The move aligns with fresh company developments pointing to both supply-chain strengthening and technology roadmap visibility. Micron said it plans to invest up to $3 billion to reinforce the U.S. semiconductor supply chain, including funding an expansion project at Indium Corporation’s Rome, New York facility. In return, Indium will enter into a long-term supply agreement with Micron for high-purity minerals, supporting domestic processing capacity for critical semiconductor materials.
Separately, Micron is set to host a technology webinar focused on DRAM, HBM and NAND innovation, where President and Chief Technology and Products Officer Scott DeBoer will outline multi-generation roadmaps, customer co-design efforts and longer-term research plans.
