Yangzijiang Maritime Development Ltd. announced on Oct, 26 2026 that it has entered into sales contracts for six newbuild vessels with a total gross sales value of 308 million Singapore dollars.
The transactions cover two medium-range tankers of about 49,500 DWT each scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2027, and four medium-range tankers of about 49,800 DWT each slated for delivery in 2027 and 2028.
These latest deals extend the company’s proactive monetisation strategy; during the past 10 months, it has signed contracts to sell 18 newbuild vessels for an aggregate 805 million Singapore dollars.
Yangzijiang Maritime said the vessel disposals are expected to contribute positively to its financial performance, subject to delivery schedules and accounting recognition.
As of Sep, 18 2026, the group’s newbuild portfolio stood at 98 vessels, comprising seven delivered units, 75 firm orders under construction and 16 optional newbuilds.
Executive Chairman and CEO Ren Yuanlin said the asset-monetisation approach enables the company to recycle capital into new vessel orders and pursue further growth opportunities.
