a maker of electric vehicles. As this may result in increased operating margins, the market could in turn rerate Ford’s shares (currently trading for around 8.5 times forward earnings) to a higher valuation.Multiple expansions, coupled with increased earnings, could put F stock in the fast lane in the coming years. In contrast, despite moving higher recently, RIVN stock could sputter going forward. With this in mind, it’s definitely not a buy right now.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"RIVN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3273,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9955061866,"gmtCreate":1675080551855,"gmtModify":1676538974721,"author":{"id":"3575095071240565","authorId":"3575095071240565","name":"CarlRN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b3223aa722e2ac0f27c25d0309558dad","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575095071240565","idStr":"3575095071240565"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9955061866","repostId":"2307209454","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2756,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9952946679,"gmtCreate":1674398172092,"gmtModify":1676538939308,"author":{"id":"3575095071240565","authorId":"3575095071240565","name":"CarlRN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b3223aa722e2ac0f27c25d0309558dad","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575095071240565","idStr":"3575095071240565"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Latest","listText":"Latest","text":"Latest","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9952946679","repostId":"1136208642","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1136208642","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1674359813,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1136208642?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2023-01-22 11:56","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Biggest EV Stories Of The Week: Tesla's Price Cuts Stimulate Orders, Ford Wants To Go Solo In Europe And More","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1136208642","media":"Benzinga","summary":"KEY POINTSMarket leader Tesla will kickstart the EV earnings season with its quarterly report due on","content":"

KEY POINTS

Market leader Tesla will kickstart the EV earnings season with its quarterly report due on Wednesday.

The quarter was marred by demand slowdown and supply constraints, which have served to temper expectations.

The electric vehicle space saw mixed sentiment in the week ended Jan. 20, with technical moves lifting some EV stocks, while the broader market volatility weighed on most others.

Now, here are the key events that happened in the EV space during the week:

Analysts Back Tesla: Notwithstanding the shaky near-term fundamentals, most analysts opine that the EV pioneer will emerge out of the current lackadaisical phase without any serious damage. It shouldn't surprise anyone if it's not on top 13 years from now.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is a beast, and nobody is going to topple it from the king of the market cap hill anytime soon. Apple's $2.8 billion valuation is dominant right now, but the class act of Cupertino probably won't be on top forever. Go out 13 years and it wouldn't be a surprise to see someone else in that spot. Who can it be?

I think Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA), and Shopify (NYSE:SHOP) have fair shots to inherit the market cap crown from Apple. Let's see why each of these three already well-known companies can be the most valuable publicly traded company come 2035.

IMAGE SOURCE: GETTY IMAGES.

Amazon.com

If you're like me, you lean a lot on Amazon these days. There's e-commerce, local grocery deliveries, namesake consumer electronics, and a growing slate of digital content. With its widely adopted AWS cloud platform, you're probably doing business with Amazon even when you don't realize that you're doing business with Amazon.

Amazon's a beast. Net sales rose 22% to $469.8 billion. Apple clocked in with just $365.8 billion on the top line for its fiscal 2021. Naturally, Amazon currently operates a lower-margin business. Apple deserves the better multiple. However, Amazon has been the more consistent grower. Apple's growth comes in spurts. It comes through with a fiscal year of double-digit growth in net sales, only to march in place the next two years. Really. Look up the pattern over the past decade. Amazon has a more attractive pattern. It has posted double-digit annual growth in net sales for the last two decades.

Apple has done a great job of building a high-margin services component to its business on top of its innovative premium-priced products. Apple should continue to do well over time, but it's also easy to see how Amazon's consistent big steps could make it more valuable by 2035.

Tesla Motors

This pick will be polarizing. Tesla Motors is already the fifth-most-valuable stock by market cap, and there's no shortage of bears stumped by how every larger automaker by sales volume is trading for less. I'm not one of those bears, and not just because the legacy car builders often have debt-saddled balance sheets and problematic pension obligations.

Teslaisdifferent. Everyone is hopping on the electric vehicle trend now, but it will be hard to duplicate the proprietary Supercharger network. It will be hard to catch up to the tech at Tesla, where recalls are usually just over-the-air software updates. Speaking of updates, does your car get better every couple of months like a Tesla?

Apple turned hardware into a gusher of high-margin services, and Tesla has done the same. It shouldn't surprise anyone if it's not on top 13 years from now.Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is a beast, and nobody is going to topple it from the king of the market cap hill anytime soon. Apple's $2.8 billion valuation is dominant right now, but the class act of Cupertino probably won't be on top forever. Go out 13 years and it wouldn't be a surprise to see someone else in that spot. Who can it be?I think Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA), and Shopify (NYSE:SHOP) have fair shots to inherit the market cap crown from Apple. Let's see why each of these three already well-known companies can be the most valuable publicly traded company come 2035.IMAGE SOURCE: GETTY IMAGES.Amazon.comIf you're like me, you lean a lot on Amazon these days. There's e-commerce, local grocery deliveries, namesake consumer electronics, and a growing slate of digital content. With its widely adopted AWS cloud platform, you're probably doing business with Amazon even when you don't realize that you're doing business with Amazon.Amazon's a beast. It has posted double-digit annual growth in net sales for the last two decades.Apple has done a great job of building a high-margin services component to its business on top of its innovative premium-priced products. Apple should continue to do well over time, but it's also easy to see how Amazon's consistent big steps could make it more valuable by 2035.Tesla MotorsThis pick will be polarizing. Tesla Motors is already the fifth-most-valuable stock by market cap, and there's no shortage of bears stumped by how every larger automaker by sales volume is trading for less. I'm not one of those bears, and not just because the legacy car builders often have debt-saddled balance sheets and problematic pension obligations.Teslaisdifferent. Everyone is hopping on the electric vehicle trend now, but it will be hard to duplicate the proprietary Supercharger network. It will be hard to catch up to the tech at Tesla, where recalls are usually just over-the-air software updates. Speaking of updates, does your car get better every couple of months like a Tesla?Apple turned hardware into a gusher of high-margin services, and Tesla has done the same. Tesla owners can pay $12,000 -- or $199 a month -- for full self-driving features that Elon Musk claims will become a reality later this year. Tesla's growth has been stunning, but the big mistake that bears make is assuming that the earnings potential of every Tesla that rolls off the line is the same as that of its slow-moving rivals' cars.ShopifyLet's go shopping for a third candidate to be king of the hill in 2035. The CEO, co-founder, and ace stock picker for the Ark Invest family of exchange-traded funds (Pacer Swan SOS Fund of Funds ETF|ETFs) stood pat on her buying urges. She lightened a few positions last week, but she failed to execute a buy order in any of the final three trading days of last week. The streak ended on Monday. Shopify, Twilio, and Adaptive Biotechnologies are the three stocks that Ark Invest bought. What does Wood see in these three fast-growing companies? Let's take a closer look.ShopifyIt's been a rough few months for Shopify investors. The fast-growing e-commerce specialist has seen its stock plunge more than 60% since peaking in November. Shopify stock came back to life with last week's market rally in growth stocks, but a 12% slide on Monday to kick off this new trading week shows that shareholders are still looking to take profits following sharp upticks.Revenue growth is slowing at Shopify. Its top line surged 86% in 2020, slowing to a 57% pace in 2021. Growth has decelerated sharply the last three quarters. Shopify itself was vague about its guidance, but analysts are holding out for a 31% increase in 2022. Shopify continues to stand out for its ability to arm merchants of all sizes with the tools to establish an online presence that plays nice with most popular e-commerce and social media platforms.TwilioThere is a lot to like about Twilio, the undisputed leader of in-app communication solutions. Twilio's cloud-based tools help many of the most popular apps be more effective by providing two-way communication with users -- for everything from service notifications to verification -- without having to leave an app. It's growing briskly. Revenue rose 61% in 2021, including a 54% year-over-year uptick for its latest quarter. Acquisitions have helped pad Twilio's growth over the years. Organic revenue rose a more modest 44% clip last year if you back out the bump in political election season revenue from late 2020, but the appeal of the platform remains strong. Retention rates are still healthy, and Twilio continues to successfully expand its offerings.Adaptive BiotechnologiesIt's been a rough year for Adaptive Biotechnologies. Its CFO resigned in January, and earlier this month the biotech upstart announced that it would be laying off 12% of its staff. The reorganization is part of Adaptive narrowing the focus of its immune system genetic sequencing technology to key in on minimal residual disease and immune medicine. The stock has been cut by more than half so far in 2022, and it's down 82% since peaking 14 months ago. The technology is promising, and Adaptive Biotechnologies is one of the stocks that Wood was buying earlier last week before she took a three-day break from purchases. Analysts don't see the company turning a profit for several more years, but that's not necessarily a deal breaker for biotech stocks as long as they have the liquidity in place to hold out for a medical breakthrough.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TWLO":0.9,"ADPT":0.9,"SHOP":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":965,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9031429801,"gmtCreate":1646648703206,"gmtModify":1676534146660,"author":{"id":"3575095071240565","authorId":"3575095071240565","name":"CarlRN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b3223aa722e2ac0f27c25d0309558dad","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575095071240565","idStr":"3575095071240565"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Camber Energy(CEI)$wow after quite sometimes!...:)","listText":"$Camber Energy(CEI)$wow after quite sometimes!...:)","text":"$Camber Energy(CEI)$wow after quite sometimes!...:)","images":[{"img":"https://static.itradeup.com/news/b657561ad6b47c4176df85e2148a0aa2","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9031429801","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":677,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092545038,"gmtCreate":1644683244425,"gmtModify":1676533952898,"author":{"id":"3575095071240565","authorId":"3575095071240565","name":"CarlRN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b3223aa722e2ac0f27c25d0309558dad","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575095071240565","idStr":"3575095071240565"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092545038","repostId":"2210409526","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":693,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9017383189,"gmtCreate":1649745058274,"gmtModify":1676534563118,"author":{"id":"3575095071240565","authorId":"3575095071240565","name":"CarlRN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b3223aa722e2ac0f27c25d0309558dad","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575095071240565","idStr":"3575095071240565"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Latest.. be careful ","listText":"Latest.. be careful ","text":"Latest.. be careful","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9017383189","repostId":"2226222638","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":830,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9010949042,"gmtCreate":1648251101241,"gmtModify":1676534320934,"author":{"id":"3575095071240565","authorId":"3575095071240565","name":"CarlRN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b3223aa722e2ac0f27c25d0309558dad","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575095071240565","idStr":"3575095071240565"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Latest","listText":"Latest","text":"Latest","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9010949042","repostId":"2221907148","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2221907148","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1648222340,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2221907148?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-03-25 23:32","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Sell-Off Stocks That Could Help Set You Up for Life","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2221907148","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Short-term headwinds have crushed these stocks, but my investment thesis for each remains strong.","content":"
\n
Short-term drops in the market can feel brutal -- even for those keeping a long-term focus.Owning a tech-heavy portfolio that has dropped over 25%, I am no exception. However, by dollar-cost averaging, holding for the long term, and reframing sell-offs as opportunities, it is possible to remain optimistic when facing a correction.Speaking to this third point, let us look at three heavily sold-off stocks that offer the potential to set you up for life.PinterestDriven by its mission \"to help people discover the things they love, and inspire them to do those things in their daily lives,\" idea-incubator Pinterest ( PINS 1.01% ) puts a twist on social media.In a world facing mental health concerns related to social media usage, Pinterest flips the script by providing hope and inspiration -- even if it's only on an aspirational level.Perhaps thanks to this unique connection to its user base, the company saw its share price reach a high of almost $89 in 2021.However, after reaching that high mark, Pinterest saw its monthly active users (MAUs) drop from 478 million in the first quarter of 2021 to 431 million at the end of the year. This drop, paired with PayPal's abandoned acquisition for around $70 per share, has sent the stock down 70% from its peak.So what makes Pinterest interesting now?First, the fears around this MAU decline seem overstated, considering it grew from 367 million in 2019 to 459 million the following year thanks to a pandemic-aided surge. Its subsequent decline in 2021 was far from surprising in hindsight as most of the world reopened, temporarily setting apps like Pinterest on the back burner.Second, despite this pullback in MAUs, its global average revenue per user (ARPU) of $1.93 continues to shine. Up 23% year over year in the fourth quarter, this metric strengthened with a growing ARPU of $7.43 domestically and an international ARPU that was up 62% to $0.57. As Pinterest continues to roll out its shoppable content and advertising base internationally, look for its massive user base to become increasingly profitable to the company.Finally, according to Comparably, Pinterest has a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +50. NPS is rated on a scale of -100 to +100 and captures whether a company's customers would recommend the product. Generally, a positive score is good, while anything above +30 is excellent, making Pinterest's score stand out.Best yet for investors, businesses with excellent NPS scores tend to outperform the market thanks to happier customers. As a result of this NPS score, its remaining international growth runway, and a meager price to free cash flow ratio of just 23, buying and holding Pinterest at these prices could move your retirement years ahead of schedule.Zoom Video CommunicationsLike Pinterest, Zoom Video Communications ( ZM -0.46% ) boasts an excellent NPS of +53 thanks to its suite of hybrid work-enabling products. Famous for its video conferencing software that has become a verb, Zoom is creating new products, its most recent being the Zoom Contact Center.This new offering will act as a customer engagement solution for Zoom's clients and highlights the somewhat quiet growth optionality hidden behind the company's core video product. Whether it's the Zoom phone, events, meetings, or rooms, and now its contact center, the company's unified communications platform is poised to evolve to meet the needs of its ever-expanding customer base.However, with decelerating growth rates that saw revenue increase only 21% in the fiscal 2022 fourth quarter -- compared to growth of 369% the same time last year -- Zoom has seen its stock punished.Now 70% below its 52-week highs, the market is pricing Zoom like it faces an existential crisis, but that couldn't be further from the truth. After generating $1.5 billion in free cash flow (FCF) over the last year, Zoom now trades at just 25 times FCF.Data by YCharts.Any time a company's price to free cash flow ratio approaches its sales growth rate as is the case here, it catches my attention as reasonably priced growth.Zoom's promising NPS, product optionality, and cheap FCF generation make it a prime sell-off stock to consider holding forever.DocuSignRounding out our trio of high NPS stocks is DocuSign ( DOCU 1.84% ) and its excellent score of +53. Led by its popular e-signature product, the company now has its eyes on expanding its broader Agreement Cloud offering.This Agreement Cloud consists of four key pillars: prepare, sign, act, and manage. As e-signature is by far DocuSign's most prominent product, it intends to use a land-and-expand business model to grow its sales.After getting its foot in the door with nearly 1.2 million customers thanks to its e-signature product, it now aims to build upon these relationships by offering anything and everything related to the agreement space.However, with DocuSign seeing its billings growth drop from 56% in fiscal 2021 to 37% in fiscal 2022, the market has sent the stock's price downward.It has also declined nearly 70% from its 52-week high, but this reaction from the market is starting to look overdone. Despite this slowdown in billings growth, DocuSign still posted 45% revenue growth last year and a good net dollar retention rate of 119% in the latest quarter.Net dollar retention measures how much DocuSign's existing customers grew their spending with anything above 100% showing expansion. As time passes, this metric will be vital to investors as it will highlight how the Agreement Cloud's growth is faring.Trading at 44 times free cash flow, DocuSign is the most expensive stock of this trio -- and the fastest growing. However, with its growth rate above its price to free cash flow, the stock still looks attractively priced after its sell-off and could be an excellent holding for long-term investors.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ZM":0.9,"PINS":0.9,"DOCU":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1157,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
