I’ve been digging into the reports from February 2nd, and the "plumbing" of the market is telling a massive story.
📉 The "Physical Drain" is Real
Look at the red boxes in the images. In the Silver report, we see a Month to Date total of 2,765 contracts.
The Math: Each contract is 5,000 oz. That means 13.8 MILLION ounces of silver have been moved for delivery in just the first few days of the month.
Silver is a much "thinner" market than gold. When physical bars move at this velocity, it creates a "run on the bank" scenario.
🏦 The Big Players are Taking Delivery
In COMEX terms, "Stopped" means the buyer is standing their ground and demanding the physical metal instead of just rolling over a paper contract.
JP Morgan (Line 661): They are the primary clearinghouse here. They "Stopped" 137 contracts.
The Signal: When giants like JPM, Goldman, and Scotia start "stopping" notices, it means they no longer want paper promises—they want the heavy bars in their own vaults.
🧪 Why Silver is the "Smoking Gun"
While Gold is the ultimate store of value, Silver is the high-beta play. The physical supply is tighter, the industrial demand is higher, and the vault drainage is happening faster.
The Bottom Line: We are watching a massive shift from "Paper Silver" to "Physical Reality." If the vaults empty faster than they can be refilled, the price won't just move—it will teleport. 🚀🌑
