Instead of buying shares that could soon split, investors may want to consider buying lower-priced stocks such as <b>Twilio</b>, <b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/HUBS\">HubSpot</a></b>, and <b>Palantir Technologies</b> while they are on sale.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/96eff402f81e36b9aef560c6b1935d0f\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"467\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>Image source: Getty Images</span></p><h2>Twilio: An incredible growth opportunity at a reasonable price</h2><p><b>Brian Withers (Twilio): </b>Twilio isn&#39;t a household name, but you may have experienced its products and not even known it. It could have been an automated call reminding you of a medical appointment or a text updating you on your e-commerce shipment. Those communications were likely created by Twilio&#39;s platform. As more companies look to engage with their customers digitally, you would think its stock would be an investor&#39;s dream. But over the last three years, it&#39;s been more of a nightmare.</p><p>Since April 2019 the stock is down a little over 10%. But the 36-month ride shareholders took was a wild <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a>. The stock took off during the coronavirus pandemic and peaked in January 2021 at <i>triple</i> the April 2019 price. Ever since, the stock has been on a downward slide to where it is today. The stock&#39;s high price was likely overly optimistic, but today, I think the stock is a bargain at 2019 prices. The $650 million full-year revenue was a torrid 63% year-over-year gain, but it was losing money. Given its strong base of more than 60,000 customers and a massive $748 million in cash and investments, it had all the right ingredients to fund growth in the years ahead -- and that&#39;s exactly what happened.</p><p>In February, it published its 2021 results. The top line is now an amazing $2.84 billion and it&#39;s still growing at a torrid pace. The company has been acquisitive the past few years, so the 61% year-over-year growth includes some revenue from acquisitions. Stripping out the impact of those acquisitions, organic top-line growth for 2021 is impressive at 42% year over year. Naysayers will point to the company&#39;s increasing costs and declining operating income. This is something to watch, but as it integrates two recent large acquisitions, a $3.2 billion for Segment in November 2020 and $850 million for Zipwhip in July 2021, this should improve. Its cash position has significantly improved and its solid customer base has almost quadrupled. I&#39;d say the company is in a much better position than it was three years ago.</p><p>Even with the impressive track record, growth investors are always looking to what&#39;s ahead. The good news here is that management shared its outlook for solid future growth with investors. In its most recent earnings release, the company reiterated that it can grow at an organic rate of 30%-plus year over year for the next three years. That&#39;s some impressive growth for a company currently valued at a 7.5 price-to-sales ratio.</p><p>With the stock trading around $120, it&#39;s unlikely management will execute a stock split anytime soon. But investors don&#39;t need that to profit. With 30%-plus revenue growth expected for the next few years and the opportunity for improved costs, the company is poised to produce great returns for shareholders. You would be wise to pick up a few shares of this growth stock today. In five or more years, you&#39;ll probably be glad you did.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3ba941730c26b7c6a84daaee89a156b1\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>Image source: Getty Images</span></p><h2>HubSpot: Marketing and so much more</h2><p><b>Danny Vena (HubSpot):</b> It wasn&#39;t very long ago that HubSpot was the disruptive upstart in the inbound marketing industry. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) company helped popularize the concept of meeting customers where they live rather than chasing them down with traditional marketing. Since those early days, however, HubSpot has evolved into much more, offering an expanding suite of customer relationship management (CRM) tools, rivaling some of the biggest companies in the space.</p><p>That&#39;s not to suggest that HubSpot has lost touch with its roots. The company is still a leader in helping customers connect with businesses through a combination of brand awareness, targeting social media, marketing automation, content marketing, blogs, search engine optimization, and events. By helping potential customers find their way to these businesses naturally, rather than beating them into submission, the company has carved out a lucrative niche for itself -- but that&#39;s just the beginning.</p><p>HubSpot has followed in the footsteps of CRM titan <b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/CRM\">Salesforce</a>.com</b> by rapidly expanding its suite of services, adding sales, service support, content management, and operations &#34;hubs&#34; to its flagship inbound marketing. Just last year, HubSpot integrated an end-to-end, business-to-business (B2B) digital payment solution directly into its platform, opening an entirely new avenue of growth.</p><p>The company has continued to deliver solid growth, even as many technology companies have struggled. During the fourth quarter, HubSpot maintained its full-year revenue growth at 47%, while subscription revenue edged higher to 48%. At the same time, its adjusted operating income climbed 57%.</p><p>Its customer metrics are equally robust. HubSpot grew its total customer base to more than 135,000, up 30% year over year, while the average subscription revenue per customer climbed 11%. This is just a drop in the bucket to its target market of more than 3 million small to medium-sized businesses with a website.</p><p>Perhaps more importantly, HubSpot has consistently added to its total addressable market, which clocks in at roughly $87 billion, according to recent estimates. With 2021 revenue of $1.3 billion, the company currently serves about 1.5% of its market opportunity, leaving a long runway for growth ahead.</p><p>Given the pace at which the company is evolving and the large and growing market opportunity, HubSpot is a top growth stock to buy right now.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/c4e4e0c9151ecf139b34372ef27786e1\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"393\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>Image source: Getty Images</span></p><h2>Palantir: This decision-making company deserves closer analysis</h2><p><b>Will Healy</b> <b>(Palantir): </b>Palantir may look like just another analysis tool at first glance, but it offers a key competitive advantage not found in other data tools -- its ability to recommend decisions. That separates it from a <b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SNOW\">Snowflake</a></b>, which stores data, or an <b>Alteryx</b>, which arranges data.</p><p>Palantir&#39;s capabilities emanate from its Apollo operating system that powers both of its main products. Its original product, Gotham, makes decisions in national defense and law enforcement. It received a lot of notoriety for its role in finding Osama bin Laden. As geopolitical tensions rise across the world, such capabilities could become even more critical.</p><p>Later, the company introduced Foundry. Palantir designed Foundry for use in the marketplace, applying Apollo&#39;s decision-making capabilities to the business realm. This could become the company&#39;s growth driver over time as the number of businesses far outpaces the number of governments that would pay for Gotham.</p><p>Additionally, it just unveiled products that will enhance software deployment and workability in products ranging from hybrid clouds to data centers to drones and satellites. This should enhance net dollar retention, the amount of recurring revenue it can retain from customers. In 2021, net dollar retention came in at 131%, meaning the average customer spent 31% more with Palantir compared with the prior year.</p><p>Apollo&#39;s applications made it possible for 2021 revenue to grow to more than $1.5 billion, 41% higher than 2020 levels. Moreover, it reduced operating costs in 2020, allowing losses to fall to $520 million, down from nearly $1.2 billion in 2020. Additionally, the company projects annual revenue growth of at least 30% per year through 2025. If it meets that goal, the profit picture should improve.</p><p>Despite improvements, shareholders have experienced a rough ride over the last 15 months. The stock has dropped by approximately 75% from its record high in January 2021. Still, its price-to-sales (P/S) ratio has fallen to 14, down from over 40 in early 2021. It could have been an automated call reminding you of a medical appointment or a text updating you on your e-commerce shipment. Those communications were likely created by Twilio's platform. As more companies look to engage with their customers digitally, you would think its stock would be an investor's dream. But over the last three years, it's been more of a nightmare.Since April 2019 the stock is down a little over 10%. But the 36-month ride shareholders took was a wild one. The stock took off during the coronavirus pandemic and peaked in January 2021 at triple the April 2019 price. Ever since, the stock has been on a downward slide to where it is today. The stock's high price was likely overly optimistic, but today, I think the stock is a bargain at 2019 prices. The $650 million full-year revenue was a torrid 63% year-over-year gain, but it was losing money. Given its strong base of more than 60,000 customers and a massive $748 million in cash and investments, it had all the right ingredients to fund growth in the years ahead -- and that's exactly what happened.In February, it published its 2021 results. The top line is now an amazing $2.84 billion and it's still growing at a torrid pace. The company has been acquisitive the past few years, so the 61% year-over-year growth includes some revenue from acquisitions. Stripping out the impact of those acquisitions, organic top-line growth for 2021 is impressive at 42% year over year. Naysayers will point to the company's increasing costs and declining operating income. This is something to watch, but as it integrates two recent large acquisitions, a $3.2 billion for Segment in November 2020 and $850 million for Zipwhip in July 2021, this should improve. Its cash position has significantly improved and its solid customer base has almost quadrupled. I'd say the company is in a much better position than it was three years ago.Even with the impressive track record, growth investors are always looking to what's ahead. The good news here is that management shared its outlook for solid future growth with investors. In its most recent earnings release, the company reiterated that it can grow at an organic rate of 30%-plus year over year for the next three years. That's some impressive growth for a company currently valued at a 7.5 price-to-sales ratio.With the stock trading around $120, it's unlikely management will execute a stock split anytime soon. But investors don't need that to profit. With 30%-plus revenue growth expected for the next few years and the opportunity for improved costs, the company is poised to produce great returns for shareholders. You would be wise to pick up a few shares of this growth stock today. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) company helped popularize the concept of meeting customers where they live rather than chasing them down with traditional marketing. Since those early days, however, HubSpot has evolved into much more, offering an expanding suite of customer relationship management (CRM) tools, rivaling some of the biggest companies in the space.That's not to suggest that HubSpot has lost touch with its roots. The company is still a leader in helping customers connect with businesses through a combination of brand awareness, targeting social media, marketing automation, content marketing, blogs, search engine optimization, and events. By helping potential customers find their way to these businesses naturally, rather than beating them into submission, the company has carved out a lucrative niche for itself -- but that's just the beginning.HubSpot has followed in the footsteps of CRM titan Salesforce.com by rapidly expanding its suite of services, adding sales, service support, content management, and operations \"hubs\" to its flagship inbound marketing. Just last year, HubSpot integrated an end-to-end, business-to-business (B2B) digital payment solution directly into its platform, opening an entirely new avenue of growth.The company has continued to deliver solid growth, even as many technology companies have struggled. During the fourth quarter, HubSpot maintained its full-year revenue growth at 47%, while subscription revenue edged higher to 48%. At the same time, its adjusted operating income climbed 57%.Its customer metrics are equally robust. HubSpot grew its total customer base to more than 135,000, up 30% year over year, while the average subscription revenue per customer climbed 11%. This is just a drop in the bucket to its target market of more than 3 million small to medium-sized businesses with a website.Perhaps more importantly, HubSpot has consistently added to its total addressable market, which clocks in at roughly $87 billion, according to recent estimates. That separates it from a Snowflake, which stores data, or an Alteryx, which arranges data.Palantir's capabilities emanate from its Apollo operating system that powers both of its main products. Its original product, Gotham, makes decisions in national defense and law enforcement. It received a lot of notoriety for its role in finding Osama bin Laden. As geopolitical tensions rise across the world, such capabilities could become even more critical.Later, the company introduced Foundry. Palantir designed Foundry for use in the marketplace, applying Apollo's decision-making capabilities to the business realm. This could become the company's growth driver over time as the number of businesses far outpaces the number of governments that would pay for Gotham.Additionally, it just unveiled products that will enhance software deployment and workability in products ranging from hybrid clouds to data centers to drones and satellites. This should enhance net dollar retention, the amount of recurring revenue it can retain from customers. In 2021, net dollar retention came in at 131%, meaning the average customer spent 31% more with Palantir compared with the prior year.Apollo's applications made it possible for 2021 revenue to grow to more than $1.5 billion, 41% higher than 2020 levels. Moreover, it reduced operating costs in 2020, allowing losses to fall to $520 million, down from nearly $1.2 billion in 2020. Additionally, the company projects annual revenue growth of at least 30% per year through 2025. If it meets that goal, the profit picture should improve.Despite improvements, shareholders have experienced a rough ride over the last 15 months. The stock has dropped by approximately 75% from its record high in January 2021. Still, its price-to-sales (P/S) ratio has fallen to 14, down from over 40 in early 2021. Starting in the fall of 2021, many of the top growth and technology stocks have fallen in price by 10 to 30% or more as interest rates are expected to rise, supply chain issues have impacted semiconductor production, and inflation has driven up prices. The price of Apple, Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock rose to a high of nearly $183 before dropping back down to the current price of $161.79 as of market close on 4/22/22.</p><p>With the company due to report earnings after the market close on Wednesday, April 27, investors will be looking for clues to forward guidance in light of the current bearish market environment. It is my opinion that Apple will once again surprise with an earnings beat, and at the same time are likely to announce a new product, such as an iCar (which they filed a patent on), or the AR/VR headset that is rumored to be on the horizon, that will once again shake up the marketplace and raise the stock to a new level.</p><p>Considering the fundamental, technical, and macroeconomic factors, as well as investor sentiment and favorable shareholder actions, all indications are that Apple is fairly priced today but still offers a good value for the long-term investor. I rate Apple a Buy ahead of earnings, especially if the price drops below $160 in the next few days ahead of the report. In this article I want to explain my reasoning by considering each of the factors.</p><p><b>Fundamentally Sound</b></p><p>The current EV/EBITDA ratio is near a recent low based on the past 3 years history, currently at 19.97. The last time it was much lower than that was in summer of 2020 as the stock was recovering from the March 2020 low.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/115a5774467bf3b71d1f9f1d7f592b0f\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"236\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>AAPL 3-yr EV/EBITDA ratio (Seeking Alpha)</span></p><p>The forward P/E sits at about 26, which is slightly above the 5-year average, and slightly above the sector median. But Apple gets an A+ in Profitability based on SA quant factors, so the quality of earnings justifies the higher valuation. Apple is a cash flow machine with a net income margin of 26.5% and levered FCF margin of 21%. Operating cash flow growth is not too shabby either, at 26% YOY.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8883d2c7a307f223544fedb9ae128b31\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"427\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>Profitability grades (Seeking Alpha)</span></p><p>Profitability grades (Seeking Alpha)Revenue growth YOY is at 28.6% and EBITDA growth YOY sits at a whopping 50.5%. The trend in consensus EPS revisions has been moving upward with 26 up revisions in the past 3 months and only 1 down revision along with 24 up revenue revisions and 1 down.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38b4f7a69a160f1011888f5077728006\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"222\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>Consensus EPS Revisions (Seeking Alpha)</span></p><p>With about $64B in cash and an enterprise value of over $2.6T, Apple is financially sound and fundamentally strong. Company management under Tim Cook has been excellent at capital allocation and in capitalizing on additional service revenues above and beyond the core product lines of iPhones, wearables, Macs, iPads, and other hardware devices. Winning an Oscar for best picture on Apple TV+ did not hurt their business either.</p><p>In January, the company reported an all-time revenue record reaching $123.9B for the FY22 first quarter, up 11% YOY. All-time highs were reached for iPhone, Mac, Wearables, and Services revenues in that quarter.</p><p><b>Technically Speaking</b></p><p>The chart for Apple has shown some resistance recently as the stock attempts to reach new highs. AAPL stock is currently trading below the 6-month moving average and is starting to look oversold. The Money Flow index and RSI both indicate that the stock is becoming somewhat oversold.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ccb51716a162d62f2cab44a7bb402e7f\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"472\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>AAPL technical chart (TD Ameritrade)</span></p><p>Over the past 6 months AAPL stock has traded in a similar manner to the overall market and the technology sector (using XLK as a benchmark) but offering a higher return. The stock is finding support at the $150 level and could drop as low as that level before turning upward again if the earnings report is favorable, as I expect it will be.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/648f1a2d001c9cb72b6ceb8121641911\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"232\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>AAPL Stock chart (Seeking Alpha)</span></p><p>What About Rising Rates, Supply Chain Issues, and Inflation?</p><p>There is some speculation that rising interest rates could negatively impact Apple’s forward earnings. That fear is partly responsible for the recent selloff in technology stocks, including Apple. However, the opposite may actually be true based on past events. In fact, according to this report, Apple is <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a> of the best performing stocks when interest rates rise.</p><blockquote>Nine stocks in the S&amp;P 500 — including information-technology giants like Advanced Micro Devices (<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AMD\">AMD</a>) and Apple as well as health care firm Bio-Techne (TECH) — have powered higher when interest rates entered periods of multiple Fed rate hikes since 1990, says an Investor&#39;s Business Daily analysis of data from LPL Financial and S&amp;P Global Market Intelligence.</blockquote><p>Concerns about supply chain issues are valid and could impact Mac deliveries as well as iPhone demand as China endures further lockdowns related to Covid cases on the rise in Shanghai and other cities where Apple has a large manufacturing presence such as Zhengzhou, although one report states that manufacturing there is unaffected. Inflationary pressures due to rising commodity prices and reduced consumer demand due to concerns about the Ukraine war and impacts to the global economy may be reflected in the upcoming earnings report.</p><p>However, based on recent upward consensus earnings revisions and reports of growing consumer demand, I think that it is unlikely that a reduction in demand will be reflected in the current quarter’s earnings report. The price of Apple, Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock rose to a high of nearly $183 before dropping back down to the current price of $161.79 as of market close on 4/22/22.With the company due to report earnings after the market close on Wednesday, April 27, investors will be looking for clues to forward guidance in light of the current bearish market environment. It is my opinion that Apple will once again surprise with an earnings beat, and at the same time are likely to announce a new product, such as an iCar (which they filed a patent on), or the AR/VR headset that is rumored to be on the horizon, that will once again shake up the marketplace and raise the stock to a new level.Considering the fundamental, technical, and macroeconomic factors, as well as investor sentiment and favorable shareholder actions, all indications are that Apple is fairly priced today but still offers a good value for the long-term investor. I rate Apple a Buy ahead of earnings, especially if the price drops below $160 in the next few days ahead of the report. In this article I want to explain my reasoning by considering each of the factors.Fundamentally SoundThe current EV/EBITDA ratio is near a recent low based on the past 3 years history, currently at 19.97. The last time it was much lower than that was in summer of 2020 as the stock was recovering from the March 2020 low.AAPL 3-yr EV/EBITDA ratio (Seeking Alpha)The forward P/E sits at about 26, which is slightly above the 5-year average, and slightly above the sector median. But Apple gets an A+ in Profitability based on SA quant factors, so the quality of earnings justifies the higher valuation. Apple is a cash flow machine with a net income margin of 26.5% and levered FCF margin of 21%. Operating cash flow growth is not too shabby either, at 26% YOY.Profitability grades (Seeking Alpha)Profitability grades (Seeking Alpha)Revenue growth YOY is at 28.6% and EBITDA growth YOY sits at a whopping 50.5%. The trend in consensus EPS revisions has been moving upward with 26 up revisions in the past 3 months and only 1 down revision along with 24 up revenue revisions and 1 down.Consensus EPS Revisions (Seeking Alpha)With about $64B in cash and an enterprise value of over $2.6T, Apple is financially sound and fundamentally strong. Company management under Tim Cook has been excellent at capital allocation and in capitalizing on additional service revenues above and beyond the core product lines of iPhones, wearables, Macs, iPads, and other hardware devices. Winning an Oscar for best picture on Apple TV+ did not hurt their business either.In January, the company reported an all-time revenue record reaching $123.9B for the FY22 first quarter, up 11% YOY. All-time highs were reached for iPhone, Mac, Wearables, and Services revenues in that quarter.Technically SpeakingThe chart for Apple has shown some resistance recently as the stock attempts to reach new highs. AAPL stock is currently trading below the 6-month moving average and is starting to look oversold. The Money Flow index and RSI both indicate that the stock is becoming somewhat oversold.AAPL technical chart (TD Ameritrade)Over the past 6 months AAPL stock has traded in a similar manner to the overall market and the technology sector (using XLK as a benchmark) but offering a higher return. The stock is finding support at the $150 level and could drop as low as that level before turning upward again if the earnings report is favorable, as I expect it will be.AAPL Stock chart (Seeking Alpha)What About Rising Rates, Supply Chain Issues, and Inflation?There is some speculation that rising interest rates could negatively impact Apple’s forward earnings. That fear is partly responsible for the recent selloff in technology stocks, including Apple. However, the opposite may actually be true based on past events. In fact, according to this report, Apple is one of the best performing stocks when interest rates rise.Nine stocks in the S&P 500 — including information-technology giants like Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Apple as well as health care firm Bio-Techne (TECH) — have powered higher when interest rates entered periods of multiple Fed rate hikes since 1990, says an Investor's Business Daily analysis of data from LPL Financial and S&P Global Market Intelligence.Concerns about supply chain issues are valid and could impact Mac deliveries as well as iPhone demand as China endures further lockdowns related to Covid cases on the rise in Shanghai and other cities where Apple has a large manufacturing presence such as Zhengzhou, although one report states that manufacturing there is unaffected. Over the past 12 months, the company’s share price has declined 84%.</p><p>What Happened With MULN Stock</p><p>Mullen Automotive said that BIC willperform multiple testson its solid-state polymer battery, including a constant current discharge test used to determine the effective capacity of the battery; a peak power test that’s used to determine the sustained discharge power capability of a battery; and a constant power discharge test that helps to define the voltage versus power behavior of a battery. Taken together, the tests should help to determine the viability of Mullen Automotive’s solid-state batteries.</p><p>“We have begun working with the Battery Innovation Center located in Indiana to retest and certify our solid-state battery,” said David Michery, chief executive and chairman of Mullen Automotive, in the news release. “BIC is a well-respected battery laboratory, and we look forward to publishing their results related to cell testing coming up in May.”</p><p>Why It Matters</p><p>News of the solid-state battery tests is the latest in a string of positive announcements from Mullen Automotive. A week ago, the company said that it has started construction on its long-gestating battery plant. In a news release, the company said it has begun building electric vehicle battery packs to be used in its upcoming vehicles that include an electric cargo van, crossover vehicle and sportscar. Mullen says it is developing its own batteries to lessen its reliance on third-party suppliers and reduce risks associated with shortages that have hobbled automakers over the last year.</p><p>Additionally, MULN stock jumped 7% in a single trading day recently after the company announced that it has hired a former <b>Tesla</b>(NASDAQ:<b><u>TSLA</u></b>) executive in akey leadership position. John Taylor joined Mullen in the role of senior vice president of global manufacturing and strategic planning.
