Intel Soars 8% as Bullish Options Flow Amplifies Multiple Tailwinds

$Intel(INTC)$   shares jumped 8% in early trading on Tuesday, marking another sharp rally after last Friday's more than 10% surge and sending the stock to its highest level in over a year on a wave of bullish catalysts.

According to Tom's Hardware, citing analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, $Apple(AAPL)$   has signed an NDA with Intel and received the 18A process PDK 0.9.1GA, indicating meaningful progress in their potential foundry cooperation. If all goes smoothly, Intel could begin volume chip shipments to Apple as early as mid-to-late 2027. This would mark the first renewal of their partnership since it broke off in 2023 and could weaken TSMC's long-standing exclusivity in Apple's advanced-node supply chain.

Intel is also making steady advances in advanced packaging. Multiple reports suggest $Alphabet(GOOG)$   plans to adopt Intel's EMIB packaging for its 2027 TPU v9, while $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$  's MTIA accelerators are also rumored to incorporate Intel's packaging solutions. TrendForce data show that EMIB-M could expand package sizes by 8–12× by 2026–2027, offering a more cost-efficient option for ultra-large AI chips.

The options market is reinforcing the bullish momentum.  Intel's options volume reached 308,290 contracts today, while the Put/Call Ratio dropped to 0.25, indicating strong dominance of call-side demand.

With momentum from process technology, advanced packaging, and potential new customer wins, Intel has emerged as one of the strongest performers among large-cap semiconductor stocks in recent sessions.
