当地时间4月22日凌晨，伊朗方面发布消息称，伊朗并未请求延长停火。针对美国总统特朗普稍早前关于延长停火期限的声明，伊朗伊斯兰议会议长的顾问在社交平台表示，“特朗普提出的停火延期毫无意义。输家无权设定条件。持续的封锁与轰炸无异，必须以军事手段予以回应。况且，特朗普提议延期显然是为了争取时间发动突袭。现在正是伊朗掌握主动权的时候。”
