President Donald Trump on October 4 posted on social media platform X, criticizing Fox News’s Fox & Friends (Sunday) for not covering his recent rallies in Ohio, Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma. He said the rallies were sold out and incredibly enthusiastic, and warned that viewers would stop watching Fox if the network continued to ignore his events.
Trump wrote: “Sad to see that Fox & Friends (Sunday) is not covering our packed house and incredibly enthusiastic (beyond!) Rally that took place in Ohio last night, or the ones in Alabama, Texas, or Oklahoma over the past two days. These Election Rallies were representative of what is really happening with our great Republican Party. They were all sold out, with thousands of people trying to get in, and are absolutely phenomenal, better than ever!”
He accused Fox News of having an “old undercurrent” and noted that other networks were reporting the rallies positively. Trump singled out host Jessica Tarlov, saying “We don’t like stupid Jessica Tarlov, and all of the others, that are forced down MAGA’S throats.” He also referenced Maria Bartiromo’s firing for complaining about not being allowed to cover “TRUMP,” predicting she would “end up bigger and better than ever.”
Trump concluded with a warning: “Cover our ‘happenings,’ and not the opposition to Greatness for America, or FoxNews will soon have the ratings of FAKE NEWS CNN or MSNOW (MSDNC). Remember, Fox tried this act once before, and almost went out of business (and always right before an election!). That can happen again!”
