Why would we want to maintain the abusive USA monopoly which is oppressing the whole world?  Monopoly hurts everyone with high prices and low quality.  We need competition from China to drive innovation and improvement.  Optimus production should be moved to shanghai gigafactory.   Mag 7 should relocate to China.   Building rare earth production and refining in USA would take a decade. And horrible damage to the environment.  You don't want to do that.  Plus higher prices too.  Better to move production to China.

China's Export Restrictions Disrupt Tesla's Robot Plans

China's halt on a wide range of critical minerals and magnet exports in retaliation for U.S. tariffs has disrupted some of Elon Musk's plans to build humanoid robots. The very act of Beijing choking off supplies of critical components highlights the urgent need to friendshore or reshore rare earths mining and refining, as well as advanced technology supply chains, if the U.S. hopes to maintain its dominance into the 2030s.On Tuesday, Musk revealed during Tesla's earnings call that plans to build humanoid robots had hit a snag due to Beijing's ban on certain rare earth metals and magnets critical for the motors and actuators that power the robots.Musk told investors that Tesla's Optimus humanoid robots have electric motors that operate in a confined space and require special magnets:. "That's more affected by the supply chain, by basically China requiring an export license to send out anywhere w. Musk warned that a shortage of magnets could slow down the production of Optimus robots.Tha

Trump's Trade Offensive Threatens America's Financial Primacy

By Nick Timiraos, Jack Pitcher and Chelsey Dulaney. Financial markets have flashed an ominous message this month about President Trump's ambitious and improvisational bid to reshape global trade: Be careful what you wish for.Volatility in Treasury markets and unexpected weakness in the dollar suggest that what began as a trade conflict could morph into a more dangerous "capital war." The clash threatens to raise U.S. borrowing costs by undermining Washington's long-standing financial primacy, which for years has drawn trillions of dollars of foreign funds into the country."This idea that you can break trade, and not break the capital flow side, is a fantasy," said Steven Blitz, chief U.S. economist at GlobalData TS Lombard. The dollar began the year looking potentially as overvalued as it had been since the 1980s, and Treasury yields remain in the middle of their trading range over the past two years, said Clarida, who is now a senior adviser at bond giant Pimco

Why not ban Chinese food?  If you want to escalate, hit the food industry.

If Trump Delisted Chinese Stocks, Here's How It Would Work

Trade tensions between the U.S. and China are escalating rapidly. Wall Street could be the next battleground.During his first term, President Trump explored the idea of delisting Chinese stocks from U.S. exchanges, eventually signing an executive order that prohibited Americans from investing in some Chinese companies the U.S. said had aided China's military. In a recent interview, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent declined to rule out a broader ban."I think everything's on the table," Bessent said on Fox Business, when asked if the government would go as far as barring all Chinese stocks from trading on U.S. exchanges. "That'll be President Trump's decision.". A broad delisting of Chinese companies could have serious consequences for financial markets in both countries. Here's what you need to know:. How do American investors typically invest in Chinese stocks?A bank or broker holds underlying stock in a company and issues ADRs that track the price of those shares. American investors c
