Micron Technology's Q4 results for fiscal year 2026 exceeded expectations, with AI memory demand and future market supply and demand shortages driving growth.
Micron Technologies reported revenue of $54.229 billion and net profit of $37.701 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, both significantly exceeding market expectations. Customer long-term supply agreement procurement commitments increased to $32 billion, demand for AI memory chips was strong, and data center business revenue increased more than tenfold year-on-year. The company expects adjusted revenue to be between $60 billion and $63 billion in the first quarter of next fiscal year, with gross profit margin expected to improve during the fiscal year. The CEO and CFO of Micron Technologies revealed that the supply and demand in the storage market will be even tighter in 2027 and 2028. 26 long-term orders have been signed, and more than 75% of the production capacity has been committed to by customers. Capital expenditures for fiscal year 2027 will be approximately $25 billion, primarily for the construction of new wafer fabs.
