At the time, both tech giants were worth about $1.2 trillion. But today Amazon is still worth $1.2 trillion, while Apple's market cap has roughly doubled to $2.4 trillion. Let's see why Apple pulled so far ahead of Amazon -- and if Amazon can catch up again by 2025.Why did Amazon pull ahead of Apple? In early 2020, Amazon seemed like a more appealing investment than Apple. Amazon's e-commerce and cloud businesses were both well-poised to grow throughout the pandemic as brick-and-mortar stores shut down, consumers stayed at home, and people accessed more cloud-based services and apps.In 2020, Amazon's revenue rose 38% to $386.1 billion, its net income increased 84% to $21.3 billion (even as it racked up billions of dollars in COVID-related expenses), and its earnings per share (EPS) grew 82%. The bullish thesis was simple: Amazon's e-commerce business would continue to expand as it locked in more shoppers with Prime, while the growth of its higher-margin Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform would subsidize the growth of its lower-margin retail businesses.Image source: Amazon. At the time, Apple was still selling 4G iPhones as new 5G Android devices hit the market. It was also losing ground in China to popular domestic smartphone brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo. Its own first family of 5G devices, the iPhone 12, wouldn't arrive until late 2020. The trade war also threatened to disrupt its production capabilities in China. As a result, Apple's revenue only grew 6% to $274.5 billion in fiscal 2020 (which ended in September of that calendar year). Its net income rose 4% to $57.4 billion, while its EPS -- boosted by buybacks -- grew 10%. Those uninspiring numbers suggested that Apple's high-growth days were over, so many investors seemed to favor Amazon over Apple. Why did Apple pull ahead of Amazon again? But as the pandemic-related tailwinds faded away, Amazon's growth cooled off against some tough year-over-year comparisons. Yet its revenue still rose 22% to $469.8 billion in 2021, while its net income increased 57% to $33.4 billion and its EPS grew 55%.Unfortunately, several macro challenges this year will exacerbate Amazon's post-pandemic slowdown. Inflation will curb the spending power of its retail consumers while boosting its marketplace expenses, and macro headwinds will gradually reduce the enterprise market's appetite for its cloud-based services. The resignation of founder and CEO Jeff Bezos last July also strongly indicated that Amazon's growth and valuations had reached a near-term peak. For 2022, analysts expect Amazon's revenue to rise just 11% as higher investments reduce its net income by a staggering 98%. That jarring slowdown spooked investors, and its stock tumbled 33% this year.As Amazon's growth cooled, Apple's growth accelerated as it launched the iPhone 12 and expanded its subscription-based services. In fiscal 2021, its revenue jumped 33% to $365.8 billion, its net income grew 65% to $94.7 billion, and its EPS increased 71%. As a result, Apple became an attractive growth stock again as pandemic-era plays burned out.Analysts expect Apple's revenue and net income to grow 7% and 5%, respectively, in fiscal 2021 as it laps the launch of the iPhone 12. Those stable growth rates -- and the inflation-resistant nature of its affluent customers -- have arguably made it a more appealing stock than Amazon. That's why its stock only dipped 15% this year. Will the tables turn again by 2025?Amazon's growth should stabilize after the inflationary and supply chain headwinds dissipate, but investors shouldn't expect it to grow as fast as it did during the pandemic. Between 2021 and 2024, analysts expect its revenue to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14% as its EPS increases at a CAGR of 6%.Meanwhile, Apple is widely expected to launch new AR devices over the next few years to diversify its top line away from the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It's also expected to launch an electric vehicle sometime in the future. It already ended its latest quarter with over 860 million paid subscriptions across its services ecosystem, and that massive walled garden should drive the launches of its future products and services. That roadmap is still murky, but analysts expect Apple's revenue to grow at CAGR of 6% between fiscal 2021 and 2024, while its EPS increases at a CAGR of 8%.Amazon might generate stronger revenue growth than Apple, but its earnings growth should remain weaker because it operates at much lower margins and spends less cash on buybacks. And at around $120 per share, Amazon actually trades at more than 30 times its projected earnings for 2024. At around $150, Apple trades at just 22 times its 2024 estimate. Therefore, Amazon's higher multiple could cool off as investors brace for several more years of single-digit earnings growth. Apple's multiple could hold steady -- or even rise -- as it launches new products and services.I'm not sure exactly where Apple and Amazon will end up by 2025. But based on these facts, it seems highly unlikely that Amazon's market cap will eclipse Apple's within the next three years.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMZN":1,"AAPL":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2111,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9991760199,"gmtCreate":1660880077814,"gmtModify":1676536417939,"author":{"id":"3582703275437818","authorId":"3582703275437818","name":"Xman0808","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/fdfa9586856fc5832b8ce0a75bebce59","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582703275437818","idStr":"3582703275437818"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Continue hold ","listText":"Continue hold ","text":"Continue hold","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9991760199","repostId":"1126005186","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1126005186","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1660879058,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1126005186?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-08-19 11:17","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Nvidia Earnings Preview: Will the Dawn Come?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1126005186","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Nvidia is slated to report its second-quarter results for fiscal 2023 (the May to July 2022 period) ","content":"

Nvidia is slated to report its second-quarter results for fiscal 2023 (the May to July 2022 period) after the market closes on Wednesday, Aug. 24. An analyst conference call is scheduled for the same day at 5 p.m. ET.

Preliminary Financial Results

Last week, Nvidia reported preliminary results for its second quarter fiscal 2023. The preliminary results show second quarter revenue to be $6.7 billion versus $8.1 billion as initially projected. This 17% decline in revenue is being attributed to lower sales in its gaming division, which includes chips used for cryptocurrency mining. However, the company believes that its long-term gross margins are intact, which should temper a potential decline in earnings growth.

Despite the difficulty in Nvidia's gaming division, the company overall should be able to continue to grow its revenue, albeit at a more meager rate. At 49 times earnings, this is a more modest valuation than the company's stock has been trading at in the last year.

source: Nvidia

source: Nvidia

After the release, the stock traded down around 8% but has since recovered those losses, and then some, due to the broader rally in the market.

That seems like an odd reaction to a terrible announcement, but the market sometimes does strange things. So, was this rally truly deserved, or should buyers beware? Let's find out.

What to Watch in Q2

Here's what to watch in the company's Q2 report.

Nvidia may not have a quick rebound from the substantial 2Q revenue and margincut of its pre-announcement, which may persist for two or more quarters. Finally, we'll be looking for management to lay out a path forward to regain its gross margin, which will boost profits.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NVDA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1949,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9904892364,"gmtCreate":1660015318260,"gmtModify":1703476995852,"author":{"id":"3582703275437818","authorId":"3582703275437818","name":"Xman0808","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/fdfa9586856fc5832b8ce0a75bebce59","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582703275437818","idStr":"3582703275437818"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9904892364","repostId":"1164950096","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1164950096","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1660011998,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1164950096?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-08-09 10:26","market":"hk","language":"en","title":"Alibaba Gains 1%, JD Sheds 3%: Hang Seng Opens Lower As All Eyes On US Inflation Data","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1164950096","media":"Benzinga","summary":"KEY POINTSTencent Holdings plans to shut down content creation app KandianHang Seng Index falls over","content":"

KEY POINTS

Tencent Holdings plans to shut down content creation app Kandian

Hang Seng Index falls over 0.4% as investors look ahead to crucial U.S. inflation data

Hong Kong shares were mixed on Tuesday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down more than 0.4%, as investors looked ahead to crucial U.S. inflation data that will decide the course of further rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.

Shares of Alibaba rose 1% in opening trade, while those of JD.com lost over 3%.

SoftBank Group Corp.’s shares fell over 4% in Tuesday morning trade in Japan after the firm announced a ¥2.33 trillion ($17.23 billion) loss in its vision fund unit during the June quarter, mainly led by a slide in share prices of portfolio companies due to growing fears of an economic recession.

Company News: Chinese tech giantTencentis reportedly planning to shut downits content creation app Kandian next Monday as part of efforts to boost efficiency.

Details about Tesla Inc rival XPeng Motors' flagship SUV G9’s interiors have been revealed ahead of the firm’s rumored plans to start taking pre-orders this week, reported CnEVPost.

Amid increasing costs, Meituan is set to raise the prices of its bicycle-sharing passes by as much as 50%, reported Yicai Global.

Global Markets: It was a day of surprises for Wall Street, as weaker-than-expected earnings dragged shares of NVIDIA Corporation by over 6%, while downbeat sales and profit forecast led Palantir Technologies Inc stock to plunge 14%.

Indices ended mixed on Monday, with the Nasdaq closing 0.1% lower, the S&P 500 losing 0.12% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ending on a flat note, as investors turned their attention to U.S. consumer price index data due on Wednesday.

Elsewhere in Asia, Australia’s ASX 200 was trading flat on Tuesday morning. (NVDA), which had an April-ending quarter. Those earnings revealed the effects of COVID shutdowns in China and lost business because of the war in Ukraine that did not factor for the majority of chip makers that had March-ending quarters.

Last quarter, Micron Chief Executive Sanjay Mehrotra said that sales to data-center customers had eclipsed those to the mobile market, and forecast that data-center sales would outpace the broader memory and storage market over the next decade. Revisions to the CEO's forecast on Thursday will be closely watched for signs that demand is starting to ease.

The Boise, Idaho-based chip maker specializes in DRAM and NAND memory chips. DRAM, or dynamic random access memory, is the type of memory commonly used in PCs and servers, while NAND chips are the flash memory chips used in smaller devices like smartphones and USB drives.

Analysts are just starting to see signs that customers may have overbought chips over the past year given short supplies, which would have in turn contributed to record sales for the industry. The thing is, Wall Street has seen this movie before, when the chip industry rode to record sales in 2018 only to find out it was because customers were double- and triple-buying chips to lock in prices before they could shoot any higher. As a result, chip makers were stuck with huge inventories that took months to unload.

For months now, analysts have been fretting over the chip sector following record-high stock prices just before 2022, record sales and sold-out supply until 2023.

Headlining that pessimism going into Micron's earnings is Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore, who has an equal-weight rating and recently slashed his price target to $56 from $83.

Moore said he is "incrementally cautious around the end-market outlook," and that "memory markets remain weak from a volume standpoint."

While Moore appreciates Micron's cost-structure improvements and the product roadmap, "weakness in PC and smartphone, which was concentrated in China, is growing and spreading both geographically and into server and other markets with order reductions/push-outs popping up recently."

"There is also a broader shift of spending from goods to services as COVID-related consumer tendencies transition," Moore said.

What to expect

Earnings: Of the 30 analysts surveyed by FactSet, Micron on average is expected to post adjusted earnings of $2.45 a share, up from the $2.21 a share expected at the beginning of the quarter. Micron had forecast third-quarter net income of $2.36 to $2.56 a share. Estimize, a software platform that uses crowdsourcing from hedge-fund executives, brokerages, buy-side analysts and others, calls for earnings of $2.52 a share.

Revenue: Wall Street expects revenue of $8.65 billion from Micron, according to 28 analysts polled by FactSet. That's up from the $8.1 billion forecast at the beginning of the quarter. Micron predicted revenue of $8.5 billion to $8.9 billion. Estimize expects revenue of $8.73 billion.

Analysts, on average, expect DRAM sales of $6.15 billion, and NAND sales of $2.29 billion, according to FactSet.

Stock movement: Over Micron's May-ending quarter, the stock has fallen 17%, while the PHLX Semiconductor Index has declined nearly 10% over the same period, the S&P 500 index has shed 5.5%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index has dropped 12%.

Micron has exceeded analysts' expectations every quarter since December 2018, when sales were about 1% lower than the Street's consensus. Over the 13 quarters since, the stock's movement has been fairly unpredictable, rising seven times the day after earnings, and falling six.

What analysts are saying

Evercore ISI analyst C.J. Muse, who has an outperform rating and a $90 price target, said he expects consumer weakness and data-center strength to balance each other out.

"Bigger picture, we believe the structural transformation now underway at Micron, along with an increasingly rational memory-industry backdrop, positions the company well to navigate the current slowdown," Muse said.

"For investors with duration, today's level is very interesting, particularly considering the significant strides Micron has made in recent years," Muse said. That said, "given recession potential," Muse said he sees $50 as "the close-your-eyes level" on the stock.

Another analyst who has a $50-a-share downside scenario price on the stock is BMO Capital analyst Ambrish Srivastava, who has an outperform rating and an $85 price target. Srivastava he expects lower capital spending at Micron as he expects memory-chip prices to go lower than his previous expectations.

"As major end markets, from PCs to handsets, which collectively make up a meaningful portion of the memory industry's revenues, as well as that of Micron's, decelerate more than what we were earlier thinking, we are lowering our estimates for Micron," Srivastava said.

UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri, who has a buy rating and a $115 price target, said he thinks that "investors continue to overlook several key factors" on the stock.

While PC and smartphone weakness is a concern, Arcuri expects strong prices going into 2023 as supply drops off again. Also, "demand should be cushioned" by new server platforms upgrading processors next year.

"We believe these company-specific factors have to some degree been lost in the investment debate on the stock as concerns around consumer demand have taken hold," Arcuri said.

Of the 36 analysts who cover Micron, 32 have buy or overweight ratings, three have hold ratings and one has a sell rating, with an average price target of $96.74, or 67% higher than Tuesday's close, according to FactSet data.

","source":"lsy1603348471595","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; (NVDA), which had an April-ending quarter. Those earnings revealed the effects of COVID shutdowns in China and lost business because of the war in Ukraine that did not factor for the majority of chip makers that had March-ending quarters.Last quarter, Micron Chief Executive Sanjay Mehrotra said that sales to data-center customers had eclipsed those to the mobile market, and forecast that data-center sales would outpace the broader memory and storage market over the next decade. Revisions to the CEO's forecast on Thursday will be closely watched for signs that demand is starting to ease. The Boise, Idaho-based chip maker specializes in DRAM and NAND memory chips. DRAM, or dynamic random access memory, is the type of memory commonly used in PCs and servers, while NAND chips are the flash memory chips used in smaller devices like smartphones and USB drives.Analysts are just starting to see signs that customers may have overbought chips over the past year given short supplies, which would have in turn contributed to record sales for the industry. The thing is, Wall Street has seen this movie before, when the chip industry rode to record sales in 2018 only to find out it was because customers were double- and triple-buying chips to lock in prices before they could shoot any higher. As a result, chip makers were stuck with huge inventories that took months to unload. For months now, analysts have been fretting over the chip sector following record-high stock prices just before 2022, record sales and sold-out supply until 2023.Headlining that pessimism going into Micron's earnings is Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore, who has an equal-weight rating and recently slashed his price target to $56 from $83.Moore said he is \"incrementally cautious around the end-market outlook,\" and that \"memory markets remain weak from a volume standpoint.\"While Moore appreciates Micron's cost-structure improvements and the product roadmap, \"weakness in PC and smartphone, which was concentrated in China, is growing and spreading both geographically and into server and other markets with order reductions/push-outs popping up recently.\"\"There is also a broader shift of spending from goods to services as COVID-related consumer tendencies transition,\" Moore said. What to expectEarnings: Of the 30 analysts surveyed by FactSet, Micron on average is expected to post adjusted earnings of $2.45 a share, up from the $2.21 a share expected at the beginning of the quarter. Micron had forecast third-quarter net income of $2.36 to $2.56 a share. Estimize, a software platform that uses crowdsourcing from hedge-fund executives, brokerages, buy-side analysts and others, calls for earnings of $2.52 a share.Revenue: Wall Street expects revenue of $8.65 billion from Micron, according to 28 analysts polled by FactSet. That's up from the $8.1 billion forecast at the beginning of the quarter. Micron predicted revenue of $8.5 billion to $8.9 billion. Estimize expects revenue of $8.73 billion.Analysts, on average, expect DRAM sales of $6.15 billion, and NAND sales of $2.29 billion, according to FactSet.Stock movement: Over Micron's May-ending quarter, the stock has fallen 17%, while the PHLX Semiconductor Index has declined nearly 10% over the same period, the S&P 500 index has shed 5.5%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index has dropped 12%.Micron has exceeded analysts' expectations every quarter since December 2018, when sales were about 1% lower than the Street's consensus. Over the 13 quarters since, the stock's movement has been fairly unpredictable, rising seven times the day after earnings, and falling six. What analysts are sayingEvercore ISI analyst C.J. Muse, who has an outperform rating and a $90 price target, said he expects consumer weakness and data-center strength to balance each other out.\"Bigger picture, we believe the structural transformation now underway at Micron, along with an increasingly rational memory-industry backdrop, positions the company well to navigate the current slowdown,\" Muse said.\"For investors with duration, today's level is very interesting, particularly considering the significant strides Micron has made in recent years,\" Muse said. That said, \"given recession potential,\" Muse said he sees $50 as \"the close-your-eyes level\" on the stock.Another analyst who has a $50-a-share downside scenario price on the stock is BMO Capital analyst Ambrish Srivastava, who has an outperform rating and an $85 price target. Srivastava he expects lower capital spending at Micron as he expects memory-chip prices to go lower than his previous expectations.\"As major end markets, from PCs to handsets, which collectively make up a meaningful portion of the memory industry's revenues, as well as that of Micron's, decelerate more than what we were earlier thinking, we are lowering our estimates for Micron,\" Srivastava said.UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri, who has a buy rating and a $115 price target, said he thinks that \"investors continue to overlook several key factors\" on the stock. While PC and smartphone weakness is a concern, Arcuri expects strong prices going into 2023 as supply drops off again. Also, \"demand should be cushioned\" by new server platforms upgrading processors next year.\"We believe these company-specific factors have to some degree been lost in the investment debate on the stock as concerns around consumer demand have taken hold,\" Arcuri said.Of the 36 analysts who cover Micron, 32 have buy or overweight ratings, three have hold ratings and one has a sell rating, with an average price target of $96.74, or 67% higher than Tuesday's close, according to FactSet data.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"MU":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3102,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9049870619,"gmtCreate":1655778328831,"gmtModify":1676535703663,"author":{"id":"3582703275437818","authorId":"3582703275437818","name":"Xman0808","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/fdfa9586856fc5832b8ce0a75bebce59","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582703275437818","idStr":"3582703275437818"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good news ","listText":"Good news ","text":"Good news","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9049870619","repostId":"1144169530","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1144169530","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1655777912,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1144169530?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-21 10:18","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Amazon Fresh Ramps up Expansion With Five New Stores","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1144169530","media":"Supermarket News","summary":"Amazon has shifted into high gear with the expansion of its Amazon Fresh supermarket banner, more th","content":"

Amazon has shifted into high gear with the expansion of its Amazon Fresh supermarket banner, more than doubling the number of stores a year ago.

This month, Amazon announced five new Amazon Fresh stores, three of which have opened. Its growth reflects the ongoing tailwinds in the space, with the company achieving and guiding for record revenues and net income levels. Qualcomm’s capital returns also appear quite enticing, while the relatively beaten-down valuation should provide a decent margin of safety. Macroeconomic-related risks persist, nonetheless.Qualcomm Incorporated (QCOM) concentrates on progressing and commercializing critical technologies for the wireless industry. The company has a leading industry position globally. Its technologies, products, and services are utilized in mobile devices and countless wireless products, such as network equipment, consumer electronic devices, and broadband gateway equipment.Qualcomm’s innovations have contributed significantly to the sophistication of smartphones, helping connect billions of people. Specifically, Qualcomm has been a major player in 3G (third-generation), 4G (fourth-generation), and 5G (fifth-generation) wireless technologies. Moreover, the company should preserve its leading position over the long run due to its countless patents and unshared know-how.I remain bullish on QCOM.Recent PerformanceThe 5G market has been growing rapidly, but it’s still in the stages of adoption in multiple regions (e.g., Central America and other emerging markets). International telecom behemoths strive to achieve international scale in terms of 5G coverage, resulting in increasing demand for Qualcomm’s technologies. This was exhibited in the company’s latest results, with overall revenue growth retaining strong momentum. In Fiscal Q2 2022, Qualcomm posted the fourth consecutive quarter of record sales, which grew 41% to $11.2 billion. Its QCT (Qualcomm CDMA Technologies) business remained the core growth engine of the company, with the company seeing strength across the entire portfolio. The segment’s revenues came in at $9.5 billion, also a record, reflecting year-over-year growth of 52%.Qualcomm’s automotive design win pipeline also surpassed $16 billion, increasing by more than $3 billion quarter-over-quarter. A growing backlog means increased cash flow visibility for the company, allowing to grow the segment’s revenues in a predictable manner.Accordingly, the company achieved record automotive revenues of $339 million in Q1, indicating growth of 41% year-over-year. Revenue growth was powered by the company gradually delivering on its backlog, including various launches in its digital cockpit platforms. As Qualcomm’s Snapdragon accomplishes increased adoption, the company’s automotive backlog is likely to keep extending, moving forward.Further, IoT revenues rose 61% year-over-year, reflecting strong growth across all three classes of consumer products, especially in edge networking and industrial solutions. These numbers indicate that Qualcomm’s primary growth drivers remain robust, despite concerns over a slowing-down consumer economy.Qualcomm’s scaling economics have resulted in unlocking cost efficiencies and expanding margins. As a result, net income grew quite more significantly than revenues, by 67% to $2.9 billion. On a per-share basis, net income grew by 68% to $2.57, further boosted by the company’s serial buybacks, which reduced the share count.Capital ReturnsBesides Qualcomm’s prospective growth potential, the company further features a very well-established track record of capital returns. Following Qualcomm’s latest dividend hike of 10.3% last March, Qualcomm’s dividend has risen annually for 19 consecutive years. Therefore, the company is progressing toward achieving a Dividend Aristocrat Status. It’s also worth noting that this dividend increase was much larger than last year’s 4.6%. It could imply an acceleration in dividend growth moving forward, as the five-year dividend per share CAGR stands at 5.61%. The hike also outpaced inflation, which could be interpreted as management valuing the company’s income-oriented investors. Moreover, Qualcomm has been regularly buying back stock, which further uplifts total shareholder returns. Since 2013, it has repurchased just over 1/3 of its total outstanding shares, which is rather admirable. During the latest quarter alone, the company returned $951 million to shareholders in the form of stock repurchases. This implies a “buyback yield” of around 2.8% on an annualized basis based on Qualcomm’s present market cap of $135 billion, accompanying the 2.5% dividend yield.Wall Street’s TakeTurning to Wall Street, Qualcomm has a Moderate Buy consensus rating based on 12 Buys and seven Holds assigned in the past three months. At $193.24, the average Qualcomm stock forecast indicates 59.6% upside potential.TakeawayQualcomm is one of the major beneficiaries of the increasing adoption of 5G and the increasing demand for smart devices. Its growth reflects the ongoing tailwinds in the space, with the company achieving and guiding for record revenues and net income levels. Its capital returns also appear quite enticing. One major risk to consider is the present macroeconomic environment, which is quite treacherous. Various forces, including inflation and the possibility of a housing crisis as a result of rising rates, could result in lower consumer spending and thus lower sales for Qualcomm’s products and solutions. That said, the company’s overall momentum remains robust, management’s forward guidance is rather optimistic, and its backlog should ensure some stability when it comes to future cash flows. With shares trading at around 11.2 times the midpoint of management’s guidance, investors’ margin of safety should be rather wide as well, assuming headwinds in valuations persist in the coming quarters. For context, on a next twelve-month basis, the stock’s P/E stands at 9.3, which is the lowest multiple the company has traded at since its IPO in 1999.Management continues to see strong momentum in sales going forward, forecasting revenues between $10.5 billion and $11.3 billion in fiscal Q3. At the midpoint, it implies year-over-year growth of 35.2% to $10.9 billion, which would mark another quarterly record. EPS is also expected to land between $2.75 and $2.95, also suggesting a new record and year-over-year growth of 48.4% at the midpoint.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"QCOM":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2441,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9040745584,"gmtCreate":1655710154248,"gmtModify":1676535691006,"author":{"id":"3582703275437818","authorId":"3582703275437818","name":"Xman0808","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/fdfa9586856fc5832b8ce0a75bebce59","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582703275437818","idStr":"3582703275437818"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Oh no. The company also added a new NIO House, which is its comprehensive facility with showroom functions and advanced services for users, in Beijing on the same day.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"02015":0.9,"XPEV":0.9,"NIO":0.9,"LI":0.9,"09868":0.9,"09866":0.9,"NIO.SI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2354,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9040143700,"gmtCreate":1655625634300,"gmtModify":1676535674703,"author":{"id":"3582703275437818","authorId":"3582703275437818","name":"Xman0808","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/fdfa9586856fc5832b8ce0a75bebce59","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582703275437818","idStr":"3582703275437818"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Bought at 3200.😭","listText":"Bought at 3200.😭","text":"Bought at 3200.😭","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9040143700","repostId":"1191198317","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2887,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9054814624,"gmtCreate":1655366715068,"gmtModify":1676535624104,"author":{"id":"3582703275437818","authorId":"3582703275437818","name":"Xman0808","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/fdfa9586856fc5832b8ce0a75bebce59","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582703275437818","idStr":"3582703275437818"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Go up Tesla !","listText":"Go up Tesla !","text":"Go up Tesla !","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9054814624","repostId":"1141985538","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1141985538","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1655366606,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1141985538?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-16 16:03","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla Slid Over 3% in Premarket Trading After Raising U.S. Prices Across Car Models","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1141985538","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Tesla slid over 3% in premarket trading after raising U.S. prices across car models. It increased its","content":"

Tesla slid over 3% in premarket trading after raising U.S. prices across car models.

It increased its Model Y long-range price to $65,990 from $62,990, its website showed on Thursday, after delaying the deliveries of some long-range models in the United States by up to a month.

The price hike comes as costs of raw materials have surged, including aluminium that is used in cars.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html;
