Trump: Urges Arkansas voters to pressure Cotton on daylight saving bill

Trump's Truth Social latest posts10-03

President Donald Trump on October 3 posted on X, urging Arkansas voters to contact Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) to stop blocking the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make daylight saving time permanent and eliminate the biannual clock change.

"Everybody in Arkansas, Tom Cotton, a friend of mine, is holding up a very important Bill," Trump wrote. He acknowledged Cotton as a friend but criticized him for single-handedly stalling the legislation. "It should pass overwhelmingly, in a Bipartisan fashion. So, everyone in Arkansas... tell Tom to, GET IT DONE!"

The President noted the bill passed the House 308-117 and argued that afternoon daylight benefits the PGA TOUR, golfers, tennis players, hunters, and farmers. He provided Cotton's cell number (479-453-0533) and urged voters to call. "Have the Senate vote, NOW!" Trump concluded.
