President Donald Trump on September 18 took to social media platform X to officially endorse Congresswoman Jen Kiggans for re-election, calling her a “tremendous advocate” for Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District. Trump highlighted Kiggans’ background as a former Navy helicopter pilot, stating that she knows how to defend the country, support the military and veterans, and ensure “PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH.”
In his post, Trump listed Kiggans’ priorities in Congress: securing the border, growing the economy, restoring American energy independence, and protecting the Second Amendment, which he described as “always under siege.” He declared that Kiggans has his “Complete and Total Endorsement” and added, “SHE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!”
The endorsement underscores Kiggans’ standing within the Republican Party. She represents Virginia’s 2nd District, which includes Virginia Beach and surrounding areas with a large military population. Her campaign office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
