多方释放外交信号，中东局势缓和预期升温，国际油价回落。
据新华社，卡塔尔外交部发言人安萨里4日表示，有关各方正继续努力推动中东地区局势降温，目前虽尚未达成协议，但重要的是能重返外交轨道。
据卡塔尔半岛电视台4日报道，安萨里当天在多哈举行的新闻发布会上说，当前重点是缓和局势、重新开放霍尔木兹海峡以及推动外交进程。“我们目前最关心的是恢复谈判，要实现这一目标必须确保停火并重新开放霍尔木兹海峡。”
他称，各方已就可能达成的协议“拟定相关措辞”，协议草案也已在相关方之间传阅。不过，卡塔尔方面同时强调，目前尚无美伊直接对话的既定安排，无法就协议达成给出具体时间表，目前也不能认为美伊协议已经达成。
随后，据新华社援引美国媒体4日报道，美国财政部长贝森特称，美国可能明日与伊朗达成协议以开放霍尔木兹海峡。
此后，据央视新闻，当地时间8月4日，美国国务卿鲁比奥表示，与伊朗就重新开放霍尔木兹海峡进行的谈判“已经取得进展”，但协议尚未最终敲定，希望协议“很快能够达成”。
随着市场对外交突破的预期进一步升温，国际油价跌幅扩大。截至发稿，WTI原油跌超4.4元，至76.77美元/桶。
