Chip-linked names dominated the list of unusual movers. Intel gained 10.64% at $133.99 after fresh optimism around new chip partnerships, and Marvell Technology added 7.27% at $310.58. Memory giant Micron Technology climbed 8.70% at $1,133.99; Western Digital advanced 4.79% at $746.23. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing rose 6.94% at $462.12, while NVIDIA improved 2.95% at $210.69 and AMD lifted 4.86% at $537.37. Broadcom increased 4.70% at $411.35, and the ProShares UltraPro QQQ gained 6.87% at $82.87. On the downside, Lumentum declined 2.30% at $850.00 and Palantir Technologies fell 1.65% at $128.47.

Momentum concentrated in AI-related hardware and leveraged ETFs, underscoring ongoing enthusiasm for advanced chips. Moderate gains in mega-caps such as Apple up 0.70% at $298.01, Microsoft up 0.13% at $379.40, Alphabet up 1.48% at $367.46 and Meta Platforms up 1.70% at $577.22 provided additional ballast, while Tesla ticked 1.04% higher at $400.49. The outsized moves in semiconductor names helped offset pockets of weakness in select tech hardware suppliers, leaving broader benchmarks firmly in positive territory.
