WTI Crude Futures Surge Over 5%; Iran Denies Bid for US Negotiations

Tiger Newspress07-29 19:51

Iran said it had not sought talks with the United States in the past two weeks, rejecting President Trump’s claim that Tehran wanted negotiations.

A senior Iranian official said Iran will not relinquish control of the Strait of Hormuz, calling it central to its war objectives; hours after those remarks Iran launched a new round of missile strikes on a US base in Jordan.

WTI crude oil futures climbed over 5%.
