🐶💰 Love, Money & The Options Puppy: Do They Follow the Same Logic?

❤️🐶 Emotional Stability Is the Entry Ticket

When people think about investing, they often imagine intelligence, complex analysis, or secret strategies. But in reality, the true entry ticket to markets is emotional stability.

The same rule applies to love.

In relationships, emotions can swing wildly—joy, fear, jealousy, excitement. In markets, it’s the same story: greed during rallies and panic during crashes.

So when a crazy week arrives with geopolitical drama, market drops, and headlines screaming doom, the real question becomes:

Do you panic and break up with the market, or do you ride it out together?

The investors who succeed long-term are usually the calm ones. The same is true in relationships. Stability beats drama almost every time.

The Options Puppy philosophy is simple:

🐶 Stay calm. Wag the tail. Collect the premium.

🏦🐾 Building the Puppy’s Safe Doghouse

Personally, I designed my portfolio not for excitement but for life stability.

About 80% of my capital sits in bonds yielding around 4%. Some investors might say that sounds boring.

But boring is good.

Bonds are like the stable home in a relationship. They provide predictable income and reduce financial stress. When markets become chaotic, this portion of the portfolio keeps things grounded.

Instead of chasing every hot trade or market rumor, the goal is simply:

🐶 Protect the bones first. Hunt later.

That stable foundation allows me to sleep well at night—even when markets are doing their daily emotional roller coaster.

📈🐕 The 18% Stock Adventure

The remaining 18% of my portfolio is invested in stocks, but even here the strategy is not reckless speculation.

Instead, I mainly sell call options.

Selling calls generates steady premiums, which function almost like collecting rent from stocks. Rather than hoping prices skyrocket, the strategy focuses on consistent income.

The returns are not spectacular.

You won’t see 300% gains or flashy screenshots.

But the goal of the Options Puppy strategy was never to become rich overnight. The goal is something much more valuable:

🐶 Financial stability and peace of mind.

And surprisingly, that boring stability can have a powerful impact on life.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💖 When Money Supports Love

One of the biggest reasons I built my portfolio this way is because money affects more than just numbers.

It affects life choices.

Because my finances are stable, my loved ones don’t need to run endlessly in the rat race. Instead of working stressful full-time jobs forever, they can retire earlier or choose part-time work.

That freedom changes everything.

Less stress.

More time together.

More control over life.

Money cannot buy love, but it can remove many of the pressures that damage relationships.

And sometimes the best investment return is not a percentage—it’s time with people you care about.

🐶📉 Finding Opportunities in Oversold Markets

Even a calm Options Puppy occasionally goes hunting for opportunities.

Recently, one interesting example is the KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF.

After years of volatility and regulatory pressure, many Chinese internet stocks have dropped significantly. Recently the ETF traded around $29.50.

Instead of chasing the price upward, I used a more defensive strategy.

I sold a $25 put option expiring in 16 days and collected about $0.10 premium, which equals roughly 0.3% return for just over two weeks.

Now some traders might laugh at such a small premium.

But remember the Options Puppy rule:

🐶 Small treats collected consistently become a full meal.

🛡️🐾 Risk Management First

The reason I chose the $25 strike price is simple: risk buffer.

At $29.50 market price, selling a put at $25 means the ETF must fall significantly before assignment happens.

And if the option expires worthless?

Great.

The puppy simply collects the premium and waits for the next opportunity.

This is similar to relationships too.

You don’t rush into commitments when things are expensive or overheated. You wait patiently until the risk-reward balance makes sense.

Patience is the underrated superpower.

🎡🐶 If Assigned… The Wheel Begins

Now here’s where the Options Puppy gets excited.

If the market falls and I get assigned shares of KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF at $25, the strategy does not stop there.

Instead, I begin running the wheel strategy.

Step 1: Get assigned shares at the lower price.

Step 2: Immediately start selling covered calls at or above the assigned price.

Step 3: Continue collecting premiums.

This creates a continuous income loop.

🐶 Sell puts → collect premium

🐶 Assigned shares → sell covered calls

🐶 Shares called away → sell puts again

This wheel strategy allows me to extract income from volatility rather than fear it.

Volatility becomes the puppy’s playground.

⏳💞 Timing vs Holding

There’s an interesting philosophical question here.

In both love and investing:

What is harder? Timing perfectly or holding long-term?

Most people think timing is difficult.

But the truth is holding is harder.

Holding requires patience through uncertainty. It requires emotional control when things temporarily go wrong.

Markets fall. Relationships face challenges. Emotions get tested.

The real winners in both areas are usually the ones who stay steady when others panic.

🐶💰 The True Return on Investment

My investment returns are not extraordinary.

I’m not chasing billionaire status or viral trading fame.

But the portfolio has accomplished something much more meaningful:

• Financial stability

• Reduced stress

• Freedom for loved ones

• A calmer life

In the end, investing is not just about maximizing profit.

It’s about designing a life that works.

The Options Puppy philosophy is simple:

🐶 Protect capital

🐶 Collect steady premiums

🐶 Manage risk carefully

🐶 Let compounding do the work

🐾❤️ Final Thoughts from the Options Puppy

So are love and investing similar?

Surprisingly, yes.

Both require patience.

Both require emotional discipline.

Both reward long-term thinking.

The investors who panic during volatility often lose money. The partners who panic during challenges often lose relationships.

The winners in both fields understand one important truth:

🐶 Stability beats excitement.

My portfolio might not be flashy, but it has created something priceless:

A life where the people I care about have more freedom, less stress, and the ability to step away from the rat race.

And if the puppy gets a few option premiums along the way?

Well… that’s just extra treats. 🐶💰
