President Donald Trump announced on social media platform X on September 24 that Jim Copenhaver, a true American Patriot, has passed away, calling it a "tremendous loss."
In his post, Trump recounted the incident in Butler, Pennsylvania, more than two years ago, when a crazed gunman attempted to stifle the America First Movement. Instead, Copenhaver and many other wonderful Patriots stood united in defense of shared values of Freedom, Liberty, and Justice. After being wounded while protecting his family, Copenhaver showed tremendous bravery, courageously continuing to "FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT," and maintaining a positive spirit despite unimaginable hardships. Trump wrote: "His indelible legacy of love and devotion will forever endure."
Trump extended his heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Copenhaver family, especially his wife Marianne. Jim Copenhaver was among those wounded in the July 13, 2022 shooting in Butler, which drew widespread attention.
