GOOGL and TSLA sink after earnings; Capitalise using Alphabet, Tesla, and SpaceX DLCs
Big Tech earnings season kicked off on 22 July, with Alphabet (GOOGL) and Tesla (TSLA) reporting after the US market close.
$Alphabet(GOOGL)$ posted record revenue and beat earnings expectations, but shares slipped 2.2% overnight (as of 10AM Singapore time) as investors reacted to higher projected capital expenditure.
The move lifted the Alphabet 3x Short DLC by 6.6%, while the Alphabet 3x Long DLC fell by a similar magnitude.
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ , meanwhile, disappointed with second-quarter earnings that missed expectations, as a sharp decline in operating profitability overshadowed revenue growth.
Its shares fell 3.8% overnight, driving the Tesla 3x Short DLC up 11.4%, while the Tesla 3x Long DLC declined by a comparable amount.
Amplifying the move, the Tesla 3x Short DLC surged 11.4%, while the Tesla 3x Long DLC fell a similar magnitude.
