Trump: Sending $100 checks to 20M seniors for Medicare

Trump's Truth Social latest posts10-03

President Donald Trump announced on social media platform X on October 3 that his administration will immediately begin sending checks of nearly $100 to over 20 million seniors to help cover their Medicare Part B premiums. The funds will come from the Medicare Improvement Fund, which Trump described as a pointless “Slush Fund” that has only been used by Democrats in Congress to pay for waste, fraud, and abuse for their special interest friends, driving up healthcare costs.

Trump said the initiative is part of his effort to substantially lower costs for seniors, adding that he is “finally using this Fund, along with my Most Favored Nations Deals” to protect Medicare and Social Security. He also noted this is separate from the refund checks being sent to one million Americans overcharged for Affordable Care Act plans under Joe Biden. Additionally, Trump stated that the highly popular $5,000 Trump Dividend will be distributed to every U.S. citizen if the Republicans win the Midterm Elections.
