Mr. Kazuo Inamori died, and I was deeply saddened.

Mr. Inamori is known as the \"Saint of Business\" in Japan. He founded two enterprises in his life, Kyocera and Japan Second Telecom and Telephone Company, both of which entered the world's top 500 under his leadership.

At the age of 78, Kazuo Inamori was invited by Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama to come out to save JAL. This time, this old man only took 424 days to turn JAL into a profit, creating a profit of 188.4 billion yen in JAL history.

Kazuo Inamori, who has maintained an \"altruistic\" belief throughout his life, said,Success or failure in life, everything, in the final analysis, depends on whether we can improve our mind, make it purer and better.

Today, superstars fall. May Mr. Inamori \"everything in the world starts from the heart and ends with the heart\" thinking, illuminate the world business circles.

This article is extracted from Kazuo Inamori's final work \"Heart: Kazuo Inamori's Life Entrustment\" (translated by Cao Yugang and Cao Xiuyun). Everything that happens in life is attracted and shaped by our own hearts. Because of this, in the face of what is happening in front of you, what thoughts, what kind of mentality to treat, life will undergo great changes.

Mr. Konosuke Matsushita, who founded Matsushita Electric, had to drop out of primary school and become an apprentice when he was a child because his father failed to speculate in the rice market and went bankrupt. Since his childhood, he has suffered a lot. In the face of such a fate, he was undiscouraged, single-minded, and worked hard. Mr. Panasonic's loyal, honest, optimistic and cheerful heart is the foundation for Panasonic's future prosperity.

I am afraid there were many children who were apprentices like Mr. Matsushita. There may be many children who complain about their circumstances, are jealous of others, and hate society. This kind of child cannot achieve the outstanding achievements of Mr. Matsushita.

I have suffered all kinds of misfortunes and setbacks from my teenage years to my entrance into society.

Nothing went smoothly when I was full of complaints and complaints about my situation.

However, from the moment I began to accept my fate and make up my mind to devote myself to my work, life changed from headwind to tailwind.

Later on, I realize that my childhood life seemed tainted with misfortune, but in reality, it was just the prelude to a wonderful life that God gave me.

If my life is smooth sailing, without experiencing setbacks and hardships at all, I will not try hard to temper my heart, I am afraid I will become a person who does not know how to understand and sympathize with others.

Be thankful for good or bad things

No matter how harsh the situation is, you can neither resent nor give in. It is important to respond consistently and positively, and face it with a \"heart of gratitude\".

When we encounter disasters, trouble, and unsatisfactory results, if our personality is not tempered to a considerable extent, we often complain: \"Why did I suffer this misfortune?\"

On the other hand, with good luck and everything going well, I should be able to say thank you at this time, right? But that too often can't be done. Good luck and good things, that is what I deserve, is \"taken for granted\". Even some people are not satisfied, thinking \"not enough, more\". Insatiable, this is the nature of some people.

That is to say, it is also difficult to be grateful for good or bad things.

Actually,In the face of disaster, suffering, and unfortunate circumstances, it is a perfect opportunity to express gratitude. Why do you say that? Because this kind of harsh environment, situation, can exercise our mind, tempering our soul.

People who have been religious or spiritual for a long time may naturally develop the habit of being thankful for everything. But those of us who have not practiced must force ourselves to be thankful to this extent.

Although this is a very simple secret of life, but no one to teach us. Schools will not teach to students, and parents may not be able to teach their children.Because there are very few people who know the importance of this attitude to life in their minds and can really implement it in their lives.

Mr. Inamori reading \"The Legacy of Nanzhou Weng\" (Photo: Katsuo Kanno)The secret to surviving a harsh life:

Accept disaster \"with pleasure\"

Buddhism says: \"Thought creates karma.\" That is to say, what is thought in the heart will become \"karma\", that is, it will become the cause, and the cause will create the \"result\" of reality.

When disaster comes, if our mindset is wrong, it may call for even greater disaster. The way to avoid this is to accept the disaster \"happily\".

If you are injured, you have to think, \"Ah, it's okay. Only this little injury is over. It's not so miserable that you can't even move your body.\" If you are sick, you have to feel happy. \"Just this little illness can be cured with an operation. How lucky.\"

When a disaster occurs, it means eliminating business.

Needless to say, a big disaster can eliminate karma. Even a small disaster can eliminate karma. Therefore, you should be happy. Even if you don't think so in your heart, you should use reason to make yourself happy. This is important.

The person who gave me this precious teaching was my life mentor-Master Nishiban Danxue, the former director of Miaoxin Temple Sect of Linji Sect. I have asked him for advice on many things.

Previously, Kyocera manufactured and supplied artificial knee joints for medical use without obtaining a license. This incident was widely reported in the media and inspired criticism of Kyocera.Despite the special background of this matter, I don't make any defense to it, just repeatedly apologize and apologize.

In front of Kyocera headquarters, rows of cameras were filled for several days, and the TV repeatedly showed the footage of me bowing my head to apologize. I was physically and mentally exhausted, so I went to the mage for advice.

The mage brewed his tea as usual, listened carefully to me, and then said to me,\"Very good. When disaster strikes, that is, when the karma created in the past disappears. Such a little criticism can eliminate karma. We must celebrate it.\"

I thought that the mage would definitely comfort me, but I didn't expect the mage to say this. I felt that his words were cold and ruthless.

But, after carefully chewing this passage, my heart was healed and deeply comforted.

People who live without disaster do not exist, and disaster will strike at unexpected times and in unexpected forms.

At this time, you can't be depressed or fall into the abyss of despair. Be happy about it, be thankful, and then take a new step.

This sentence is a great treasure in my life

In my life's journey so far, every time I should express my gratitude, one of the words I can't help but blurt out is \"Nanman, Nanman, thank you\".

\"Nanman\" is the dialect pronunciation of \"Namo Amitabha\". In my distant childhood, my father once took me to a place where I chanted Buddha. I learned this phrase there.

At that time, my father was holding my hand and walking on the gloomy mountain road after sunset. Finally, they arrived at a simple hut deep in the mountain forest, and the sound of monks chanting sutras came from the hut.

We sat down. The monk urged the participants to bow to the Buddhist altar one by one. I followed my father's example and folded my hands to pray.

The monk said to me in a comforting tone, \"It's not easy to come all the way from Kagoshima today.\"

Then he continued, \"Child, you have received the approval of the Buddha to visit today, and you will not have to come again in the future. But from now on, every day you must recite the words' Nanman, Nanman, thank you' to express your gratitude to the Buddha.\"

Since then, this sentence has buried itself in my heart and became a great asset in my life.

I had no special talent and suffered from frustration in my youth. People like me have actually made certain achievements in the field of business management, probably because I understand this sentence and always hang the meaning of gratitude on my lips. The culprit who leads life astray

It is often success and praise

Without humility, thankfulness cannot sprout.

Things go slightly smoothly, and with the praise of people around you, your heart will be shaken, like a kite with a broken string, flying everywhere, this is the nature of some people.

If this continues, we will become arrogant without knowing it, and we will adopt outrageous and rude attitudes towards others. The culprit that makes life go astray is not necessarily failure and setback, but often success and praise.

Founded Kyocera, the operation on track, with considerable profits. At that time, I thought, \"The company has such a high income, but my annual salary is so low. Isn't it too much of a loss?\"

I created the company by my talent, and I created profits by my talent, so it is understandable to take several times the annual salary now. This thought popped into my mind.

But, I soon realized that I was becoming arrogant about the heart. I carried out profound self-admonishment.

The talents he possessed were by no means his own personal possessions. They were only given by chance. This kind of talent, if not for me, is normal. There was nothing unbelievable about the role I played, which was assumed by someone else.

Therefore,This kind of talent can not only be used by oneself, but should be used by the world and society.I started thinking this way.

Why is it said that ability and talent can't only be owned by yourself?

Not limited to humans, suppose taking away all the attributes that make living things — physical, spiritual, conscious, perceptual, etc. — all that remains is \"what is called\" being \".

With this \"being\" at its core, all life is formed. It sometimes takes the form of a flower and sometimes plays the role of a person.

That is to say,Things other than the \"core of existence,\" such as body and mind, thoughts and feelings, or money, status and reputation, or even talents, all of which are merely borrowed things, all of which are bestowed accessories.

Thinking about it in this way, ideas such as \"this is my thing” and\" that success is my credit” become unfounded, and what we believe to be ourselves is nothing more than what is temporarily deposited with us in this world, and whose true owner we don't know at all. When the end of this life comes, we should return these deposits to Heaven without any remorse.

With such thoughts in life and work, pride and arrogance will disappear in your heart, and your heart will be filled with gratitude and modesty.

Extremely serious and focused at the moment

Is the best spiritual practice

Always be thankful, humble and self-disciplined, and never forget to show love and kindness to others. Such a mindset is what attracts the beautiful reality.

The English thinker James Ellen, in his book The Law of Cause and Effect, made the following argument:

\"There is a tendency, (omitted)Whether it is the immediate goal or the purpose of life, it is always easier for people with pure hearts to achieve it than for people with dirty hearts.”

There are people around us who, although not smart or capable, challenge with pure motivation and work tirelessly to finish what everyone considers difficult to accomplish.

Talented people, on the other hand, make meticulous plans that can't go smoothly.

Because no matter how good a plan is, if its motivation stems from evil thoughts, even if it achieves momentary success, that success cannot be sustained.

So, what is the best way to purify and beautify the mind?
