So far, we have discussed (1)Wall Street’s expectationsfor revenues and earnings and (2) the expected performance of the iPhone in the quarter.</p>\n<p>Today, we address what could be Apple’s most successful product category in the third fiscal period of 2021: the iPad.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/544b629337019373222b755bf493104b\" tg-width=\"1200\" tg-height=\"630\"><span>Figure 1: The latest iPad Pro model.</span></p>\n<p>The 2020 pandemic has made winners of tech companies that managed to capitalize on shifting consumer behavior – also known as the “stay at home” trends. This partially explains why iPad revenues have shot through the roof in the past several quarters: growth of at least 30% since fiscal Q2 last year.</p>\n<p>For starters,it has become increasingly obviousthat consumers are not returning to old spending habits, even as the COVID-19 crisis gets closer to an end. Therefore, I see no reason to doubt that iPad sales will impress once again this time, although the growth rate will be partially eclipsed by tough 2020 comps.</p>\n<p>But the story does not end with the effects of the pandemic. The chart below shows that, since around 2017, Apple has been able to reignite demand for its tablets. Even in 2019, before the pandemic turned the world upside down, iPad sales had already been growing at a respectable 13% pace.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b463e314374d0f90f3cedbd13430a0ae\" tg-width=\"631\" tg-height=\"377\"><span>Figure 2: iPad revenue in millions U.S dollars.</span></p>\n<p>The rebirth of the tablet business, I will be frank,caught me by surprise. The phenomenon can be probably attributed to technological advancements allowing products like the iPad to better replace personal computers (more storage, better graphics, fast processor speed) and even smartphones (wider range of screen sizes, better cameras, introduction of 5G capability).</p>\n<p>Case in point, Research and Marketsbelievesthat tablet revenues across the industry will continue to grow at a CAGR of over 10% through 2023. This is quite an improvement from the days that iPad sales were declining sharply, between 2014 and 2018.</p>\n<p>Lastly, Apple may have performed even better than its tablet competitors in the most recent quarter. First, the company has provenmore capable of managing its supply chain, which could be a plus during times of component shortages.</p>\n<p>But also, Applereleased its new M1-equipped iPad Pro in April. Consumers have been more willing to pay up for better mobile devices lately, which might bode well for Apple’s top-of-the-line tablet. In fact, the iPad’s two percentage pointgainin market share in June could be explained by this product launch.</p>\n<p>With the most recent tablet release, the entire iPad lineup (except for the less relevant mini version) is only about nine months old today. This partially explains why iPad revenues have shot through the roof in the past several quarters: growth of at least 30% since fiscal Q2 last year.\nFor starters,it has become increasingly obviousthat consumers are not returning to old spending habits, even as the COVID-19 crisis gets closer to an end. Therefore, I see no reason to doubt that iPad sales will impress once again this time, although the growth rate will be partially eclipsed by tough 2020 comps.\nBut the story does not end with the effects of the pandemic. The chart below shows that, since around 2017, Apple has been able to reignite demand for its tablets. The Apple Maven discusses what traders, speculators and investors should expect when betting on AAPL.</p>\n<p>The&nbsp;Street’s&nbsp;Jim Cramer has said it repeatedly: own Apple stock (ticker $AAPL), don’t trade it. Today, the Apple Maven revisits this idea to help determine how long one should hold Apple shares.</p>\n<p>Below is an analysis of how much one might expect to gain if (1) day-trading, (2) speculating on, or (3) investing in Apple stock. Obviously, since the future is uncertain, the analysis is based on historical data – which I believe can at least provide a blueprint for future share price performance.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/6726ed885cefb1c7f81fe0ac2f6eff7c\" tg-width=\"799\" tg-height=\"466\"><span>Figure 1: AAPL trading chart.</span></p>\n<p><b>#1. AAPL investors: long-term winners</b></p>\n<p>As I mentioned&nbsp;in my recent “Apple Stock 101” article, investors that bought Apple shares in December 1980 (i.e. the IPO date) and held onto them until now realized impressive annualized gains of&nbsp;<b>19%</b>. Clearly, AAPL has been a good asset to “get and forget” over Apple’s tenure as a publicly-traded company.</p>\n<p>But allow me to work with more realistic time frames. For this exercise, I will consider “investors” those who hold AAPL for one year. To be clear, many might consider twelve months a minimum investment horizon to qualify as long term.</p>\n<p>Also, I am limiting my analysis to the past 20 years, since the stock used to be much riskier and more volatile in its first couple of decades of existence than it is now. Apple stock’s returns have been even better during this period that begins with the end of the dot-com correction:<b>35%</b>&nbsp;annualized.</p>\n<p>The chart below shows the distribution of&nbsp;<i>weekly returns</i>&nbsp;earned by an Apple stock investor, using the parameters described above, if the bet had been made on any give day since May 2001.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d658a73af3c004123aa9e0d29906ebe7\" tg-width=\"703\" tg-height=\"418\"><span>Figure 2: AAPL investor's weekly return distribution.</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><b>Key observation</b>: if held for one year, and based on historical observations alone (i.e. not on modeled projections for the future), Apple stock can arguably be expected to produce weekly returns of about +0.5% to +1.0%. Rarely has the stock been a big-time winner or loser – say, weekly returns of more than +2% or less than -1% on average – when the investment horizon is one year.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>#2. AAPL speculators: higher octane</b></p>\n<p>Speculators have had a bit different experience from the above. Here, I characterize as “speculator” someone who buys AAPL and sells it ten weeks later, or roughly two and a half months after the purchase date.</p>\n<p>See histogram below. For ease of comparison with the weekly return analysis immediately above, I kept the chart’s scale unchanged.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/209f65d605439ca2f039619f15f5fc68\" tg-width=\"690\" tg-height=\"404\"><span>Figure 3: AAPL speculator's weekly return distribution.</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><b>Key observation</b>: the distribution above is still somewhat bell-shaped, meaning that a weekly return of between +0.5% and +1.0% is still quite common. However, notice the much “fatter tails”. The probability of larger weekly gains or losses tends to increase when Apple stock is held for ten weeks rather than one year.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>#3. AAPL day-traders: buckle up!</b></p>\n<p>Lastly, day-traders that buy Apple stock and sell it within less than a full week have been playing a completely different game. Once again, the histogram below depicts the average<i>weekly return</i>in AAPL when the timeframe is compressed to no more than 7 days. The chart scale, again, remains unchanged for ease of comparison.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f77febcce32d4bcc45cf275cc5936671\" tg-width=\"657\" tg-height=\"395\"><span>Figure 4: AAPL day traders's weekly return distribution.</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><b>Key observation</b>: when buying and selling AAPL in a matter of days, it is most common for the bets to result in much more sizable weekly gains or losses: less than -2.0% or more than +2.0%. Earning long-term average gains of about +0.5% to +1.0%, in these cases, has been a rarity.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>What to make of it all</b></p>\n<p>Back to the original question: how long should Apple stock be held? Based on historical analysis, the answer really depends on personal goals. Here is the roadmap:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>If merely seeking long-term capital appreciation that might be market-beating, but probably not by a very wide margin, buying AAPL and holding it for a year or more is highly advisable. Speculative bets of a few weeks here and there (say, selling into strength and buying into weakness based on price action) could help to boost returns, if the trades are well executed.</li>\n <li>If seeking outsized gains, trading AAPL within days would be the best approach. However, this strategy is also the riskiest, as it could lead to outsized losses instead. Today, the Apple Maven revisits this idea to help determine how long one should hold Apple shares.\nBelow is an analysis of how much one might expect to gain if (1) day-trading, (2) speculating on, or (3) investing in Apple stock. Obviously, since the future is uncertain, the analysis is based on historical data – which I believe can at least provide a blueprint for future share price performance.\nFigure 1: AAPL trading chart.\n#1. AAPL investors: long-term winners\nAs I mentioned in my recent “Apple Stock 101” article, investors that bought Apple shares in December 1980 (i.e. the IPO date) and held onto them until now realized impressive annualized gains of 19%. Clearly, AAPL has been a good asset to “get and forget” over Apple’s tenure as a publicly-traded company.\nBut allow me to work with more realistic time frames. For this exercise, I will consider “investors” those who hold AAPL for one year. To be clear, many might consider twelve months a minimum investment horizon to qualify as long term.\nAlso, I am limiting my analysis to the past 20 years, since the stock used to be much riskier and more volatile in its first couple of decades of existence than it is now. Apple stock’s returns have been even better during this period that begins with the end of the dot-com correction:35% annualized.\nThe chart below shows the distribution of weekly returns earned by an Apple stock investor, using the parameters described above, if the bet had been made on any give day since May 2001.\nFigure 2: AAPL investor's weekly return distribution.\n\nKey observation: if held for one year, and based on historical observations alone (i.e. not on modeled projections for the future), Apple stock can arguably be expected to produce weekly returns of about +0.5% to +1.0%. Rarely has the stock been a big-time winner or loser – say, weekly returns of more than +2% or less than -1% on average – when the investment horizon is one year.\n\n#2. AAPL speculators: higher octane\nSpeculators have had a bit different experience from the above. Here, I characterize as “speculator” someone who buys AAPL and sells it ten weeks later, or roughly two and a half months after the purchase date.\nSee histogram below. For ease of comparison with the weekly return analysis immediately above, I kept the chart’s scale unchanged.\nFigure 3: AAPL speculator's weekly return distribution.\n\nKey observation: the distribution above is still somewhat bell-shaped, meaning that a weekly return of between +0.5% and +1.0% is still quite common. However, notice the much “fatter tails”. The probability of larger weekly gains or losses tends to increase when Apple stock is held for ten weeks rather than one year.\n\n#3. AAPL day-traders: buckle up!\nLastly, day-traders that buy Apple stock and sell it within less than a full week have been playing a completely different game. Once again, the histogram below depicts the averageweekly returnin AAPL when the timeframe is compressed to no more than 7 days. The chart scale, again, remains unchanged for ease of comparison.\nFigure 4: AAPL day traders's weekly return distribution.\n\nKey observation: when buying and selling AAPL in a matter of days, it is most common for the bets to result in much more sizable weekly gains or losses: less than -2.0% or more than +2.0%. Earning long-term average gains of about +0.5% to +1.0%, in these cases, has been a rarity.\n\nWhat to make of it all\nBack to the original question: how long should Apple stock be held? Based on historical analysis, the answer really depends on personal goals. Here is the roadmap:\n\nIf merely seeking long-term capital appreciation that might be market-beating, but probably not by a very wide margin, buying AAPL and holding it for a year or more is highly advisable. Speculative bets of a few weeks here and there (say, selling into strength and buying into weakness based on price action) could help to boost returns, if the trades are well executed.\nIf seeking outsized gains, trading AAPL within days would be the best approach. However, this strategy is also the riskiest, as it could lead to outsized losses instead. According to its website, Oatly’s goal is “to make it easy for people to turn what they eat and drink into personal moments of healthy joy without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process.”</p><p>Oatly confidentially filed for its IPO back in February, then officiallyset terms of the move last week. According to multiple outlets, Oatly will offer about 84.4 million American depositary shares (ADS) at between $15 and $17 per share. In total, the Oatly IPO could reach a $10.1 billion valuation, and the firm hopes to raise $1.1 billion.</p><p>Additionally, Oatly plans to trade on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker “OTLY” and had nine lead underwriters for its IPO.</p><p><b>The majority shareholder</b></p><p>Oatly was founded in 1994 by Rickard Oste, a professor of food chemistry and nutrition in Sweden, and his brother Bjorn Oste. Working in Malmo, Sweden, they developed a way of processing a slurry of oats and water with enzymes to produce natural sweetness and a milk-like taste and consistency.</p><p>Oatly’s image benefited from a roster of celebrity investors, including Oprah Winfrey, Natalie Portman, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation company, and Howard Schultz, the former chief executive of Starbucks. All have some connection to the plant-based or healthy living movement.</p><p>The majority shareholder is a partnership between an entity owned by the Chinese government and Verlinvest, a Belgian firm that invests some of the wealth of the families that control the Anheuser-Busch InBev beer empire. Blackstone, the giant private equity firm, owns a little less than 8 percent in Oatly.</p><p>The company’s growth went into overdrive after Verlinvest bought a majority stake in 2016 via a joint venture with China Resources, a state-owned conglomerate with vast holdings in cement, power generation, coal mining, beer, retailing and many other industries. The new financing helped Oatly to expand in Europe and begin exporting to the United States and China, where many people cannot tolerate cow’s milk. China Resources’ involvement undoubtedly helped open doors in the Chinese market. Asia, primarily China, accounted for 18 percent of sales in the first quarter of 2021, and is growing at a rate of 450 percent a year, according to Oatly.</p><p>In Europe, there is growing alarm about Chinese investment in strategic industries like autos, batteries and robotics. The European Commission has begun erecting regulatory barriers to companies with financial links to the Chinese government. But so far no one has expressed fear that China will dominate the world’s supply of oat milk.</p><p>Just in case, Oatly’s prospectus gives it the option of listing in Hong Kong if the foreign ownership becomes a problem in the United States.</p><p><b>The Key Markets</b></p><p>Oat milk is part of a larger trend toward food that mimics animal products. So-called food tech companies like Beyond Meat have raised a little more than $18 billion in venture funding, according to PitchBook, which tracks the industry. Plant-based dairy, which in the United States includes brands like Ripple (made from peas) and Mooala (bananas), raised $640 million last year, more than double the amount raised a year earlier.</p><p>According to the Plant Based Foods Association and Good Foods Institute, plant-based-food sales reached $7 billion in 2020.</p><p>Consumer Insights data quoted in the prospectus says the plant-based milk category will grow 20% to 25% over the next three years.</p><p>Oatly is focused on its role in helping to transform the food industry in order to be better for the environment and meet the health needs of its customers. The company points out that substituting a cup of Oatly for a cup of cow’s milk reduces greenhouse gas emissions, land use and energy consumption.</p><p>Tastewise, which provides food and beverage data and intelligence, said in a December 2020 report that “plant-based everything” will be one of the top 10 U.S. trends for this year.</p><p>Oatly’s key markets are Sweden, Germany and the U.K., though its products were available in 60,000 retail stores and 32,200 coffee shops around the world as of December 31, 2020. Among the places where customers can find Oatly is Starbucks, where demand was so high there was a shortage soon after the coffee chain introduced beverages made with the item.</p><p>Oatly arrived in the U.S. in 2017. The company says it “focused on targeting coffee’s tastemakers, professional baristas at independent coffee shops” as a way to enter the market.”</p><p>By December 31, 2020, Oatly was in more than 7,500 retail shops and 10,000 coffee shops in the U.S. Revenue in 2020 totaled $100 million in the U.S.</p><p>Oatly can also be found in 11,000 coffee and tea shops in China, and at more than 6,000 retail and specialty shops across the country, including thousands of Starbucks locations.</p><p><b>Loss of Warning</b></p><p>In 2020, Oatly had revenue of $421.4 million, up from $204.0 million the year before. However, the company reported a loss of $60.4 million “reflecting our continued investment in production, brand awareness, new markets and product development,” the prospectus said.</p><p>Oatly is classified as an “emerging growth company,” which means it does not have to make the same disclosures required of bigger public companies. A business remains an emerging growth company until it reaches a number of milestones, including annual revenue of more than $1.07 billion.</p><p>Oatly warns that it has reported losses over the last “several” years and expects operating and capital expenses to rise “substantially.”</p><p>“Our expansion efforts may take longer or prove more expensive than we anticipate, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we may not succeed in increasing our revenue and margins sufficiently to offset the anticipated higher expenses,” the company said in its prospectus.</p><p>“We incur significant expenses in researching and developing our innovative products, building out our production and manufacturing facilities, obtaining and storing ingredients and other products and marketing the products we offer.”</p><p><b>The dairy market is highly competitive</b></p><p>Oatly acknowledged in its offering documents that it faces fierce competition, including from “multinational corporations with substantially greater resources and operations than us.”</p><p>That would include British consumer goods maker Unilever, which said last year that it aims to generate revenue of one billion euros, or $1.2 billion, by 2027 from plant-based substitutes for meat and dairy, for example Hellmann’s vegan mayonnaise or Ben &amp; Jerry’s dairy-free ice cream. Unilever has not announced plans for a milk substitute.</p><p>Some industry analysts argue that Oatly’s size gives it an edge over these giants, allowing it to be more innovative than a corporate behemoth. Food start-ups are “younger and faster,” said Patrick Müller-Sarmiento, head of the consumer goods and retail practice at Roland Berger, a German consulting firm.</p><p>The established food giants also have a tougher time than newcomers convincing consumers that they are sincere about saving the planet, an important part of the oat milk sales pitch.</p><p>Mr. Müller-Sarmiento, the former chief executive of Real, a German chain of big box stores, said meat and dairy alternatives are not having trouble competing with Big Food for precious retail shelf space. “Retailers are urgently looking for new products,” he said.</p><p>Time was when Nestlé or Unilever would have simply acquired Oatly, just as they have gobbled up hundreds of other brands. But they would have trouble justifying the audacious $10 billion price that Oatly has set as the benchmark for its stock offering.</p><p>Nestlé’s answer was to develop its own milk substitute, Wunda, which the company unveiled this month and plans to sell initially in France, Portugal and the Netherlands. Made from a variety of yellow peas, Wunda is higher in protein than oat milk. Some nutritionists have said that oat milk and other dairy alternatives are a poor substitute for cow’s milk because they don’t have nearly as much protein.</p><p>Stefan Palzer, the chief technology officer at Nestlé, took issue with those who say a big company can’t move as fast as a bunch of Swedish foodies. A young team at Nestlé developed Wunda in nine months, including three months of market testing in Britain, Mr. Palzer said in an interview.</p><p>Nestlé was able to adapt existing production facilities to make Wunda, rather than building new factories like Oatly must do. The company already had plant scientists who could identify the best kind of pea and food safety experts who could navigate the regulatory approval process, Mr. Palzer said.</p><p>The Wunda developers “could have any expert they wanted to have on the project,” Mr. Palzer said. “That enabled them to move at this speed.”</p><p>Nestlé already has dairy-free versions of Nesquik drinks and Häagen-Dazs ice cream and sells coffee creamers made from a blend of oat and almond milk using the Starbucks brand. The company is in a major push to develop substitutes for almost any kind of animal product. The next frontier: fish. The items range from basic oat milk, to even ice cream and yogurt made from oat milk. According to its website, Oatly’s goal is “to make it easy for people to turn what they eat and drink into personal moments of healthy joy without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process.”</p><p>Oatly confidentially filed for its IPO back in February, then officiallyset terms of the move last week. According to multiple outlets, Oatly will offer about 84.4 million American depositary shares (ADS) at between $15 and $17 per share. In total, the Oatly IPO could reach a $10.1 billion valuation, and the firm hopes to raise $1.1 billion.</p><p>Additionally, Oatly plans to trade on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker “OTLY” and had nine lead underwriters for its IPO.</p><p><b>The majority shareholder</b></p><p>Oatly was founded in 1994 by Rickard Oste, a professor of food chemistry and nutrition in Sweden, and his brother Bjorn Oste. Working in Malmo, Sweden, they developed a way of processing a slurry of oats and water with enzymes to produce natural sweetness and a milk-like taste and consistency.</p><p>Oatly’s image benefited from a roster of celebrity investors, including Oprah Winfrey, Natalie Portman, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation company, and Howard Schultz, the former chief executive of Starbucks. All have some connection to the plant-based or healthy living movement.</p><p>The majority shareholder is a partnership between an entity owned by the Chinese government and Verlinvest, a Belgian firm that invests some of the wealth of the families that control the Anheuser-Busch InBev beer empire. Blackstone, the giant private equity firm, owns a little less than 8 percent in Oatly.</p><p>The company’s growth went into overdrive after Verlinvest bought a majority stake in 2016 via a joint venture with China Resources, a state-owned conglomerate with vast holdings in cement, power generation, coal mining, beer, retailing and many other industries. The new financing helped Oatly to expand in Europe and begin exporting to the United States and China, where many people cannot tolerate cow’s milk. China Resources’ involvement undoubtedly helped open doors in the Chinese market. Asia, primarily China, accounted for 18 percent of sales in the first quarter of 2021, and is growing at a rate of 450 percent a year, according to Oatly.</p><p>In Europe, there is growing alarm about Chinese investment in strategic industries like autos, batteries and robotics. The European Commission has begun erecting regulatory barriers to companies with financial links to the Chinese government. But so far no one has expressed fear that China will dominate the world’s supply of oat milk.</p><p>Just in case, Oatly’s prospectus gives it the option of listing in Hong Kong if the foreign ownership becomes a problem in the United States.</p><p><b>The Key Markets</b></p><p>Oat milk is part of a larger trend toward food that mimics animal products. So-called food tech companies like Beyond Meat have raised a little more than $18 billion in venture funding, according to PitchBook, which tracks the industry. Plant-based dairy, which in the United States includes brands like Ripple (made from peas) and Mooala (bananas), raised $640 million last year, more than double the amount raised a year earlier.</p><p>According to the Plant Based Foods Association and Good Foods Institute, plant-based-food sales reached $7 billion in 2020.</p><p>Consumer Insights data quoted in the prospectus says the plant-based milk category will grow 20% to 25% over the next three years.</p><p>Oatly is focused on its role in helping to transform the food industry in order to be better for the environment and meet the health needs of its customers. The company points out that substituting a cup of Oatly for a cup of cow’s milk reduces greenhouse gas emissions, land use and energy consumption.</p><p>Tastewise, which provides food and beverage data and intelligence, said in a December 2020 report that “plant-based everything” will be one of the top 10 U.S. trends for this year.</p><p>Oatly’s key markets are Sweden, Germany and the U.K., though its products were available in 60,000 retail stores and 32,200 coffee shops around the world as of December 31, 2020. Among the places where customers can find Oatly is Starbucks, where demand was so high there was a shortage soon after the coffee chain introduced beverages made with the item.</p><p>Oatly arrived in the U.S. in 2017. The company says it “focused on targeting coffee’s tastemakers, professional baristas at independent coffee shops” as a way to enter the market.”</p><p>By December 31, 2020, Oatly was in more than 7,500 retail shops and 10,000 coffee shops in the U.S. Revenue in 2020 totaled $100 million in the U.S.</p><p>Oatly can also be found in 11,000 coffee and tea shops in China, and at more than 6,000 retail and specialty shops across the country, including thousands of Starbucks locations.</p><p><b>Loss of Warning</b></p><p>In 2020, Oatly had revenue of $421.4 million, up from $204.0 million the year before. However, the company reported a loss of $60.4 million “reflecting our continued investment in production, brand awareness, new markets and product development,” the prospectus said.</p><p>Oatly is classified as an “emerging growth company,” which means it does not have to make the same disclosures required of bigger public companies. A business remains an emerging growth company until it reaches a number of milestones, including annual revenue of more than $1.07 billion.</p><p>Oatly warns that it has reported losses over the last “several” years and expects operating and capital expenses to rise “substantially.”</p><p>“Our expansion efforts may take longer or prove more expensive than we anticipate, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we may not succeed in increasing our revenue and margins sufficiently to offset the anticipated higher expenses,” the company said in its prospectus.</p><p>“We incur significant expenses in researching and developing our innovative products, building out our production and manufacturing facilities, obtaining and storing ingredients and other products and marketing the products we offer.”</p><p><b>The dairy market is highly competitive</b></p><p>Oatly acknowledged in its offering documents that it faces fierce competition, including from “multinational corporations with substantially greater resources and operations than us.”</p><p>That would include British consumer goods maker Unilever, which said last year that it aims to generate revenue of one billion euros, or $1.2 billion, by 2027 from plant-based substitutes for meat and dairy, for example Hellmann’s vegan mayonnaise or Ben &amp; Jerry’s dairy-free ice cream. While rates certainly could rise again, <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE\">one</a> thing seems certain: the Federal Reserve will not raise rates until it is positive the economy is back at full strength. The only move the Fed looks poised to make in the near term is the beginning of the tapering of the $120 billion per month purchase of Treasury and mortgage debt.</p>\n<p>We screened the BofA Securities research universe looking for blue chip stocks rated Buy that paid at least a 4% dividend. We found five that are very appealing now to growth and income investors. Altria Group Inc. (NYSE: MO) is the parent company of <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/PM\">Philip Morris</a> USA (cigarettes), UST (smokeless), John Middleton (cigars), Ste. Michelle Wine Estates and Philip Morris Capital. PMUSA enjoys a 51% share of the U.S. cigarette market, led by its top cigarette brand Marlboro.</p>\n<p>Altria also owns over 10% of Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer. In March 2008, it spun off its international cigarette business to shareholders. The company sports a sizable dividend and has a solid place in the sector when it comes to natural gas and liquefied natural gas.</p>\n<p>With the strongest financial base of the majors, coupled with an attractive relative asset base, many on Wall Street feel that Chevron offers the most straightforwardly positive risk/reward. The company has pursued a strategy of low-cost, high return on invested capital debottlenecks coupled with cash returns to shareholders.</p>\n<p>Note that debottlenecking is the process of identifying specific areas or equipment in oil and gas facilities that limit the flow of product (known as bottlenecks) and optimizing them so that overall capacity in the plant can be increased.</p>\n<p>The company offers a 4.50% dividend.
