Cathie Wood's Ark Invest expanded its exposure to cryptocurrency-related assets by purchasing $10.2 million worth of shares in crypto exchange Bullish on Monday through three of its ETFs.
According to Ark Invest's trading report, the Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK) acquired 191,195 shares of Bullish, while the Ark Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) bought 56,660 shares. The Ark Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF) also increased its holdings by 29,208 shares.
The investment came as Bullish shares declined on the New York Stock Exchange, closing 4.5% lower at $36.75 on Monday.
Bullish, a cryptocurrency exchange backed by billionaire tech investor Peter Thiel, is set to release its third-quarter earnings report on November 19. In the second quarter, the company reported adjusted revenue of $57 million, down from $67 million a year earlier. However, it posted a net profit of $108.3 million, compared to a net loss of $116.4 million in the same period last year.
Ark Invest has been actively adjusting its cryptocurrency-related holdings this year. Last Thursday, the firm purchased $7.28 million worth of Bullish shares, alongside $15.56 million in Circle stock and $8.86 million in BitMine stock.
