President Donald J. Trump said that the stock market had “one of the Worst Days in History” based on the results of the election, adding in his post that “Your 401(k)s have, therefore, dropped.”
He described the reaction as “Such a sad thing to watch!” and wrote, “It took so much work to get us to a level that no one has ever seen before, and then this.”
In a message on X, Trump blamed “Dumocrats” rather than Republicans: “Remember, it wasn’t Republicans, it was Dumocrats.” He urged supporters not to fear and promised a rebound, writing, “we will soon, one way or the other, be BIGGER AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE.” He closed with “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” and signed the post “President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
The post links market declines to the election outcome and focuses on retirement accounts, asserting losses for 401(k) plans and emphasizing a partisan contrast between Republicans and “Dumocrats.” Source: X
