TENCENT's innovative feature "Nearby Jobs," launched in October last year, has now surpassed 100,000 listed positions and facilitated employment intentions for over 200,000 individuals. Designed as a gig economy solution, the mini-program enables users to discover local job opportunities seamlessly.
Collaborating with regional human resources authorities, TENCENT has expanded the platform across multiple locations—from Jiangmen in Guangdong to Jiujiang in Jiangxi and Chaoyang district in Beijing—making "finding work near home" accessible to more people. The company emphasizes that partnered platforms are rigorously vetted with comprehensive verification mechanisms.
Beyond job matching, the service integrates WeChat Pay's "Micro Work Card" for efficient wage settlements via WeChat Balance or linked bank accounts.
Marking International Day of Persons with Disabilities, TENCENT announced nearly 3,000 barrier-free positions in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan, and Dalian. These roles—including software engineers, brand designers, data annotators, and cloud customer service agents—are officially certified by government and China Disabled Persons' Federation employment platforms, with detailed listings covering social benefits and accessibility provisions.
