With these questions in mind, All Weather Technology had a dialogue with Xia Qinghua, general manager of Nio Shanghai, trying to find the answer.</p><p><b>The following is part of the conversation (edited by All Weather Technology):</b></p><p><h2><b>Build a concept store of the future</b></h2>All-weather technology: Will concept stores be extended to offline stores in all cities in the future?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: These are two directions.</p><p>Nio Neo House is a space for car owners to share happiness and grow together. Next, we will make something unique for Neo Houses in different locations in each city.</p><p>For example, Shanghai CITIC Tower is the tallest building in China and represents height, so this Neo House should show the most forward-looking technology. The Neo House in Xingye Taikoo Hui, Nanjing West Road, Shanghai may have fashion-related elements in addition to display cars and lifestyle.</p><p>All-weather technology: Neo House doesn't seem to have a centralized concept, but exports a lot of concepts at the same time?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: Yes. Because these are all what the Nio system has been doing, whether it's fashion related, or Neo Life. We only need to add some elements to it according to local customs and regional cultural characteristics.</p><p>What Nio brings to users has not changed from before. It still produces high-end smart electric vehicles, providing users with a good car experience and a good lifestyle. These tones remain unchanged.</p><p>There was no fixed place to tell the market before that Nio is a company that has done so much in the field of forward-looking technology in addition to being recognized as the best service. So, we want to show these things (technological strength) to everyone.</p><p><h2><b>At this stage, battery replacement is a heavy investment</b></h2>All-weather technology: Regarding the problem of user charging, Nio not only accepts the method of direct battery replacement, but also continues to build battery swap stations. Will there be emphasis on the two approaches in the future?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: Indeed, a few years ago, some car companies would be very firm in saying that they would only build charging piles with higher voltage and higher current and not do battery swapping, but last year they also began to consider battery swapping.</p><p>Nio has always adhered to the five elements of vehicles, stations, piles, people and clouds together. The so-called \"car\" is a mobile charging car; \"Station\" means the battery swap station; \"Pile\" refers to the \"overcharging\" of three AC and small tributaries; \"People\" means that we have a huge road service team to help users make one-click home appliances; \"Cloud\" is the mobilization system of the whole cloud.</p><p>When it comes to charging, Nio is the first and most mature company to do battery replacement. We already have more than 400 power stations across the country, and Nio took the lead in drafting the national battery swap safety standards.</p><p>All-weather technology: There are two ways to swap batteries and lay out charging piles. From the perspective of Nio, which one is more expensive?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: At present, \"home charging piles\" are delivered with the car and are included in the cost of the whole vehicle; The \"home charging fast charging pile\" with a power of 20 kilowatts is deployed by us on our own initiative, usually near shopping malls and office buildings; 180-kilowatt \"supercharging pile\", with<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TSLA\">Tesla</a>Today's overcharging is of a similar nature.</p><p>Whether it's battery replacement or this set of charging facilities, we have a certain limit on the number of times for car owners to be free. For example, car owners across the country, if they install charging piles, will have 4 free battery replacements every month; If there is no charging pile installed, there will be 6 free battery replacements every month.</p><p>Therefore, for us, at this stage, it is still the welfare of car owners. It is also possible to continue to increase the amount of ownership in the future, or to appropriately reduce the rights and interests. Generally speaking, Nio is currently investing in it from a cost perspective.</p><p>Going back to the cost question just now, I didn't calculate it particularly carefully. But in terms of efficiency, the battery swap station is definitely more efficient than the charging pile. One battery swap station can serve about 1,000 vehicles without any problem.</p><p><h2>Taking root upstream in the supply chain</h2>All-weather technology: Last year, the mass production of Nio vehicles exceeded 40,000 units, and the mass production in the first half of this year reached the level of last year. According to this estimate, mass production will probably double this year?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: This is subject to the financial report figures.</p><p>All-weather technology: We have noticed that some companies have only entered the smart electric vehicle track in the past two years, but their goal is to achieve mass production of 1 million vehicles in 2020. What should the mass production curve of smart cars be? Can you achieve exponential growth so quickly?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: It is related to the production capacity designed by the factory. For example, our production line in Hefei has an annual output of 100,000 units in a single shift, and 300,000 units per year in three shifts. The investment itself is a production capacity line of 100,000 units. If you invest with the intensity of 500,000 annual production capacity, it is possible to quadruple it to 1 million units.</p><p>Mass production depends on many factors. For example, whether someone really buys it, and whether it can really go offline.</p><p>Will the upstream and downstream industrial chains, including making motors, chips, seats, glass, door handles, suspensions, tires, etc., help him prepare the supply of parts with a production capacity of 1 million?</p><p>All-Weather Technology: What are the key reasons currently restricting mass production of smart electric vehicles?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: At this stage, the chip will definitely have a certain impact. The demand for chips in Nio's smart electric vehicles reaches hundreds each. There are hundreds of chips of various models. If any one goes wrong, it may have some impact.</p><p>In the first half of this year, we stopped working for 5 days due to chip restrictions. But in recent months, through the efforts of our supply chain team, it has basically been solved.</p><p>All-weather technology: Does it mean that the chip problem is basically solved?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: Everyone has to stare at it by the day. For example, in the past, most car manufacturers needed large central control screens, so they directly told suppliers that they would need 8,000 large screens next month, and manufacturers would just wait. The Neo House in Xingye Taikoo Hui, Nanjing West Road, Shanghai may have fashion-related elements in addition to display cars and lifestyle.</p><p>All-weather technology: Neo House doesn't seem to have a centralized concept, but exports a lot of concepts at the same time?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: Yes. Because these are all what the Nio system has been doing, whether it's fashion related, or Neo Life. So, we want to show these things (technological strength) to everyone.</p><p><h2><b>At this stage, battery replacement is a heavy investment</b></h2>All-weather technology: Regarding the problem of user charging, Nio not only accepts the method of direct battery replacement, but also continues to build battery swap stations. Will there be emphasis on the two approaches in the future?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: Indeed, a few years ago, some car companies would be very firm in saying that they would only build charging piles with higher voltage and higher current and not do battery swapping, but last year they also began to consider battery swapping.</p><p>Nio has always adhered to the five elements of vehicles, stations, piles, people and clouds together. The so-called \"car\" is a mobile charging car; \"Station\" means the battery swap station; \"Pile\" refers to the \"overcharging\" of three AC and small tributaries; \"People\" means that we have a huge road service team to help users make one-click home appliances; \"Cloud\" is the mobilization system of the whole cloud.</p><p>When it comes to charging, Nio is the first and most mature company to do battery replacement. We already have more than 400 power stations across the country, and Nio took the lead in drafting the national battery swap safety standards.</p><p>All-weather technology: There are two ways to swap batteries and lay out charging piles. From the perspective of Nio, which one is more expensive?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: At present, \"home charging piles\" are delivered with the car and are included in the cost of the whole vehicle; The \"home charging fast charging pile\" with a power of 20 kilowatts is deployed by us on our own initiative, usually near shopping malls and office buildings; 180-kilowatt \"supercharging pile\", with<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TSLA\">Tesla</a>Today's overcharging is of a similar nature.</p><p>Whether it's battery replacement or this set of charging facilities, we have a certain limit on the number of times for car owners to be free. Generally speaking, Nio is currently investing in it from a cost perspective.</p><p>Going back to the cost question just now, I didn't calculate it particularly carefully. But in terms of efficiency, the battery swap station is definitely more efficient than the charging pile. One battery swap station can serve about 1,000 vehicles without any problem.</p><p><h2>Taking root upstream in the supply chain</h2>All-weather technology: Last year, the mass production of Nio vehicles exceeded 40,000 units, and the mass production in the first half of this year reached the level of last year. According to this estimate, mass production will probably double this year?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: This is subject to the financial report figures.</p><p>All-weather technology: We have noticed that some companies have only entered the smart electric vehicle track in the past two years, but their goal is to achieve mass production of 1 million vehicles in 2020. What should the mass production curve of smart cars be? Can you achieve exponential growth so quickly?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: It is related to the production capacity designed by the factory. For example, our production line in Hefei has an annual output of 100,000 units in a single shift, and 300,000 units per year in three shifts. The investment itself is a production capacity line of 100,000 units. If you invest with the intensity of 500,000 annual production capacity, it is possible to quadruple it to 1 million units.</p><p>Mass production depends on many factors. The demand for chips in Nio's smart electric vehicles reaches hundreds each. There are hundreds of chips of various models. If any one goes wrong, it may have some impact.</p><p>In the first half of this year, we stopped working for 5 days due to chip restrictions. But in recent months, through the efforts of our supply chain team, it has basically been solved.</p><p>All-weather technology: Does it mean that the chip problem is basically solved?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: Everyone has to stare at it by the day. For example, in the past, most car manufacturers needed large central control screens, so they directly told suppliers that they would need 8,000 large screens next month, and manufacturers would just wait. Adam蔚来超算平台,还把旗舰车型蔚来ES8的白车身带到了展厅现场。\n据悉,这是国内首个独立研发量产的轻量化全铝车身,铝含量96.4%,采用航空级7003铝合金。下方底盘为双叉臂加多连杆结构,可承受5吨的超高承压及高达60个大气压。\n值得一提的是,蔚来还从超4200项专利里精选了561项专利发明,在展厅中打造了一面“蔚来专利墙”,覆盖整车制造与设计、三电(电池、电机、电控)技术、换电和充电技术、自动驾驶技术、数字座舱技术、车联网技术等全领域。\n蔚来汽车助理副总裁、上海区域总经理夏庆华向全天候科技表示,蔚来科技展厅从今年4月开始概念设计到最后展出,耗时约3个月,但由于展厅内产品均为已有内容,实际只花费了约一周的时间打造展馆。蔚来希望让更多人知道,除了服务之外,在前瞻科技领域也已经做了很多。\n不难看出,蔚来汽车想要通过此举对外展示科技实力,强调科技公司的概念。\n财报显示,2018年-2020年,蔚来汽车的研发投入分别为39.98亿元、44.29亿元、24.88亿元,占当年总营收的比重分别为80.75%、56.59%、15.30%。虽然研发投入占总营收比重逐年下降,但横向对比国内其它“造车新势力”,这部分投入依然处于行业前列。\n“成立到现在,蔚来投入的研发成本大概有400多亿元。接下来几年,每年也将保持50亿元以上的研发投入。”夏庆华向全天候科技透露。\n经历了2019年的黑暗时刻,蔚来似乎已经走出低谷,2020年营收和整车交付量均实现翻倍增长。得益于高毛利率车型ES8和EC6的交付量增加,公司毛利率也开始转正,亏损同比收窄幅度也超过50%。\n随之而来的是股价飞涨。2019年10月31日,蔚来汽车美股一度创历史新低,跌至1.19美元;而截至2021年7月16日收盘,股价已经涨至43.68美元,累计涨幅超2770%。\n从交付量上看,蔚来2020年全年交付量达43728台,同比增长达到112.6%。2021年一季度,蔚来汽车单季交付量首次突破2万大关,达到2.01万辆,同比增长422.7%,环比增长15.6%。按照夏庆华的说法,今年上半年交付量已经超过去年全年。\n趟过资本狂欢,跌入过低谷,再重新站上高岗的蔚来接下来将如何发展?还受制于哪些因素?带着这些问题,全天候科技与蔚来上海区域总经理夏庆华进行了对话,试图找到答案。\n以下为部分对话内容(经全天候科技编辑整理):\n打造未来概念店\n全天候科技:未来会将概念店推广到所有城市的线下门店吗?\n夏庆华:这是两个方向。\n蔚来Neo House是车主分享快乐、共同成长的空间,接下来我们会针对每个城市不同地点的Neo House做一些有特色的东西。\n比如,上海中信大厦是中国第一高楼、代表着高度,所以这个Neo House应该展现最前瞻的科技。而在上海南京西路兴业太古汇的Neo House,可能除了展示车和生活方式之外,会有时尚相关的元素。\n全天候科技:Neo House似乎没有一个集中打造的概念,而是同时输出了非常多的概念?\n夏庆华:是。因为这些都是蔚来体系一直在做的,无论是时尚相关,还是Neo So, we want to show these things (technological strength) to everyone.</p><p><h2><b>At this stage, battery replacement is a heavy investment</b></h2>All-weather technology: Regarding the problem of user charging, Nio not only accepts the method of direct battery replacement, but also continues to build battery swap stations. Will there be emphasis on the two approaches in the future?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: Indeed, a few years ago, some car companies would be very firm in saying that they would only build charging piles with higher voltage and higher current and not do battery swapping, but last year they also began to consider battery swapping.</p><p>Nio has always adhered to the five elements of vehicles, stations, piles, people and clouds together. The so-called \"car\" is a mobile charging car; \"Station\" means the battery swap station; \"Pile\" refers to the \"overcharging\" of three AC and small tributaries; \"People\" means that we have a huge road service team to help users make one-click home appliances; \"Cloud\" is the mobilization system of the whole cloud.</p><p>When it comes to charging, Nio is the first and most mature company to do battery replacement. We already have more than 400 power stations across the country, and Nio took the lead in drafting the national battery swap safety standards.</p><p>All-weather technology: There are two ways to swap batteries and lay out charging piles. From the perspective of Nio, which one is more expensive?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: At present, \"home charging piles\" are delivered with the car and are included in the cost of the whole vehicle; The \"home charging fast charging pile\" with a power of 20 kilowatts is deployed by us on our own initiative, usually near shopping malls and office buildings; 180-kilowatt \"supercharging pile\", with<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TSLA\">Tesla</a>Today's overcharging is of a similar nature.</p><p>Whether it's battery replacement or this set of charging facilities, we have a certain limit on the number of times for car owners to be free. For example, car owners across the country, if they install charging piles, will have 4 free battery replacements every month; If there is no charging pile installed, there will be 6 free battery replacements every month.</p><p>Therefore, for us, at this stage, it is still the welfare of car owners. It is also possible to continue to increase the amount of ownership in the future, or to appropriately reduce the rights and interests. Generally speaking, Nio is currently investing in it from a cost perspective.</p><p>Going back to the cost question just now, I didn't calculate it particularly carefully. But in terms of efficiency, the battery swap station is definitely more efficient than the charging pile. One battery swap station can serve about 1,000 vehicles without any problem.</p><p><h2>Taking root upstream in the supply chain</h2>All-weather technology: Last year, the mass production of Nio vehicles exceeded 40,000 units, and the mass production in the first half of this year reached the level of last year. According to this estimate, mass production will probably double this year?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: This is subject to the financial report figures.</p><p>All-weather technology: We have noticed that some companies have only entered the smart electric vehicle track in the past two years, but their goal is to achieve mass production of 1 million vehicles in 2020. What should the mass production curve of smart cars be? Can you achieve exponential growth so quickly?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: It is related to the production capacity designed by the factory. For example, our production line in Hefei has an annual output of 100,000 units in a single shift, and 300,000 units per year in three shifts. The investment itself is a production capacity line of 100,000 units. If you invest with the intensity of 500,000 annual production capacity, it is possible to quadruple it to 1 million units.</p><p>Mass production depends on many factors. For example, whether someone really buys it, and whether it can really go offline.</p><p>Will the upstream and downstream industrial chains, including making motors, chips, seats, glass, door handles, suspensions, tires, etc., help him prepare the supply of parts with a production capacity of 1 million?</p><p>All-Weather Technology: What are the key reasons currently restricting mass production of smart electric vehicles?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: At this stage, the chip will definitely have a certain impact. The demand for chips in Nio's smart electric vehicles reaches hundreds each. There are hundreds of chips of various models. If any one goes wrong, it may have some impact.</p><p>In the first half of this year, we stopped working for 5 days due to chip restrictions. But in recent months, through the efforts of our supply chain team, it has basically been solved.</p><p>All-weather technology: Does it mean that the chip problem is basically solved?</p><p>Xia Qinghua: Everyone has to stare at it by the day. For example, in the past, most car manufacturers needed large central control screens, so they directly told suppliers that they would need 8,000 large screens next month, and manufacturers would just wait. As for the screen and the chips inside it, there is no need to worry about it at all, upstream suppliers will solve it.</p><p>In recent years, from Nio's perspective, we are not only looking for suppliers, but also looking for their upstream suppliers who make chips, screens, etc. to help coordinate the supply of these suppliers' upstream production lines.</p><p>If car companies want to Aquila蔚来超感系统、NIO Adam蔚来超算平台,还把旗舰车型蔚来ES8的白车身带到了展厅现场。\n据悉,这是国内首个独立研发量产的轻量化全铝车身,铝含量96.4%,采用航空级7003铝合金。下方底盘为双叉臂加多连杆结构,可承受5吨的超高承压及高达60个大气压。\n值得一提的是,蔚来还从超4200项专利里精选了561项专利发明,在展厅中打造了一面“蔚来专利墙”,覆盖整车制造与设计、三电(电池、电机、电控)技术、换电和充电技术、自动驾驶技术、数字座舱技术、车联网技术等全领域。\n蔚来汽车助理副总裁、上海区域总经理夏庆华向全天候科技表示,蔚来科技展厅从今年4月开始概念设计到最后展出,耗时约3个月,但由于展厅内产品均为已有内容,实际只花费了约一周的时间打造展馆。蔚来希望让更多人知道,除了服务之外,在前瞻科技领域也已经做了很多。\n不难看出,蔚来汽车想要通过此举对外展示科技实力,强调科技公司的概念。\n财报显示,2018年-2020年,蔚来汽车的研发投入分别为39.98亿元、44.29亿元、24.88亿元,占当年总营收的比重分别为80.75%、56.59%、15.30%。虽然研发投入占总营收比重逐年下降,但横向对比国内其它“造车新势力”,这部分投入依然处于行业前列。\n“成立到现在,蔚来投入的研发成本大概有400多亿元。接下来几年,每年也将保持50亿元以上的研发投入。”夏庆华向全天候科技透露。\n经历了2019年的黑暗时刻,蔚来似乎已经走出低谷,2020年营收和整车交付量均实现翻倍增长。得益于高毛利率车型ES8和EC6的交付量增加,公司毛利率也开始转正,亏损同比收窄幅度也超过50%。\n随之而来的是股价飞涨。2019年10月31日,蔚来汽车美股一度创历史新低,跌至1.19美元;而截至2021年7月16日收盘,股价已经涨至43.68美元,累计涨幅超2770%。\n从交付量上看,蔚来2020年全年交付量达43728台,同比增长达到112.6%。2021年一季度,蔚来汽车单季交付量首次突破2万大关,达到2.01万辆,同比增长422.7%,环比增长15.6%。按照夏庆华的说法,今年上半年交付量已经超过去年全年。\n趟过资本狂欢,跌入过低谷,再重新站上高岗的蔚来接下来将如何发展?还受制于哪些因素?带着这些问题,全天候科技与蔚来上海区域总经理夏庆华进行了对话,试图找到答案。\n以下为部分对话内容(经全天候科技编辑整理):\n打造未来概念店\n全天候科技:未来会将概念店推广到所有城市的线下门店吗?\n夏庆华:这是两个方向。\n蔚来Neo House是车主分享快乐、共同成长的空间,接下来我们会针对每个城市不同地点的Neo House做一些有特色的东西。\n比如,上海中信大厦是中国第一高楼、代表着高度,所以这个Neo House应该展现最前瞻的科技。而在上海南京西路兴业太古汇的Neo House,可能除了展示车和生活方式之外,会有时尚相关的元素。\n全天候科技:Neo House似乎没有一个集中打造的概念,而是同时输出了非常多的概念?\n夏庆华:是。因为这些都是蔚来体系一直在做的,无论是时尚相关,还是Neo
