  • St Barbara declared a statutory profit after tax of $490 million for FY26.

  • The company declared a fully franked dividend of $0.05 per share while cash reserves reached $475 million.

  • Growth was driven by the Lingbao transaction and project developments across its mining portfolio.

St Barbara (ASX:SBM) reported a statutory profit after tax of $490 million for FY26, driven by an asset sale gain.

The result marks a recovery from the restated statutory loss after tax of $94 million recorded in FY25.

"We completed the Lingbao strategic investment, secured the funding and early mining lease renewal for FID on the New Simberi Gold Expansion Project, completed permitting and FID for the Touquoy Restart; and we delivered a compelling 15-Mile Processing Hub Project pre-feasibility study," said St Barbara Managing Director and CEO Andrew Strelein.

The statutory profit included a $500 million gain on the deconsolidation of New Simberi Gold following the Lingbao transaction.

Following the announcement, the St Barbara share price was down at $0.66.

The board has declared a fully franked ordinary dividend of $0.05 per share.

The company reported zero debt and no hedging alongside total net assets of $928 million.

The gold miner continues to advance permitting and study milestones across its Touquoy, 15-Mile, and Nova Scotia assets.
