Micron's $Micron Technology(MU)$
I don't think it's "too late," but I also don't see this as a chase. If Nomura is right about the memory supercycle extending into 2027, then this is more about staying power than perfect entry timing. The key point for me is supply discipline: with no meaningful capacity additions before 2028, even modest upside surprises in AI server and enterprise SSD demand can translate into much stronger pricing than the market is currently modeling.
What I like about Micron specifically is that it's carrying the pressure of AI success—heavy capex, tight execution requirements—but hasn't been fully rewarded on valuation yet. Compared with some AI beneficiaries trading on pure narrative, Micron still has a balance between cyclical recovery and structural growth. That makes it feel less fragile if sentiment cools temporarily.
I've been gradually building exposure rather than going all-in. Memory is still cyclical by nature, so I prefer to size it as a medium-term position rather than a short-term trade. I'm comfortable adding on pullbacks or periods when the market shifts attention back to headline AI names and forgets about the "picks and shovels" underneath.
As for my top memory pick, Micron remains my core choice because of its leverage to DRAM pricing and AI-driven mix improvement. I also keep an eye on the broader memory ecosystem, but if memory really becomes the next AI investment star, I think Micron is one of the cleanest ways to express that view—without paying peak-multiple prices upfront.
As a retail investor, I focus mainly on the US and Singapore markets, combining a mix of technical trading and long-term investing strategies. I enjoy analyzing charts, spotting patterns, and making calculated moves based on both market sentiment and fundamentals. While I'm not a professional, I treat my portfolio seriously and continue to learn and grow with each trade. If you're also navigating the markets and enjoy discussing stocks, options, or market trends, feel free to follow me. Let's learn and grow together as a community.
