🛡️ DEFENSIVE STOCKS: WHEN THE MARKET GETS NERVOUS, BORING CAN BECOME BEAUTIFUL!

With market volatility rising and investors questioning how sustainable the rally really is, defensive stocks deserve another look.

The smartest investors don’t just chase the next high-growth opportunity. They also build portfolios that can withstand market turbulence.

Two defensive performers catching my attention:

🥤 1. Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO)

Up approximately 41% over the past year. Its global brand strength, pricing power, recurring demand and reliable cash generation demonstrate why consumer staples can remain attractive in uncertain markets.

🛒 2. Walmart (NYSE: WMT)

Up approximately 25% over the past year. Its enormous distribution network, everyday low-price strategy and ability to attract customers trading down during economic uncertainty make it an interesting defensive play.

THE BIGGER INVESTMENT LESSON

Defensive investing isn’t about avoiding stocks that fall. It’s about owning businesses with resilient demand, dependable cash flows and the financial strength to navigate economic turbulence.

My strategy? Keep exposure to growth stocks for upside, but balance them with quality defensive businesses for resilience.

Because when investors suddenly rush for the exits, having a portfolio with some shock absorbers is considerably better than discovering you’ve built a Ferrari with bicycle brakes! 😂

Would you rather own high-growth technology stocks or defensive businesses like Coca-Cola and Walmart heading into another volatile period?
