$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$at the current price of below USD220, I think it is a good buy and to keep for short to long term. Tesla has started back its Shanghai factory which will be good for its Chinese customers in China. Moreover, Elon Musk is a real businessman who is constantly working on new innovation to evolve Tesla that is trying to help in human development.

I think the EU agreement to shares gas among their EU communities is the short term solution to their problem. This might temporary drive the price down but I foresee that as long as the Russia Ukraine war continues, the price might spikes even higher when the whole EU communities depleted their gases.

AmazonBerkshire Hathaway (BRK.A 0.75%) (BRK.B 1.27%) opened a position in Amazon (AMZN 1.88%) in 2019. Granted, it was other investment managers doing the buying rather than Buffett himself. However, Buffett clearly likes Amazon, referring to himself as an \"idiot\" for not buying the stock sooner.Wood seems to be a budding admirer of Amazon as well. The stock ranks No. 15 among the holdings of her ARK Space Exploration & Innovation ETF (ARKX 1.25%). And Wall Street still loves Amazon. 43 of the 47 analysts surveyed by Refinitiv think the stock is either a buy or a strong buy.However, many other investors appear to have soured on the e-commerce and cloud giant. Amazon's shares have plunged more than 40% year to date, with the company's weak fourth-quarter guidance especially causing concerns.But there were several positives with Amazon's disappointing third-quarter update. The company's long-term prospects remain bright. Don't be surprised if Buffett, Wood, and Wall Street all prove to be right about the beaten-down stock.2. BYDBerkshire owns an 18.9% stake in Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker BYD (BYDDY -0.49%). Wood's ARK Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF (ARKQ 0.57%) owns a sizable position in the stock as well. And the average 12-month price target for BYD among analysts surveyed by Refinitiv reflects an upside potential of around 50%.To be sure, Buffett's and Wood's enthusiasm levels about BYD appear to have waned somewhat. Berkshire and ARKQ have sold shares in recent months.They're not alone. After rising more than 20% year to date by early July, BYD's shares have been in a virtual freefall, sinking over 40% from the peak.The company should still have tremendous growth opportunities in the EV market. However, investors definitely have reasons to be leery about Chinese stocks right now.3. General MotorsBYD isn't the only automotive stock that Buffett, Wood, and Wall Street like. General Motors (GM 1.27%) also appears to be in favor with the unlikely trio.Berkshire currently owns around 3.7% of GM. Wood's ARKQ ETF owns more than 250,000 shares of the auto giant and added to its position in September. Only two of the 24 Wall Street analysts surveyed by Refinitiv think the stock will underperform. The consensus 12-month price target for GM is around 23% higher than the current share price.The bad news for GM is that there's a lot of economic uncertainty. Inflation remains high. Interest rates continue to rise. Many expect that a recession is on the way. That's not a great picture for an automaker that depends on consumers' willingness and ability to make high-dollar purchases.But there's a solid argument that now is a good time to buy GM stock. The company plans to aggressively ramp up its production of electric vehicles over the next several years. The current headwinds won't last forever. This time, debate has focused on the short bit of commentary that Tesla provided as it posted 343,830 deliveries for the third quarter, below the 371,000 that analysts tracked by FactSet had been expecting, and also below the 365,923 vehicles that the company said it produced in the period.</p><p>Tesla explained in a press release that delivery volumes have been heavily weighted to the end of quarters “due to regional batch building of cars,” but that as production volumes have increased, it’s become “increasingly challenging to secure vehicle transportation capacity and at a reasonable cost during these peak logistics weeks.” The company has moved to “a more even regional mix of vehicle builds each week, which led to an increase in cars in transit at the end of the quarter.”</p><p>Tesla’s stock fell 8.6% in the first trading session after the deliveries were announced.</p><p>While Tesla seemed to peg its problems to delivery logistics, some analysts weren’t sure that was the only challenge facing the Elon Musk-led company these days.</p><p>“A top concern right now is demand in China as wait times seem to be shrinking,” wrote RBC Capital Markets analyst Joseph Spak. The question is whether the wait-time issue is a “blip” or indicative of “a bigger change among consumers.”</p><p>Spak added that there is “some overall concern about demand (not just China)” headed into Tesla’s report.</p><p>Guggenheim’s Ali Faghri also wrote of potential demand issues in China, even though he thought the U.S. outlook remained strong.</p><p>“Our conclusion is that the sharp moderation in China wait times is at least partially attributable to weaker demand amid increasing competition from lower priced domestic OEMs [original equipment manufacturers],” he said in a note to clients.</p><p>“While wait times in the U.S. and Europe remain healthy, we see potential similarities between Europe and China (macro pressures, increasing competition, ramping supply),” he continued. “Overall, we see risk that TSLA is reaching demand saturation in its most important market globally (China, with tail risk in Europe).”</p><p>Such a dynamic could weigh on the company’s ability to hit its delivery goals and “potentially pressure the stock’s premium valuation as the story shifts from supply-constrained (high multiple) to demand-constrained (lower multiple),” Faghri added.</p><p>Wells Fargo analyst Colin Langan highlighted a number of puts and takes in thinking about broader demand for Tesla vehicles heading into next year.</p><p>“While IRA [the Inflation Recovery Act] will help in 2023, the economy and interest rates likely will not, particularly in Europe where an energy crisis looms,” he wrote. “If consumers are watching costs, a $60K vehicle purchase could get deferred.”</p><p>UBS analyst Patrick Hummel also chimed in that “[t]he debate about EVs has shifted to the demand side, after delivery times have come down significantly,” but he saw opportunity for Tesla in that dynamic.</p><p>“We think Tesla is best positioned to use pricing as the tool to fill its factories,” he wrote, noting that price reductions could help Tesla gain share over electric-vehicle companies and further compete against sellers of gas-powered cars.</p><p>Tesla is due to post its third-quarter results Oct. 19 after the closing bell.</p><h2>What to expect</h2><p><b>Revenue:</b> Analysts expect Tesla to report $22.14 billion in revenue, up from $13.76 billion a year prior.</p><p>According to Estimize, which crowdsources projections from hedge funds, academics, and others, the average estimate calls for $22.63 billion in revenue.</p><p><b>Earnings:</b> The FactSet consensus calls for $1.01 a share in September-quarter adjusted earnings, up from 62 cents a share in the year-prior quarter. With mounting fears over lingering inflation, rising interest rates that don’t seem to find a ceiling, anddeteriorationin global economic activity, <b>Apple</b> stock has reached 22% lower for the year alongside an equally soft <b>S&amp;P 500</b>.</p><p>However, even ahead of a nail-biting CPI report scheduled for this Thursday and the upcoming calendar Q3 earnings season for tech companies, a couple of analysts have been emphatic: there isn’t too much about AAPL that should worry investors now.</p><p>Below are the arguments recently made by Citi’s Jim Suva and Key Banc’s Brandon Nispel, two analysts that see Apple stock rising to $185 per share, for 34% upside opportunity.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/bc165c978aa2aceb68ae254e7c6cd1ee\" tg-width=\"1240\" tg-height=\"828\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>Figure 1: Apple Stock: Fears Are Overdone, Say These Analysts</span></p><h2>Apple: delivering the goods</h2><p>Mr. Suva’s leaned on “the full package” that Apple has been this year to explain why he is not concerned about the Cupertino company ahead of earnings season.</p><p>According to him, Apple has hit the nail on the head with the recent iPhone 14 launch. The analyst was particularly optimistic about consumer preference towards the Pro models, which carry a higher price tag – and likely better margins.</p><p>That said, the Citi researcher did not have a particularly differentiated view on the number of iPhone units that he expects Apple to ship in the second half: 90 million. This is a sales figure that other analysts on Wall Street have also projected, and something that would not be substantially better compared to the iPhone 13 last year.</p><p>Mr. Nispel, on the other hand, looked at Apple’s performance from the top down. He started off by noting that big-ticket purchases by US consumers in September exceeded what the historical month-over-month trend would have suggested.</p><p>Based on the analyst’s report, spending increased by 11% from August. This is good news, considering that seasonality tends to be negative heading into the last month of the quarter, according to the researcher.</p><p>These observations bode well for Apple’s hardware sales in the company’s fiscal Q4. KeyBanc sees the number climbing 11% sequentially, roughly three percentage points above consensus.</p><h2>But what about AAPL stock?</h2><p>None of the above should be bad news for Apple stock and its investors – the contrary, if anything. Considering the uncertainty about economic activity and consumers’ spending power heading into the end of 2022, Apple may continue to execute better than most of its peers.</p><p>I wonder, however, how much the company’s financial performance might matter to Apple shares in the near term. I have recently argued that macroeconomic factors, and not the performance of the iPhone 14 or any other of Apple’s products and services, will likely dictate the direction of AAPL in the foreseeable future.</p><p>Therefore, I continue to expect high levels of volatility in AAPL over the next weeks, maybe even a retesting of the 2022 lows. Inflation and the conversations around monetary policy will be the most important variables to keep an eye on, in my opinion.</p><p>That is not to say, however, that the data points presented by the two Wall Street analysts are meaningless. The analyst was particularly optimistic about consumer preference towards the Pro models, which carry a higher price tag – and likely better margins.That said, the Citi researcher did not have a particularly differentiated view on the number of iPhone units that he expects Apple to ship in the second half: 90 million. This is a sales figure that other analysts on Wall Street have also projected, and something that would not be substantially better compared to the iPhone 13 last year.Mr. Nispel, on the other hand, looked at Apple’s performance from the top down. He started off by noting that big-ticket purchases by US consumers in September exceeded what the historical month-over-month trend would have suggested.Based on the analyst’s report, spending increased by 11% from August. This is good news, considering that seasonality tends to be negative heading into the last month of the quarter, according to the researcher.These observations bode well for Apple’s hardware sales in the company’s fiscal Q4. Here's why.Amazon: Retail, cloud computing, and digital advertisingHigh inflation has hit many retailers hard in the past year, and Amazon is no exception. The rising cost of fuel and labor, compounded by continued investments in fulfillment infrastructure, have weighed heavily on its financial performance. In fact, Amazon has now posted a GAAP loss for two consecutive quarters. But its struggles are the result of temporary macroeconomic headwinds, not a broken investment thesis. The future still looks very bright for Amazon.Global retail e-commerce sales are expected to increase at 10% per year to reach $7.4 trillion by 2025, according to eMarketer, and Amazon is the most popular online marketplace in the world as measured by monthly visitors. That significant scale is the foundation of a powerful network effect. Specifically, sellers naturally gravitate to the most popular marketplace, and that tends to bring more buyers to the platform, creating a virtuous cycle. That should keep Amazon on the leading edge of the e-commerce industry for years to come.Additionally, cloud computing spending is expected to grow faster than 15% per year to surpass $1.5 trillion by 2030, according to Grand View Research, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) led the cloud infrastructure space with 34% market share in the second quarter. Better yet, research company Gartner says AWS has consistently positioned itself as the innovation leader, and that attribute should keep it ahead of the competition for years to come.Finally, global digital ad spend is expected to climb at 10% per year to reach $876 billion by 2026, according to eMarketer, and Amazon has quietly become an advertising powerhouse. In fact, it is the fourth-largest digital advertiser in the world, behind Alphabet, Meta Platforms, and Alibaba. That success stems primarily from the popularity of its online marketplace, though its streaming platform (Amazon Fire TV) has also played a role. In both cases, investors have good reason to believe Amazon will retain its strong market position, meaning the company is well-positioned to gain ground in digital advertising.Shares currently trade at 2.4 times sales, a bargain compared to the three-year average of 3.8 times sales. Investors should jump on this opportunity and buy a few shares of this Warren Buffet stock. That said, 91% upside in the near term may be a bit optimistic, especially in the current macroeconomic environment.Snowflake: Big data analyticsSnowflake helps businesses harness the power of big data. Its platform supports a range of workloads that would otherwise require multiple point solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics. The Snowflake Data Cloud also enables customers to share data across their organizations, and it includes developer tools that simplify the building of data-intensive applications. That broad utility gives Snowflake an edge over other vendors.Additionally, Snowflake offers industry-specific versions of its Data Cloud. For example, its Financial Services Data Cloud includes data sets and solutions tailored to financial service providers, and it has seen adoption by companies like Block and Mastercard. That portion of Snowflake's go-to-market strategy reduces friction for customers and accelerates time to value, and it has helped drive demand.Snowflake increased its customer count 36% to 6,808 over the past year, and the average customer upped their spending by 71% during that time. In turn, revenue soared 92% to $1.6 billion, and the company generated positive free cash flow of $293 million, up from a loss of $43 million in the prior year.Going forward, Snowflake puts its market opportunity at $248 billion by 2026, and given its strong financial track record investors have good reason to be bullish. Shares currently trade at 29.2 times sales -- not a cheap valuation by any means, but still a discount to the average of 86.6 times sales since Snowflake went public in 2020. Here's why these businesses are facing enormous headwinds long-term.Financials are terribleThe business of making EV chargers and selling electricity to drivers is a money loser, and looks like it will be one for years to come. You can see below that Blink Charging (BLNK -0.76%), ChargePoint Holdings (CHPT -2.01%), and EVgo (EVGO -2.33%) are all losing about as much as they're making in revenue right now.BLNK Revenue (TTM) data by YChartsThese companies are investing in growth, but they're doing so at an unsustainable rate. And it's not clear there will be a profitable market for them when they reach maturity.There's no moat in EV chargingAsk yourself why you would choose one charger over another. The plugs are the same, the electricity is the same, there's literally no difference between one charger and the next.This makes the charging business a commodity, whether you're selling physical chargers or electricity to customers directly. We've seen that with General Motors' (GM 0.83%) partnership with seven charging networks to service GM vehicles. GM will create the app for vehicles to find chargers and collect payment, and users will essentially be offered white-label charging from companies like Blink, ChargePoint, and EVgo.If electricity wasn't readily available and chargers didn't use common plugs, there may be more potential for a moat to form. But the industry is moving toward commodification of almost everything about charging.The business model is unclear at bestWhat's the right business model for EV charging companies? Do they just sell chargers and let manufacturers, retailers, and even gas stations put their own logos on chargers? Do they build out networks in the hopes of attracting customers to charge with them?I actually think chargers will become such a commodity that they'll be a feature to draw customers to restaurants, retailers, and malls. Why stop at one fast food spot over another on a road trip? What if one has chargers? The same benefit can be given to shoppers at big-box retailers or malls.No matter the business model that succeeds, it's hard to see how charging companies will be able to justify their current valuations.A market to stay away fromEV charging stocks continue to have high valuations, but their financials are terrible, they don't have a moat, and it's not even clear what a successful business model will be long-term. The S&amp;P 500 dropped 5.8%, its worst weekly decline since March 2020, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq Composite both fell 4.8%.</p><p>It was &#34;the worst stretch of selling in the history of the S&amp;P 500,&#34; according to Sundial Capital Research&#39;s Jason Goepfert, who noted that there were five days since June 8 when more than 90% of the index&#39;s stocks finished lower. The week&#39;s drop, which sent the S&amp;P 500 into a bear market, was caused by rising bond yields, some weak economic data, and, of course, the Federal Reserve, which raised interest rates by three-quarters of a point for the first time since 1994.</p><p>And there&#39;s more where that came from. The Fed, battling inflation unlike any it has seen in the past 40 years, could raise interest rates higher than currently expected -- there&#39;s a 89% chance of another three-quarter-point increase in July, although the chances of that happening in September are much lower -- while signs of an economic slowdown emerged this past week as housing starts fell 14% month over month in May and retail sales dipped 0.3%.</p><p>&#34;The Fed needs to bring inflation down, and the growth rate of the economy will be a victim,&#34; says Dave Donabedian, chief investment officer at CIBC Private Wealth US.</p><p>That&#39;s scary enough, but the biggest near-term concern for the stock market might be earnings. One of the main reasons for the plunge in prices is that Europe, at least for now, has all the natural gas it needs.</p><p>That is because over the summer, Europe went on a global buying spree as Russia, its longtime main supplier, reduced its flow of natural gas.</p><p>Across the continent, governments and businesses have aggressively replenished how much gas they are holding in storage. At the urging of European Union officials and at a high cost, energy companies and governments have filled underground caverns and other facilities to more than 90 percent of capacity, compared with less than 80 percent a year ago.</p><p>Companies that sell natural gas, driven by the high prices, flooded the European market. Special ships with huge amounts of liquefied natural gas, or L.N.G., raced to Europe from the United States, Qatar and other countries (including Russia) that produce large amounts of gas.</p><p>The rush to sell to Europe was so great that vessels are now loitering off the coast waiting for slots at crowded terminals to unload their cargoes. One illustration of the glut: In recent days, at least one L.N.G. carrier heading from Algeria to Europe appears to have diverted to Asia in search of a better price, according to Laura Page, an analyst at Kpler, a research firm.</p><p>Europe’s healthy stocks of gas represent a substantial buffer against further cutoffs of Russian supplies or other shocks.</p><p>“You’ve got storage levels that people could only dream of a few months ago,” said Massimo Di Odoardo, vice president for gas research at Wood Mackenzie, a consulting firm.</p><p><b>Natural gas prices in Europe are moderating</b></p><p>At the same time, the demand for natural gas, which serves as a major source of power to generate the electricity that Europe consumes, has fallen sharply, another factor pulling prices down. A warmer-than-usual start to autumn in many parts of Europe has meant that residents have not needed to use much, if any, heat.</p><p>But analysts warn that the recent drop in gas prices could be fleeting — natural gas that is set to be delivered to Europe this winter is already being sold in futures markets at a considerable markup to the current price. The unusually large swings in prices that have come as Russia constricted gas supplies in recent months are likely to continue.</p><p>Gas prices in Europe remain historically elevated, even after the recent decline, trading at twice the level set at this time a year ago and even higher versus long-term averages.</p><p>As a result, many energy-hungry businesses like aluminum smelters, steel mills and fertilizer plants have at least temporarily shut down.
