President Donald Trump on August 3 issued a full endorsement of Wilton Simpson, the Agriculture Commissioner of Florida, for his re-election campaign. In a post on X, Trump praised Simpson as a "strong and highly popular" leader who has served the state effectively.
Simpson, a fifth-generation Floridian, lifelong egg farmer, and former President of the Florida State Senate, has been Agriculture Commissioner during a career "loaded up with accolades and wins," Trump wrote. He highlighted Simpson's efforts to grow the economy, cut taxes and regulations, champion American energy dominance, promote Made in the U.S.A., secure the border, stop migrant crime, and protect the Second Amendment.
"Commissioner Wilton Simpson has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!" Trump concluded, emphasizing Simpson's record as a "true America First Patriot."
