3 Stocks to Watch Today: Apple, Palantir and BWX Technologies
The new trading week begins with investors reassessing AI valuations following last week’s technology sell-off. The key question is whether the pullback creates fresh opportunities or signals that the market is becoming more selective about growth.
Here are three stocks I am watching on Monday, November 2.
1. $Apple(AAPL)$ - Earnings Could Set the Tone
Apple is the biggest earnings event to watch today. Wall Street expects approximately $113.3 billion in revenue and $1.98 EPS for its fiscal Q4.
Beyond the headline numbers, I will be watching iPhone demand, gross margins and management’s outlook for the holiday quarter. Rising component costs could create pressure even if sales remain strong.
The key question is whether Apple can deliver enough growth to justify its current valuation.
2. $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ – Can AI Software Deliver?
Palantir reports after market close, making it another important test for the AI investment theme.
Unlike companies spending heavily on data centres and computing infrastructure, Palantir’s investment case centres on monetising AI through software and enterprise adoption.
I will be watching commercial customer growth, US commercial revenue and forward guidance. Strong demand is encouraging, but the valuation leaves little room for disappointment.
3. $BWX Technologies Inc(BWXT)$ – A Different Investment Theme
I also want to watch BWX Technologies, which reports earnings today.
Nuclear energy is attracting attention as electricity demand increases, particularly from data centres and industrial users. BWXT has exposure to nuclear components, services and government-related programmes.
After a significant share-price decline in recent months, its earnings and management commentary could offer insight into whether the underlying business remains strong despite market weakness.
My trading approach
I would avoid chasing the first market reaction today. With several important earnings reports approaching, volatility could create better entry opportunities.
My preference is to watch companies with strong underlying demand, improving earnings visibility and a credible path to cash-flow growth.
