New Lenovo call warrant to trade stock's technically critical level

Macquarie has listed a new call warrant TOCW tracking $LENOVO GROUP(00992)$ shares listed on the Hong Kong Exchange (992.HK), enabling Singapore investors to position for a potential recovery in Lenovo's share price

Yesterday, Lenovo shares slipped below the critical 200-day moving average of HKD 19.75 following a -6.7% loss to close at HKD 19.54

🏆One of 2026's strongest AI winners: Investor enthusiasm surrounding AI infrastructure and data centre growth helped Lenovo rally from Aug to an all-time high of HKD 37.88 on 18 Sep 2026 - a staggering 311% year-to-date return at its peak

Sentiment was further boosted in Sep after IDC data showed Lenovo became the world's biggest seller of x86 servers for the first time, with shipments surging 45.6% and well ahead of the industry's 8.9% growth (Bloomberg)

📉Recent correction in sector: Following concerns in Oct over global AI stock valuations, Lenovo shares underwent a swift 49% correction from the 18 Sep peak

Its peers were not spared, with Dell (-34%) and HP's (-22%) also pulling back from their respective peaks, although Lenovo's correction was the deepest among the three

Despite recent weakness, Lenovo remains the top index stock performer on the Hang Seng Index with a year-to-date gain of 109%

Bloomberg data indicates that Lenovo currently trades at a forward P/E ratio of 7.4x - below Dell's 13.9x and HP's 9.4x

🗓Upcoming 19 Nov earnings a share price catalyst? With its second quarter earnings scheduled on the night of 19 Nov, the question is if the stock will rebound to hold above its 200-MA, or slide further below

Bloomberg consensus expect its Infrastructure and Solutions Group to continue expanding 10.8% versus 1Q, while its Intelligent Devices Group is expected to contract -3.6% versus 1Q

The key earnings drivers to watch, according to DBS, are enterprise-AI share gains, firmer pricing, sustained ISG margins, and conversion of customer relationships into higher-value servers, storage, and services

Position for a rebound: investors who believe Lenovo's recent share price correction is overdone can considering obtaining leveraged exposure of 3.7x using today's newly listed call $Lenovo MB eCW270504(TOCW.SI)$ which costs SGD 0.030 based on Lenovo's HKD 19.66 share price this morning at 905AM

Break below 19.75 matters more than the rebound pitch here. If earnings cannot reclaim that 200 day line fast, this still looks like a weak setup
