Trump: Approves $4.5M for West Virginia storm recovery

President Donald Trump announced on August 3 that he has approved $4.5 million in federal aid for West Virginia to recover from severe storms, winds, tornadoes, flooding, landslides, and mudslides. The President said he spoke with Governor Patrick Morrisey, whom he praised as "GREAT," and confirmed the funding for the state he loves and won three times by record-setting votes.

"I just spoke with Patrick Morrisey, the GREAT Governor of West Virginia, a State I love and WON BIG, with Record Setting Votes, three times, and told him I am approving 4.5 Million Dollars for severe storms, winds, tornadoes, flooding, landslides, and mudslides they experienced, and are still recovering from," Trump stated on X.

The President noted that West Virginia is strongly represented by Governor Morrisey, Senators Jim Justice and Shelley Moore Capito, and Representatives Riley Moore and Carol Miller. The funding aims to support ongoing recovery efforts in the state.
