$Venture Global, Inc.(VG)$ Ok so i have been doing research on this company for a bit now and pulled the trigger this past week. Brought 10 shares in the $9 range, so im hardly going all in. For me its a five year plus investment.
So the company liquifies natural gas and exports it. Crazy move investing in that atm i bet you are all thinking with Trumps tariff wars potentially screwing all VG's profits in the short term. Especially as it looks like VG will mainly export to the EU. But LNG is a commodity and as such can be Hedged. But in the short term VG got their first plant fully operational in December 2024 and will have the second fully operational in Q1 2025. So there will be a significant revenue boost in Q1 and also a significant reduction in R&D expenses Going forward.
I see this stock as a potential long term dividend machine, it already pays a tiny 0.69% return. But its going to grow significantly over the long term. And its profitable. So with significant dividend growth going forward, i also see stock price appreciation. So potentially its a growth stock and a dividend stock. And its also a contrarian play at the mo.
Still have alot to learn about the stock, hence such a tiny investment to start with. Maybe the company will refocus on supply within the USA to offset the whole tariff issue. There will definitely be opportunities their as canadian LNG supply becomes way more expensive. Also appears that with brand new plant, they can produce at a lower cost basis than older and thus less cutting edge plant and technology.
As i learn more, and become more confident ill accumulate. If my thesis proves wrong, obviously i'll jump out. For now though, it's worth dipping a toe in. You will all be forgiven for going... venture global? Never herd of it. You would be totally correct. It just listed in jan this year and has plummeted. As is often the case, spacs list, plummet, then spend a year or so going sideways or worse, go down further. Not bothered, because its not a traditional growth stock that is looking 5 plus years out to break even, and has to capital raise to pay for R&D. It is already profitable, R&D is done, and it already pays a dividend.
Id be really interested in what others Think on this one. Am i on to something or am i nuts?
As always, may all your trades be forever in your favor
