Employers don't want to fire till they have to, especially this time around given the earlier worker shortage. Just about every other indicator has gotten weaker from manufacturing indexes, PMI to lending.I'm really worried about the economic situation. These data all point to a clear trend - the economy is slowing down. I fear that if this continues, the performance of TLT could be affected. After all, bond prices are closely related to interest rates, and interest rates tend to rise during a recession.
