South Korea Joins International Statement Condemning Hormuz Closure -- WSJ

South Korea, a close U.S. ally, said it was joining seven countries, including the U.K. and Japan, in their statement condemning Iran's attacks in the Gulf that have blocked the Strait of Hormuz.

On Saturday, South Korea's foreign ministry said the country would cooperate with the international community for a normalization of oil trade through the narrow waterway. President Trump has called on countries including South Korea to get involved in efforts to unblock the strait, but countries including France have said they will participate only when the fighting calms down. South Korea hasn't committed to sending ships to the passage.
