路透上海4月16日 - 中国外交部长王毅周三同伊朗外长阿拉格齐通电话表示，当前局势来到战和转换的关键阶段，和平窗口正在打开；中国支持保持停火和谈判势头，这符合伊朗人民根本利益，也是地区国家和国际社会共同期盼。
外交部网站刊登新闻稿并引述王毅称，伊朗作为霍尔木兹海峡沿岸国家的主权安全和合法权益应得到尊重和维护，同时国际通行海峡的航行自由与安全也应得到保障，努力恢复海峡的正常过航是国际社会的一致呼声。
王毅指出，中国愿继续推动局势缓和，促进地区国家改善关系，为最终实现中东地区持久和平稳定发挥建设性作用。
特朗普政府周三对达成协议以结束与伊朗的战争表示乐观，同时警告称，如果伊朗继续对抗，将面临日益加剧的经济压力。特朗普总统表示，他认为自己于2月下旬与以色列共同发起的这场战争已接近尾声，尽管他宣布的海上封锁已生效，且霍尔木兹海峡的航运量仍远低于正常水平。（完）
