Trump: US cancels attack on Iran after deal request

Trump's Truth Social latest posts08-02 10:25

President Donald Trump announced on August 2 that the United States has agreed to cancel a planned military strike against the Islamic Republic of Iran, following a request from Iran and other Middle Eastern countries. Trump stated that a deal framework has been agreed upon, including the "Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT" and an end to Iran's nuclear threat.

In a post on X, Trump said the U.S. is "locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran, at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II." However, he added that he agreed to cancel the attack "for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL." Trump also noted that Israel joins him in this commitment.

The President urged all parties to "get to work" and finalize the deal, emphasizing that the cancellation depends on swift progress. The announcement marks a significant shift in U.S.-Iran tensions, with Trump framing the decision as a move toward global stability.

Utter bull-shit. Trump is the one who is more desperate for this conflict to end. The US are tunning out of resources to sustain the war. The irony is the only thing this reckless war has done is to embolden Iran. They now know the pain points for the US and the world.

Also, Trump’s latest post came after Iran threatened to expand the blocks. So who blinked? Really.
