glad that the recall doesn't affect the shares. But to me the recall is not an major issue.

The company crushed consensus deliveries estimates by a whopping 16%. However, the company's share price slumped after the blockbuster report due to a broad market selloff. Tesla will report fourth quarter revenues and EPS in a couple of weeks, and while many analysts raised their forecast, I believe that the company can still beat consensus figures. Moreover, the company should continue to guide higher and report better than anticipated numbers as we advance in 2022 and beyond. Therefore, the company's stock price will likely move higher into earnings and should move on to new ATHs after the report. Additionally, Tesla's stock price should push substantially higher over the next several years as the company advances into the future.

Tesla's Post-Deliveries Report Selloff

You would think that after such a blockbuster report, the company's stock price would fly higher and break out to new ATHs. However, that was not the case here. We saw an initial jump to $1,200, but a sharp reversal briefly knocked shares to below $1,000. It's important to note that this abrupt correction of around 20% essentially began when the Fed's hawkish minutes came over the wire. Therefore, the recent pullback in the stock was not Tesla related but resulted from a broader stock market decline. Now that market conditions appear to have stabilized, the company's stock should recover and proceed higher into Q4 earnings. Provided that the stock market continues to stabilize here, I expect Tesla's shares to break out to new ATHs following the upcoming earnings announcement.

Tesla's Blockbuster Numbers

Tesla delivered308,600 total vehiclesĀ last quarter, a whopping 72% increase overĀ last year. This report considerably topped consensus estimates for267,000 total vehicles. Tesla's stellar results indicate that demand for its cars remains highly robust. Moreover, the company's production capacity continues to expand, implying that Tesla's revenues should grow substantially in future years.Tesla's full-year numbers (936,172 total vehicles) illustrate how close the company came to selling one million cars last year. In total, the company's 2021 deliveries surpassed the previous year's results by a staggering 87%. In Q4, the company sold 11,750 Model S/X vehicles and 296,850 Model 3/Y cars.

Tesla Worldwide Deliveries 2016-2021We see the phenomenal YoY growth in Tesla deliveries here. Remarkably, Tesla's deliveries have surged by more than 1,100% over the last five years. Given the company's past performance and rapid anticipated growth, we should continue to see substantial delivery increases in future years. Therefore, we should continue to see higher levels in Tesla's stock price as the company advances.

What To Expect From Q4 Earnings

Last quarter, my EPS estimate wasĀ off by one cent. So, let's see if we can hit the bullseye this time. The company delivered 11,750 Model S/X vehicles, of which 17% were subject to lease accounting. Therefore, Tesla sold around 9,753 cars in its Model S/X segment last quarter. Tesla's Model S/X segment average selling price ("ASP") has increased recently. Thus, we will apply an ASP of $115K for the Model S/X segment. Using this ASP provides us with an approximate$1.12 billionĀ in revenues for Tesla's luxury upscale segment.

In the Model 3/Y segment, leasing accounted for about 5% of deliveries. Therefore, last quarter, Tesla sold roughly 282,000 vehicles in its Model 3/Y unit. Implementing an ASP of $50K implies that Tesla derived approximately$14.1 billionin revenues from the Model 3/Y segment last quarter. Once we approximate Tesla's revenues, gross margin, and expenses in other businesses, we can estimate what the company should deliver in revenues and EPS for the fourth quarter.

Tesla Q3 vs. Q4 EstimatesProvided Tesla's deliveries numbers and my ASP estimates, we arrived at $15.3 billion in revenues for Models S/3/X/Y sales alone. Once we added $450 million in leasing and $400 million in regulatory credit revenues, we came up to $16.15 billion in total automotive sales revenues. After we computed energy generation and storage plus Tesla's services and other segments, we arrived at anĀ $18 billion revenueĀ figure for Q4.

While my revenue estimate is notably higher than the current$16.31 billionĀ consensus number, my revenue figure is still lower than some higher-end calls that exceed $18.25 billion. If Tesla meets consensus figures, it will be a 52% YoY rise in revenues, and if the company meets my projections, we will see a 68% YoY surge in sales.

Revenue EstimatesWe see that many analysts expect robust double-digit revenue growth to continue in future quarters and years. However, many analyst figures are still relatively low to what the company will likely achieve. After all, we continuously see upward revisions in Tesla's revenue and EPS estimates, and this trend will likely continue as the company progresses.

EPS RevisionsWe see a wide range of EPS estimates for Q4, and in general, for Tesla. The mid-range is $2.28, while higher-end estimates go all the way up to around $3. My EPS estimate is $2.66, which is about 17% above consensus figures, representing a 233% YoY EPS increase.

The Bottom Line

Tesla has shown a tenacity for surpassing analyst estimates in recent quarters. The company has exceeded consensus expectations by an average of14% in its last four quarters, and this trend of outperformance will likely continue. Moreover, Tesla delivered a much better than anticipated production and deliveries report for the fourth quarter. The results suggest that Tesla should provide more substantial Q4 revenues than many analysts envision. The revenue increase should translate to a better than anticipated EPS result, reflecting positively on Tesla's stock price. I expect Tesla to post revenues of aroundĀ $18 billionĀ with an EPS of about $2.66. This dynamic should enable Tesla's stock price to move to new ATHs. Moreover, as Tesla grows revenues and expands EPS in future years, its stock price should appreciate considerably.

Here is what Tesla's financials could look like in future years:My higher EPS and share price appreciation estimates are more aggressive than my prior analyses. However, we see Tesla performing and delivering better than expected. Furthermore, I was overly conservative in my EPS projections in previous articles. Tesla could provide close to $30 in EPS in 2025, and even if we lower the company's forward P/E multiple substantially, we still arrive at a notably higher stock price than we see now. If Tesla continues delivering and surpassing analysts' expectations, I expect the company's stock price to be aroundĀ $2,500 in 2025.

Risks To Tesla

Risks exist for Tesla, and there are quite a few. While I estimate that the company can earn close to $30 per share in 2025, the company is very far from such figures right now. Therefore, there's the risk that Tesla will not illustrate the kind of earnings growth I envision. A slowdown in demand, increased competition, supply issues, decreased growth, and other variables are all risks we should consider before betting on Tesla to grow EPSĀ several-foldĀ through 2025. Serious concerns could cause Tesla's valuation to lose altitude, and the company's share price could even head in reverse if any serious issues should arise. Therefore, one should consider the risks carefully before committing any capital to a Tesla investment.

","source":"seekingalpha","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Tesla Could Be On The Path To $2,500 By 2025
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nTesla Could Be On The Path To $2,500 By 2025\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-01-13 11:20 GMT+8 Seeking Alpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
SummaryTesla recently announced blockbuster production and deliveries numbers for the fourth quarter. The company smashed consensus analysts' expectations by 16% and expanded delivery numbers by a ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{},"source_url":"https://seekingalpha.com/article/4479272-tesla-on-path-to-2500-by-2025","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/5a36db9d73b4222bc376d24ccc48c8a4","article_id":"1196267507","content_text":"SummaryTesla recently announced blockbuster production and deliveries numbers for the fourth quarter. The company smashed consensus analysts' expectations by 16% and expanded delivery numbers by a whopping 72% over last year.Tesla's earnings numbers should come out later this month, but most analysts' figures seem very low.I expect Tesla to surpass consensus figures by a notable margin, and the company's stock price should get a considerable boost. Moreover, I expect Tesla to continue beating consensus expectations in future quarters, and its stock price should continue trending higher in the coming years.Earlier this month, Tesla (TSLA) announced excellent vehicle production and deliveries numbers. Tesla could provide close to $30 in EPS in 2025, and even if we lower the company's forward P/E multiple substantially, we still arrive at a notably higher stock price than we see now. If Tesla continues delivering and surpassing analysts' expectations, I expect the company's stock price to be aroundĀ $2,500 in 2025.Risks To TeslaRisks exist for Tesla, and there are quite a few. Therefore, one should consider the risks carefully before committing any capital to a Tesla investment.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":461,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9002658070,"gmtCreate":1642000620231,"gmtModify":1676533670586,"author":{"id":"4098952740647570","authorId":"4098952740647570","name":"Colise","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4098952740647570","authorIdStr":"4098952740647570"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"š","listText":"š","text":"š","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9002658070","repostId":"1128718488","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":519,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9002653308,"gmtCreate":1642000427967,"gmtModify":1676533670543,"author":{"id":"4098952740647570","authorId":"4098952740647570","name":"Colise","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4098952740647570","authorIdStr":"4098952740647570"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ hope can smooth ride up to the end!!!

After all, we continuously see upward revisions in Tesla's revenue and EPS estimates, and this trend will likely continue as the company progresses.EPS RevisionsWe see a wide range of EPS estimates for Q4, and in general, for Tesla. The mid-range is $2.28, while higher-end estimates go all the way up to around $3. My EPS estimate is $2.66, which is about 17% above consensus figures, representing a 233% YoY EPS increase. The Bottom LineTesla has shown a tenacity for surpassing analyst estimates in recent quarters. If Tesla continues delivering and surpassing analysts' expectations, I expect the company's stock price to be aroundĀ $2,500 in 2025.Risks To TeslaRisks exist for Tesla, and there are quite a few. Therefore, one should consider the risks carefully before committing any capital to a Tesla investment.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":461,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9002658070,"gmtCreate":1642000620231,"gmtModify":1676533670586,"author":{"id":"4098952740647570","authorId":"4098952740647570","name":"Colise","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4098952740647570","authorIdStr":"4098952740647570"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"š","listText":"š","text":"š","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9002658070","repostId":"1128718488","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1128718488","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1641979511,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1128718488?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-01-12 17:25","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla Saw 52% Of 2021 Global Deliveries From Giga Shanghai Alone","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1128718488","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Tesla IncāsGigaShanghaiaccounted for more than half of the electric vehicle makerās global deliveries in 2021, cnEVpostreportedon Wednesday, citing the company. What Happened:Teslaās Giga Shanghai deli","content":"

Tesla IncāsĀ GigaĀ ShanghaiĀ accounted for more than half of the electric vehicle makerās global deliveries in 2021, cnEVpostreportedon Wednesday, citing the company.

What Happened:Teslaās Giga Shanghai delivered 484,130 units last year ā a three-fold jump over 2020 ā and contributed about 52% volume to the company's global deliveries.

TheĀ Elon Musk-led companyās global deliveries jumped 87% to 936,000 electric vehicles last year.

Giga Shanghai shipped out a total of 160,000 electric vehicles last year to meet export demand in over 10 countries, including those in Europe and Asia. However, rising inflation and Omicron worries saw it fall to $764 by 23 February.
\n
Then Russia began its invasion of Ukraine, and Tesla shares rocketed to $880 on 2 March as the implications for oil were laid bare. Now trading at $824 a share, the time could be ripe for a new bull run.
\n
What is happening to Teslaās share price?
\n
Right now, Brent Crude is at $129 a barrel. For context, the benchmark averaged $70 in 2021 and only $43 in 2016. On Monday, it struck a 14-year high of $139 as investors were spooked by the specter of a western oil and gas embargo against Russia.
\n
That specter is now a reality. US President Joe Biden claims the move targets āthe main artery of Russiaās economyā but admitted it will be ānot without cost at home.ā UK PM Boris Johnson concurs, saying the UKās plan to phase out Russian oil by the end of 2022 will āadd to the pressure weāre already seeing on Russia.ā
\n
Meanwhile, the European Commission plans to reduce EU demand for Russian gas by two-thirds, with the bloc currently relying on the alienated state for 40% of its gas and 30% of its oil. About 8% of US and 6% of UK oil comes from Russia.
\n
Russian Deputy PM Alexander Novak had previously threatened to āimpose an embargo on gas pumping through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipelineā and that ārejection of Russian oil would lead to catastrophic consequences for the global market,ā causing Brent to rise to $300 a barrel.
\n
Goldman Sachs is predicting Brent will average $135 this year, while JP Morgan is predicting a rise to $185 by summer. As analysts dissect the implications of the embargo, even higher price predictions could be hitting the front page soon.
\n
The implication for Teslaās share price is obvious. In the UK alone, petrol is already at 153p and diesel at 159p a liter. The cost of filling up a 55-liter family car has risen by Ā£2 in a week. If Brent rises to previously unimaginable highs, the transition to EVs could accelerate even faster than previously predicted.
\n
Berlin Gigafactory and semiconductor shortages
\n
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives believes a āmajor overhangā on Tesla has been removed after it secured delayed German approval to start production at its new Gigafactory in Berlin. With a $1,400 target, Ives ācannot stress the production importance of Giga Berlin to the overall success of Teslaās footprint in Europe and globally,ā as Tesla expects to eventually ramp up production at the plant to 500,000 cars a year.
\n
And Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry is targeting $1,500, believing the companyās production, shipping, and delivery momentum are currently āextremely solid,ā helping to set another deliveries record this quarter.
\n
Related: Shell Is Betting Big On Offshore Wind Following UK Ban On Russian Oil
\n
However, CEO Elon Musk warned that āin 2022, the supply chain will continue to be the fundamental limiter of output across all factories. So, the chip shortage, while better than last year, is still an issue.ā And this was before the Ukraine crisis sent the cost and availability of EV critical Palladium, Neon, and Nickel to record highs. Nickel alone is at a record-busting $100,000/tonne, forcing the London Metal Exchange to suspend trading in the commodity indefinitely.
\n
In addition, Musk is in yet more trouble with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. After agreeing that his Tesla-related tweets would be vetted by a lawyer before being posted in 2018, he is now arguing he was coerced into the deal, as āTesla was a less mature company and the SECās action stood to jeopardize the companyās financing.ā
\n
Musk wants to block an SEC subpoena for records of legal pre-approval of his November Twitter poll asking the public whether he should sell 10% of his stake in the company. Tesla argues Muskās tweet was ābehavior the SEC should encourage: a CEOās transparency.ā But another legal battle with the powerful US regulator is a distraction the company could do without.
\n
Politically, thereās better news. Biden called out Tesla as āour nationās largest electric vehicle manufacturerā in a speech about EV chargers last week. Previously, Musk has made no secret of his disapproval of Bidenās $7.5 billion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and had previously called the President a ādamp sock puppet.ā But the potential forthcoming oil crisis could now be focussing political minds on a speedier EV transition.
\n
Legacy competitors Ford and GM are still amid their transition to electric, while newer rivals Lucid and Rivian are struggling to ramp up production. But Tesla is aiming to double sales to 2 million cars this year, as the higher up-front cost of EVs becomes more palatable than the running costs of ICE cars.
\n
By City AM
\n
More Top Reads From Oilprice.com:
\n
\n
War-Related Oil Price Volatility Leaves Shale Acquisitions In Limbo
\n
Palladium Prices Are Soaring As Russian Sanctions Sting
\n
Volkswagen Chief: Ukraine War Could Be Worse Than COVID For Europe
\n
\n
Read this article on OilPrice.com

","source":"yahoofinance","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Higher Oil Prices Could Spark A Bull Run For Tesla
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nHigher Oil Prices Could Spark A Bull Run For Tesla\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-03-13 02:00 GMT+8 Oilprice.com\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Teslaās (NASDAQ: TSLA) share price began 2022 at a near-record $1,200 after record quarterly deliveries of its electric vehicles (EVs). In the UK alone, petrol is already at 153p and diesel at 159p a liter. The cost of filling up a 55-liter family car has risen by Ā£2 in a week. If Brent rises to previously unimaginable highs, the transition to EVs could accelerate even faster than previously predicted.\nBerlin Gigafactory and semiconductor shortages\nWedbush analyst Dan Ives believes a āmajor overhangā on Tesla has been removed after it secured delayed German approval to start production at its new Gigafactory in Berlin. With a $1,400 target, Ives ācannot stress the production importance of Giga Berlin to the overall success of Teslaās footprint in Europe and globally,ā as Tesla expects to eventually ramp up production at the plant to 500,000 cars a year.\nAnd Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry is targeting $1,500, believing the companyās production, shipping, and delivery momentum are currently āextremely solid,ā helping to set another deliveries record this quarter.\nRelated: Shell Is Betting Big On Offshore Wind Following UK Ban On Russian Oil\nHowever, CEO Elon Musk warned that āin 2022, the supply chain will continue to be the fundamental limiter of output across all factories. So, the chip shortage, while better than last year, is still an issue.ā And this was before the Ukraine crisis sent the cost and availability of EV critical Palladium, Neon, and Nickel to record highs. Nickel alone is at a record-busting $100,000/tonne, forcing the London Metal Exchange to suspend trading in the commodity indefinitely.\nIn addition, Musk is in yet more trouble with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. After agreeing that his Tesla-related tweets would be vetted by a lawyer before being posted in 2018, he is now arguing he was coerced into the deal, as āTesla was a less mature company and the SECās action stood to jeopardize the companyās financing.ā\nMusk wants to block an SEC subpoena for records of legal pre-approval of his November Twitter poll asking the public whether he should sell 10% of his stake in the company. Tesla argues Muskās tweet was ābehavior the SEC should encourage: a CEOās transparency.ā But another legal battle with the powerful US regulator is a distraction the company could do without.\nPolitically, thereās better news. Biden called out Tesla as āour nationās largest electric vehicle manufacturerā in a speech about EV chargers last week. Previously, Musk has made no secret of his disapproval of Bidenās $7.5 billion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and had previously called the President a ādamp sock puppet.ā But the potential forthcoming oil crisis could now be focussing political minds on a speedier EV transition.\nLegacy competitors Ford and GM are still amid their transition to electric, while newer rivals Lucid and Rivian are struggling to ramp up production. But Tesla is aiming to double sales to 2 million cars this year, as the higher up-front cost of EVs becomes more palatable than the running costs of ICE cars.\nBy City AM\nMore Top Reads From Oilprice.com:\n\nWar-Related Oil Price Volatility Leaves Shale Acquisitions In Limbo\nPalladium Prices Are Soaring As Russian Sanctions Sting\nVolkswagen Chief: Ukraine War Could Be Worse Than COVID For Europe\n\nRead this article on OilPrice.com","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":511,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
