President Donald Trump announced on August 3 his endorsement of Rick Brattin, a Republican state senator and former U.S. Marine, for the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri's 5th Congressional District. Trump described Brattin as a "MAGA Warrior" and praised his service in the Marine Corps and his work as a state senator.
"It is my Great Honor to endorse MAGA Warrior, Rick Brattin, who is running to represent the wonderful people of Missouri’s 5th Congressional District!" Trump wrote on X. He noted that Brattin is supported by "many of the greatest America First Patriots in Missouri," including Governor Mike Kehoe and Congressmen Jason Smith, Bob Onder, and Eric Burlison.
Trump highlighted Brattin's record on key issues, including economic growth, tax cuts, energy independence, border security, and the Second Amendment. "Rick has served his State and Nation with great distinction, and will bring that same Fighting Spirit to the U.S. Congress," Trump said. He added that Brattin "has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Representative from Missouri’s 5th Congressional District – RICK WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
