The company's hit content was a leading factor in the improvement, but its third quarter might not be so lucky -- here's why.A lack of hit contentOn July 19, Netflix co-CEO Reed Hastings discussed the company's positive second-quarter results in an earnings call, attributing much of its improved subscriber losses to its content -- thanking one show in particular. The executive said, \"If there was a single thing, we might say Stranger Things.\" Part 1 of the show's fourth season was released May 27, generating 1.3 billion viewing hours in the first four weeks -- becoming Netflix's biggest season for an English series ever.In addition to the juggernaut Stranger Things, Q2 2022 also saw the finale of the Netflix hit Ozark on April 29, with the release of part 2 of the show's final season. The last seven episodes racked up 78.4 million viewing hours in its first three days, making it the company's most-watched English-language TV series before Stranger Things Season 4 was released a month later. The third quarter had a good start with the release of Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 on July 1, but there are not many reasons for subscribers to stay beyond that. The next big releases during the month have been the game-adapted series Resident Evil on July 14 and the Ryan Gosling-led film The Gray Man on July 22. Resident Evil has since become one of Netflix's worst-rated shows in history, and while The Gray Man could encourage views, popular shows are what pull in subscribers. Releases such as Uncharted in August and the Marylin Monroe biopic Blonde in September are great additions to Netflix's film library but aren't going to encourage subscriber retention. The best-performing series adding a new season in Q3 2022 is high school comedy-drama Never Have I Ever, with its third season launching on August 12. The show's second season landed in the top 10 of more than 70 countries in July 2021, garnering 132 million viewing hours from July 11 to August 1, 2021. While the show's stats are impressive, the second season garnered just 13.5% of Stranger Things Season 4 Part 1's viewership in the same length of time . Even with Stranger Things, Netflix lost almost a million subscribers in Q2 2022; improvements aren't likely in Q3.Waiting for adsWhile Netflix waits for subsequent seasons of its hard-hitting series to boost memberships, the next likely push for subscriber growth will be the introduction of its ad-supported tier. The company announced its venture into ads in early 2022, partnering with Microsoft to get the job done. As ad-supported streaming options have grown in popularity, the move is positive for the company and potentially opens up a market of people who previously saw the platform as too expensive. However, the ad initiative will not come into effect until at least early 2023 -- leaving less to boost Q3 2022.Additionally, a recent study from Civic Science has shown that ad-supported options are more likely to attract existing Netflix subscribers than new ones. A survey in mid-July showed that 32% of current Netflix members would likely make the switch to a lower-priced ad-supported tier. However, 26% of non-Netflix members said they'd probably subscribe to the ad-supported option. So, while Netflix is hopeful that an ad-supported service will boost subscriber growth, it looks more likely to retain current members. The data suggests that even if the ad-supported tier launched in Q3, it might not garner the subscriber growth investors are hoping for.Can things turn around in Q4?In terms of content, the fourth quarter of 2022 will bring some major releases to Netflix members, including the highly anticipated fifth season of The Crown in November, and subsequent seasons of Emily in Paris, Big Mouth, and You will likely launch before the year's out. Of course, not every quarter can have a Stranger Things, but Q4 is more likely to draw in big viewing numbers than Q3.The future of Netflix will be a waiting game for streaming service stock investors. Third quarter earnings may be disappointing, but that's not to say Netflix won't have a successful 2023 with the launch of its ad-supported tier, password-sharing crackdowns, and even an expansion of Netflix Games. So there is still hope for the streaming giant, but it will require patience.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NFLX":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2538,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9077560605,"gmtCreate":1658542412007,"gmtModify":1676536174331,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"random but does the president getting covid affect the stock market?","listText":"random but does the president getting covid affect the stock market?","text":"random but does the president getting covid affect the stock market?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9077560605","repostId":"1160141063","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2845,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9074775249,"gmtCreate":1658418390881,"gmtModify":1676536155887,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Starbucks(SBUX)$going up baby <3","listText":"$Starbucks(SBUX)$going up baby <3","text":"$Starbucks(SBUX)$going up baby <3","images":[{"img":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/842c72fe0b55cd762f3a20d636e8a419","width":"1170","height":"2325"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9074775249","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2966,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9074811668,"gmtCreate":1658330180554,"gmtModify":1676536141976,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Momentus Inc.(MNTS)$Not bad of a day ","listText":"$Momentus Inc.(MNTS)$Not bad of a day ","text":"$Momentus Inc.(MNTS)$Not bad of a day","images":[{"img":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/4ff9e57b3571fcb2b3e4d8c6292c0793","width":"1170","height":"2205"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9074811668","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3071,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9078484403,"gmtCreate":1657736896202,"gmtModify":1676536052769,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"im expecting a huge bear in near future on all US Stocks.","listText":"im expecting a huge bear in near future on all US Stocks.","text":"im expecting a huge bear in near future on all US Stocks.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9078484403","repostId":"1157403160","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1157403160","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1657725824,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1157403160?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-07-13 23:23","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Large-Cap Stocks to Sell Now","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1157403160","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"These industry leaders are all top large-cap stocks to sell before bigger losses arrive.Nvidia(NVDA)","content":"
\n
These industry leaders are all top large-cap stocks to sell before bigger losses arrive.Nvidia(NVDA): Semiconductors have lagged the recovery in growth stocks, pointing to more pain.Adobe(ADBE): SAAS ...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The recent surge in the U.S. dollar to a twenty-year high is also bound to play a negative role. To get ahead of what could cause bears to return with a vengeance, below are three large-cap stocks to sell before it’s too late. And it’s not just the deteriorating fundamentals that are cause for caution. The price action of these industry giants is ugly, even as many stocks are finally showing bottoming patterns. Downtrends have taken root across all time frames, and rallies continue to fail at overhead resistance levels. Until the tone changes, the path of resistance is lower.Let’s take a closer look and map out to capitalize on further pain.Nvidia (NVDA)Source: The thinkorswim® platform from TD AmeritradeYou’d be hard-pressed to find an industry chart that looks uglier than semiconductors. Even with the recent rebound in growth stocks, semis haven’t been able to pull out of their downtrend. Nvidia(NASDAQ:NVDA) has set the bearish tone as the largest player in the space. Its trend sunk to a new 52-week low last week at $140.55, and though a four-day rally arrived, it only got as high as its declining 20-day moving average. This area halted the last advance and is a common gathering ground for sellers.Bulls will say that with NVDA stock already down nearly 50%, a recession and other headwinds buffeting the stock are priced in. But you could have speculated the same thing when Nvidia was down 30% and 40%. Yet it went lower. The same risk remains. Until the trend changes, this is a stock to sell into strength. To capitalize on the next descent, consider buying put spreads. The Trade: Buy the Aug $150/$140 bear put spread for $3.75.You’re risking $3.75 to make $6.25 if NVDA sits below $140 at expiration.Adobe (ADBE)Source: The thinkorswim® platform from TD AmeritradeAdobe(NASDAQ:ADBE) shares have been laid low this year, and despite a respectable bounce off the lows, prices are struggling with stiff resistance at $400. In midday trading Tuesday, ADBE is forming a nasty reversal candle that signals the beginning of its next down-leg.The declining 50-day moving average allows for tight stop placement, and if prices retest last month’s lows ($338), then there’s a lot of potential reward for new short trades. We’ve seen nothing but underwhelming numbers and down gaps over the past three reports on the earnings front. The consistent disappointment backs up the bear case.Throw it all together, and Adobe is one of the more obvious large-cap stocks to sell now. Here’s an option spread to profit from its pain. The Trade: Buy the Aug $360/$340 put spread for $5.You’re risking $5 to make $15 if prices sink below $340 by expiration.Deere (DE)Source: The thinkorswim® platform from TD AmeritradeDeere(NYSE:DE) rounds out today’s large-cap stocks to sell with a freshly completed topping pattern that was one year in the making. The length of the top and significance of the $320 broken support zone mean future rallies will be highly suspect. At the same time, DE stock rallied so far during the recovery that it created very few support levels. Many stocks have roundtripped the post-pandemic recovery, returning to the breakout areas from late 2020. But Deere isn’t even close. That leaves ample room for prices to unwind if participants feel a similar reset is warranted. The May earnings report sent prices plunging, and we’ve seen weak action every since. If that weren’t enough, DE stock has underperformed the S&P 500 during the past month’s bounce, making it an easy target for bears seeking relative weakness.Consider selling Deere shares and only revisiting it if the technicals turn higher. You can also deploy put spreads to exploit the downtrend. The Trade: Buy the Aug $290/$270 put spread for $6.The risk is $6, and the reward is $14 if DE sits below $270 at expiration.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"DE":0.9,"ADBE":0.9,"NVDA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3095,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9078519378,"gmtCreate":1657713583694,"gmtModify":1676536049677,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Exxon Mobil(XOM)$bear market sadly","listText":"$Exxon Mobil(XOM)$bear market sadly","text":"$Exxon Mobil(XOM)$bear market sadly","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9078519378","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3031,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9071596018,"gmtCreate":1657550661634,"gmtModify":1676536023892,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"True. The three stocks I thought were going to lose to the market for the week -- Coinbase, H&R Block, and WD-40-- finished up 23%, up 1%, and down 13%, respectively, averaging out to a 3.7% increase. The S&P 500 experienced a 1.9% ascent, but the investments I figured would fare rose nearly twice as much. I was wrong. But I have still been correct in 25 of the past 38 weeks.Where do I go to next? I see Conagra, Coinbase, and ExxonMobil as stocks you may want to consider steering clear of this week. Let's go over my near-term concerns with all three investments.ConagraThere's a good chance that there's some Conagra in your kitchen. Scour your fridge or pantry, and you may find some Slim Jim beef jerky, Pam non-stick spray, Hunt's ketchup, or Log Cabin maple syrup. There are dozens of Conagra brands that are literally and figuratively household names. I'm still con Conagra this week. The brand giant reports financial results on Thursday morning. It hasn't been very impressive lately. It has failed to exceed analyst profit targets in back-to-back quarters, and Wall Street expectations have been trending lower in recent months. Being a haven for premium brands isn't a lot of fun when the economy's wobbly and folks are trading down to lower-margin store brands. Wall Street sees revenue at Conagra climbing just 3% this year as well as 2023. It's hard to get excited about this week's financial update with that backdrop.CoinbaseThe one stock that burned me last week was Coinbase. It soared 23%, more than offsetting the other two selections that failed to beat the market. But I'm not sure the rally is sustainable. Crypto markets have bounced back, but confidence is rattled for digital currency traders. A couple of notable platforms have either frozen assets or filed for bankruptcy protection.Recovery won't be easy, and you can be sure that the once beefy yields that folks were earning on some of these platforms aren't coming back anytime soon. Coinbase is the top dog, and it will survive the current crisis. It has a strong balance sheet, and it didn't go deep into the risk spectrum to deliver staking rewards for its users. However, Coinbase was reeling even before lesser platforms were exposed. Retail trading volume plummeted 58% sequentially in this year's first quarter, and the second quarter that concluded last week probably isn't going to hold up much better. Crypto prices may be starting to stabilize now that stock prices are also showing some resiliency, but a lot of scorched investors are going to stay away for now.ExxonMobilStocks were rallying last week, but one of the hottest industries of 2022 took a breather. Oil and gas stocks declined as energy costs inched lower. Will the sector rotation continue in the week ahead? You don't want to bet against ExxonMobil over the long haul. The integrated oil major has more going for it than just the recent pain at the pump. However, sector rotation makes hot industries mortal during the shift. Did you realize that ExxonMobil's surge over the past year has dropped its once meteoric yield to just 4.1%? If stocks continue to rally it's a safe bet that ExxonMobil will be a laggard for now. It's going to be a bumpy road for some of these investments. If you're looking for safe stocks, you aren't likely to find them in Conagra, Coinbase, and ExxonMobil this week.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"CAG":0.9,"XOM":0.9,"COIN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":906,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9044706102,"gmtCreate":1656813445206,"gmtModify":1676535897956,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"wah crazy. im glad they managed to found their codings earlier!","listText":"wah crazy. im glad they managed to found their codings earlier!","text":"wah crazy. im glad they managed to found their codings earlier!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":1,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9044706102","repostId":"2248059548","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2248059548","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1656812596,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2248059548?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-07-03 09:43","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla Receives Recall Order From Germany for Models Y and 3","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2248059548","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"Germany’s automotive regulator has called on Tesla Inc. to issue a recall for its models Y and 3 bec","content":"
\n
Germany’s automotive regulator has called on Tesla Inc. to issue a recall for its models Y and 3 because of a technical problem in the cars’ emergency system. The Federal Motor Transport Authority can ...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n","source":"lsy1584095487587","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Affected owners were told to call the manufacturer or drive to an authorized repair shop for a software update. The notice was published on June 29 and reported by public broadcaster Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg on Saturday. The affected cars were produced this year and, according to RBB, include Model Y vehicles built at Tesla’s new factory near Berlin.Model Y cars are also produced at the group’s plants in Fremont, California, and near Shanghai. But with that friendly environment in the rearview mirror, Musk's firm is down 41% this year. And while its $725 billion market cap still dwarfs Volkswagen's $82 billion (down 22%), the more established Volkswagen made $296 billion in revenue last year, up 16%, to Tesla's $53 billion, up 71%.The combination of VW's establishment advantage and Tesla's sudden growing pains is the key reason Diess thinks his company can round into first place:VW has invested over €52 billion to develop battery-powered EVs, and doubled the number of all-electric vehicles it sold to 369,000 last year -- Tesla delivered 936,000. This year, VW plans to sell 700,000 EVs, while Musk has suggested his firm will deliver 1.5 million. But while VW's EV plant in Saxony is running at full capacity and its factories in China are back online, Tesla is still struggling with supply chain backlogs -- last week, Musk called the company's German and US plants \"gigantic money furnaces\" that are \"losing billions of dollars.\" Musk also began laying off 10% of Tesla's workforce earlier this month, which has already earned the company a class action lawsuit.\"Elon must simultaneously ramp up two highly complex factories in Austin and Grünheide and expand production in Shanghai,\" Diess said, according to German newspaper Handesblatt. \"That will cost him strength.\"Troll Wars: Diess included a meme in his presentation to employees that he tweeted earlier this month, in which actor Jason Momoa, representing VW, is seen sneaking up on Henry Cavill, representing Tesla. One may be German and the other South African, but Diess sure knows how to speak Elon's language.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":969,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9045359710,"gmtCreate":1656564697931,"gmtModify":1676535855227,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"its a steal to buy netflix at the moment with their shares plumenting. also i could it see netflix shares bear for the next month.","listText":"its a steal to buy netflix at the moment with their shares plumenting. also i could it see netflix shares bear for the next month.","text":"its a steal to buy netflix at the moment with their shares plumenting. also i could it see netflix shares bear for the next month.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9045359710","repostId":"2247959044","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2247959044","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1656555390,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2247959044?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-30 10:16","market":"us","language":"en","title":"2 of the Best Nasdaq Stocks to Buy for July","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2247959044","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"These stocks have taken a beating this year but their growth potential remains promising.","content":"
\n
Did you know that over the past 10 years, the Nasdaq has been a much better place to invest in than the S&P 500? With over 300% gains, it's dwarfed the broader index, which has increased by less than 200% during the same time frame. And that's with factoring in this year's downturn in the markets. The Nasdaq is home to some of the best growth stocks in the world. And a drop in valuations could create a fantastic buying opportunity for investors willing to buy and hold. A couple of the best stocks you can buy on the Nasdaq today are Align Technology and Netflix.1. Align TechnologyAlign Technology, the company behind the popular Invisalign clear aligners for teeth, has been experiencing tremendous growth over the years. While there have been some recent fluctuations due to the pandemic, over the past five years, the company has averaged a growth rate of more than 33%:ALGN Revenue (Quarterly YoY Growth) data by YCharts. The company's growth rate has stalled of late due to challenging economic situations across the globe. COVID-19 lockdowns in China have also had a negative impact on the company's business. It may still be a challenging road ahead for Align as its aligners can cost close to $2,000 or more -- a big cost to take on amid soaring inflation. While patients can pay over multiple years, it may limit demand for the aligners in the near term.As a result of the slowing sales growth and the challenges that lay ahead for the business, the stock is down a whopping 62% this year, while the Nasdaq is down a more modest 26%. However, the company, showing confidence in its business, decided that this downturn is a great time to buy up shares. In May, Align announced an accelerated stock repurchase agreement where it will buy back $200 million worth of common stock before the end of July. CEO Joe Hogan also plans to buy $2 million worth of stock.Investors may want to follow suit as analysts from Grand View Research expect huge growth from this sector. They anticipate that the global clear aligners market to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 29.5% until 2030. As a leader in the industry, Align could make for an excellent buy-and-forget investment.2. NetflixStreaming-giant Netflix is also down big this year. At close to 70%, its losses have sent the stock back to 2017 levels. Last year, most investors likely would have jumped at the chance to buy Netflix at 2017 prices. Now, it has suddenly become a horrible buy because of a slowdown in subscriber numbers. The company has laid off hundreds of employees this year in an effort to curb costs as its revenue growth slows. However, I'd argue this is a good thing for long-term investors. For far too long, Netflix knew about password sharing and piled on more content than was likely necessary. The company has tons of content that it probably doesn't need, and there could be significant cost savings out there just by being more diligent. Meanwhile, cracking down on password sharing could help it add more revenue, and so could adding an ad-supported tier.By focusing more on costs, the business may be better off in the long run. When a business is growing fast and sales are soaring, everything is great and no one slows down to think about expenses because the company is beating expectations. But once that stops, suddenly those costs become a concern. However, Netflix's business isn't broken by any means. The sell-off has been extreme and the stock could be one heck of an investment if the business can trim some unneeded expenses. This is still a remarkable company that over the trailing 12 months has reported a profit of more than $5 billion on revenue of $30 billion, for an impressive profit margin of 16%.Investors should consider buying the stock and not the fear. Netflix may be one of the best bargains out there today, trading at just 17 times its profits.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ALGN":0.9,"NFLX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":984,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9045350302,"gmtCreate":1656564447006,"gmtModify":1676535855188,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"with the manufacturing of gigafactory berlin, shanghai and new york on its way, im sure they'll increase its manufacturing unit by 5x or 10 fold! at the same time we'd say goodbye to gasoline cars in a decade or so :(","listText":"with the manufacturing of gigafactory berlin, shanghai and new york on its way, im sure they'll increase its manufacturing unit by 5x or 10 fold! at the same time we'd say goodbye to gasoline cars in a decade or so :(","text":"with the manufacturing of gigafactory berlin, shanghai and new york on its way, im sure they'll increase its manufacturing unit by 5x or 10 fold! at the same time we'd say goodbye to gasoline cars in a decade or so :(","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9045350302","repostId":"1115761118","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1115761118","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1656557823,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1115761118?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-30 10:57","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla Ramps up Gigafactory Texas to Thousands of Units Per Week, Adds New Model Y Version","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1115761118","media":"Electrek","summary":"Tesla has managed to ramp up production at Gigafactory Texas to thousands of units per week, adding ","content":"

Tesla has managed to ramp up production at Gigafactory Texas to thousands of units per week, adding production of the Model Y Long Range on top of the Standard Range version.

The automaker is being secretive about data on its production ramp at Gigafactory Texas.

It is one of Tesla’s most important projects, as it invested billions of dollars in the giant factory, and it will not recoup that money until the plant reaches volume production.

After slowly starting production of the Model Y late in 2021, Tesla has been gradually ramping up and started deliveries of Texas-built Model Y vehicles in April.

The ramp up has been difficult as Tesla has been building the Model Ys at Gigafactory Texas with its new 4680 battery cell and structural battery pack, which have been the bottleneck.

Tesla has been aiming to produce 10,000 vehicles per week at the factory by the end of the year.

The current production rate of Gigafactory Texas has been unknown, but it was believed to be less than a thousand Model Y vehicles per week.

NowElectrekhas obtained inside information for the first time that gives us a better idea of Tesla’s production rate at the new factory.

Sources familiar with the matter say that Tesla has managed to ramp up production since adding a new version of the Model Y, Model Y Long Range, and it now produces several thousand vehicles per week.

One source said that Tesla is making as many as 5,000 vehicles available to deliver per week from Gigafactory Texas, but it’s not clear if that’s a sustainable rate. Now that the pandemic has eased and the rapid growth of online shopping has subsided, some investors are ditching these stocks. What those hesitant investors haven't accounted for is that the shopping habits people acquired over the past few years have become just that -- habits. Smart investors should expect that the gains made by e-commerce businesses over the past few years will mostly persist. That's good news for e-commerce giants Amazon and Shopify. Amazon needs no introduction as it's the world's largest e-commerce retailer. Fewer people may know Shopify, but its software platform powers more than 1 million e-commerce stores around the world. Both stocks have taken a hit this past year based on this investor hesitancy: Amazon is down about 44.5% from its all-time high, while Shopify is down about 82%. If you go back to before the pandemic was declared, the news is just as bad. Amazon stock is up a mere 10% since March 1, 2020, and Shopify stock is down 32%. The market now values these companies at levels comparable to or lower than it did before a colossal growth catalyst massively grew their customer bases. Is this logical? Or is the market giving investors a couple of fantastic buying opportunities?Pandemic business gainsTo see how much business each gained during the pandemic, let's compare first-quarter numbers from 2020 and 2022. Both companies grew impressively over those two years, with the younger Shopify generating the most growth.CompanyQ1 2020 Sales or GMVQ1 2022 Sales or GMVGrowthAmazon$258.7 billion$410.6 billion59%Shopify$17.4 billion$43.2 billion148%Source: Amazon and Shopify. Amazon's key statistic is sales, as it recognizes revenue when it sells a product. Shopify's key statistic is gross merchandise volume (GMV), as it only processes sales. With Amazon, many customers who had used the service for years began using it to purchase items they hadn't necessarily bought online before the pandemic. Some consumers returned to their old shopping patterns now that social distancing efforts have waned, but Amazon's massive sales growth suggests many are sticking with their new habits.Shopify provides its business clients with the websites, services, and infrastructure necessary to run e-commerce stores. It generates revenue by processing the business's transactions and charging monthly fees for its various services. Shopify has grown its business by continuing to service all of the new businesses that opened online stores through Shopify during the pandemic.I would give Shopify the edge in its recent business gains, as Amazon's North American sales only rose 8% year over year in Q1 2022, while its international sales fell 6%. While Shopify's gross merchandise volume rose 16% and its overall revenue grew 22%. Shopify is still seeing decent growth, while Amazon's has slowed (partly as a reflection of tough year-over-year comparisons).Winner: ShopifyAncillary businessesBoth companies' operations are broader than just e-commerce. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the market leader in its cloud computing niche, is growing rapidly, and is highly profitable. In Q1, its sales were up 37% year over year, and it ran at a 35% operating margin. If AWS was a stand-alone business, it might be one of the best stocks in the entire market to own.Shopify is expanding its operations to meet more needs that customers appear to want, like its growing fulfillment network which will help its (often small-scale) clients offer the same services that big retailers do, like two-day shipping and easy returns. This segment is vital for Shopify as it expands its e-commerce offerings. Still, because its focus is nearly all retail, its dependence on retail could become an issue if the U.S. enters a recession.Winner: AmazonHead-to-head competitionBefore 2015, the Amazon Webstore unit provided services to small businesses in a similar fashion to Shopify. However, Amazon shut down the division because it could not successfully compete with Shopify.Amazon seems to be headed back into direct competition with Shopify with its new Buy with Prime feature. This add-on allows third-party sellers to add a \"Buy with Prime\" button to their e-commerce sites. Customers who select it can checkout with their Prime accounts, and Amazon will fulfill their orders with the promise of two-day delivery.Amazon's fulfillment network is more built out than Shopify's, so this should be a considerable concern for Shopify, as some of its customers may choose to launch new websites using Amazon's new feature. However, Shopify CEO and co-founder Tobi Lütke said during the Q1 conference call that he was thrilled with the introduction of Buy with Prime and would work to integrate it into Shopify's platform. While I don't know how this will shake out, it seems strange to me that a product that could take business away from Shopify is something its CEO would be excited about. However, Lütke has a long and successful track record, so while I'm skeptical, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.Winner: TieWhich stock is the better buy?In terms of the three categories above, the competition between these two companies ends in a tie. But if I were to choose just one of their stocks to buy now, I'd pick Shopify.Amazon has likely saturated the e-commerce market and will have difficulty growing faster than the pace of e-commerce as a whole. Shopify still has a long way to go to fulfill its mission of equipping small- and medium-sized businesses with the tools they need to sell directly to consumers.Additionally, because Shopify receives a monthly fee from each client, it makes no sense that its stock trades below its pre-pandemic price. Both stocks represent great values at their current prices, but Shopify gets the nod from me.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMZN":1,"SHOP":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1021,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9054162228,"gmtCreate":1655354754764,"gmtModify":1676535621848,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$Huat","listText":"$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$Huat","text":"$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$Huat","images":[{"img":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/2be03a5556a52aec86ebc6cd688c7c1a","width":"1170","height":"2445"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9054162228","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1193,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":9044706102,"gmtCreate":1656813445206,"gmtModify":1676535897956,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"wah crazy. im glad they managed to found their codings earlier!","listText":"wah crazy. im glad they managed to found their codings earlier!","text":"wah crazy. im glad they managed to found their codings earlier!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":1,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9044706102","repostId":"2248059548","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2248059548","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1656812596,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2248059548?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-07-03 09:43","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla Receives Recall Order From Germany for Models Y and 3","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2248059548","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"Germany’s automotive regulator has called on Tesla Inc. to issue a recall for its models Y and 3 bec","content":"
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The three stocks I thought were going to lose to the market for the week -- Coinbase, H&R Block, and WD-40-- finished up 23%, up 1%, and down 13%, respectively, averaging out to a 3.7% increase. If you're looking for safe stocks, you aren't likely to find them in Conagra, Coinbase, and ExxonMobil this week.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"CAG":0.9,"XOM":0.9,"COIN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":906,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9908321705,"gmtCreate":1659323855907,"gmtModify":1676536287403,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"no worries i have us stock market :))","listText":"no worries i have us stock market :))","text":"no worries i have us stock market :))","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9908321705","repostId":"1194380840","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1194380840","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1659679547,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1194380840?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-08-05 14:05","market":"sg","language":"en","title":"Reminder: SG Market Will Be Closed on August 9 for Singapore National Day","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1194380840","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Singapore National Day is around the corner. The recent surge in the U.S. dollar to a twenty-year high is also bound to play a negative role. The Trade: Buy the Aug $290/$270 put spread for $6.The risk is $6, and the reward is $14 if DE sits below $270 at expiration.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"DE":0.9,"ADBE":0.9,"NVDA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3095,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9045359710,"gmtCreate":1656564697931,"gmtModify":1676535855227,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"its a steal to buy netflix at the moment with their shares plumenting. also i could it see netflix shares bear for the next month.","listText":"its a steal to buy netflix at the moment with their shares plumenting. also i could it see netflix shares bear for the next month.","text":"its a steal to buy netflix at the moment with their shares plumenting. also i could it see netflix shares bear for the next month.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9045359710","repostId":"2247959044","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2247959044","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1656555390,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2247959044?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-30 10:16","market":"us","language":"en","title":"2 of the Best Nasdaq Stocks to Buy for July","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2247959044","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"These stocks have taken a beating this year but their growth potential remains promising.","content":"
Netflix may be one of the best bargains out there today, trading at just 17 times its profits.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ALGN":0.9,"NFLX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":984,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9077560605,"gmtCreate":1658542412007,"gmtModify":1676536174331,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"random but does the president getting covid affect the stock market?","listText":"random but does the president getting covid affect the stock market?","text":"random but does the president getting covid affect the stock market?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9077560605","repostId":"1160141063","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2845,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9057579423,"gmtCreate":1655534164262,"gmtModify":1676535659168,"author":{"id":"3584595151386482","authorId":"3584595151386482","name":"Shah Iran","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/816ccc112c7aa5ec374a714848f66192","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584595151386482","authorIdStr":"3584595151386482"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"i believe u cant go wrong with either! so Huat!!","listText":"i believe u cant go wrong with either! so Huat!!","text":"i believe u cant go wrong with either! so Huat!!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9057579423","repostId":"2244115308","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2244115308","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1655467903,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2244115308?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-17 20:11","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Better Buy: Amazon vs. Shopify","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2244115308","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Neither of these e-commerce giants has gotten any love from the stock market recently.","content":"
\n
E-commerce stocks were all the rage during the early stages of the pandemic.
