The AI Debt Boom Is Getting Bigger: Is the Cost of Building the AI Future Becoming a Credit Risk?

The AI investment boom is entering a new phase, and the latest developments in the US bond market suggest that the cost of building the next generation of AI infrastructure is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. On Monday, Oracle led 17 companies issuing bonds in the US high-grade corporate bond market. This was the highest number of issuers entering the market in a single day since September 8. Dealers also expect total bond issuance this week to reach approximately $45 billion. While companies often accelerate financing ahead of major economic events to avoid market uncertainty, the timing and scale of this borrowing raise a bigger question. How much debt will technology companies need to fund the AI revolution, and will the returns eventually justify the investment? For the past

Midterm Election Jitters and Big Tech Earnings Weigh on Wall Street as Morning Rally Fades

U.S. stock markets finished mixed on Monday, November 2, 2026, as an early-morning rally faded due to ongoing weakness in technology and artificial intelligence stocks ahead of the U.S. midterm elections and a key jobs report. In this article, we would like to look at the narrative around the dual catalysts: pre-election hedging ahead of the November 3 midterm elections and positioning prior to the October Non-Farm Payrolls job report. 1. Major Index Performance Overview The trading session exhibited a stark divergence between traditional blue-chip value industrial components and tech-heavy growth benchmarks. The $Dow Jones(.DJI)$ Dow Jones Industrial Average managed to retain modest gains due to strong performance in healthcare, defense, and oil

Palantir: revenue +95.9%, bookings +6%. Shorter contracts, or a backlog running down?

$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$   3 Nov 2026 | Q3 2026 results (unaudited release) Revenue grew +95.9%. New bookings grew +6%. Bookings (total contract value, TCV) were 1.26x quarterly revenue, the lowest of the six quarters with a disclosed total TCV. A year ago (Q3 2025) the ratio was 2.34x. Last quarter it was 1.74x. So is Palantir using up its backlog faster than it refills it? My read: not proven either way. Here is how I check it, on this name or any software name. Why the two numbers can disagree TCV is the full value of contracts signed in the quarter. If a customer signs the same yearly amount for one year instead of two, TCV halves while revenue does not move. A falling TCV can mean shorter contracts, not weaker demand. Thre

Wall Street's Take on the Semiconductor and Memory Stocks Two-Week Sell-Off

The key takeaway: Wall Street is not necessarily questioning the strength of AI demand. Instead, investors are increasingly concerned about the sustainability of AI capital expenditure, the return on massive infrastructure investments, and whether the memory industry's earnings boom is approaching its peak. The latest sell-off reveals a striking disconnect: semiconductor companies are reporting strong earnings, yet their shares continue to decline. Memory demand remains robust, but markets are already pricing in the possibility of a cyclical slowdown. 1. How Wall Street Explains the Sell-Off Barclays Private Bank: AI's Financing Model Is Under Scrutiny Barclays argues that the market is increasingly focused on the financial sustainability of AI infrastructure spending. Record Revenue, Falling Stock: Apple’s China Problem

$Apple(AAPL)$ has delivered another strong quarterly report, but the market reaction suggests investors are becoming increasingly difficult to impress. Revenue reached $114.5 billion, up 12% year over year, while earnings per share came in at $2.10, beating analyst expectations. The company also reported record iPhone and Services revenue. Yet Apple shares fell 1.88% during Monday’s session and declined another 2.78% after the earnings announcement. When a company beats both revenue and earnings expectations but its shares still decline, it is worth looking beyond the headline numbers. For Apple, the concerns centre on China, supply constraints, the sustainability of profit margins and whether its current valuation already reflects much of it

Apple Earnings Under New CEO: Rising Memory Costs Put Profit Margins in the Spotlight

$Apple(AAPL)$ latest earnings report comes at an important moment for the company. John Ternus is taking his first earnings call as CEO, and investors will be looking beyond iPhone sales to understand whether Apple can maintain its growth and profitability in an increasingly expensive technology environment. Apple remains one of the world’s most valuable technology companies, supported by its strong brand, loyal customer base and integrated ecosystem. However, its valuation leaves relatively little room for disappointment, particularly when earnings growth has not always kept pace with expectations. There are several important factors worth watching. 1. Rising Memory Costs Could Pressure Margins One of the biggest challenges facing Apple is t

Palantir Delivers a Bombastic Quarter, But One Number Is Making Investors Nervous

$Palantir(PLTR)$ has just delivered an exceptional quarterly performance, with revenue nearly doubling, profitability remaining strong and full-year guidance significantly upgraded. Yet its shares fell approximately 5%, showing that even outstanding earnings may not be enough when expectations are extremely high. At first glance, the market reaction seems difficult to understand. Palantir reported Q3 revenue of $2.313 billion, up 96% year over year. It also crossed an important milestone, generating more than $2 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time. Its US commercial business grew 148%, reaching $984 million and overtaking US government revenue of $953 million for the first time. Management also raised its full-year revenue outlook

INTC plunges -29% : Buy, Bail or Trap ?

On Thu, 29 Oct 2026, $Intel(INTC)$ reported its Q3 earnings after market closed for the day. On Fri, 30 Oct 2026 morning, when trading resumed - INTC suffered a massive selloff, opening down roughly -25.8% at $68.36 per share. (see below) Based on subsequent media coverage and corroborating earnings reports, market's reaction to INTC was driven primarily by a major guidance miss, rather than the quarterly results reported on Thursday evening. What happened ? On surface, INTC handed in a solid Q3 2026 earnings report card: Adjusted EPS: $0.52 vs $0.40 expected Revenue: $16.51 billion vs $16.5 billion expected Revenue grew about +21% YoY. On a normal day, those numbers would have been viewed positively. However, investors focused on INTC's Q4 foreca

TOPJC888: On Mon, 02 Nov 2026, INTC continued its severe downward spiral, dropping -8.80% to close at $59.97. This slide extended a historic sell-off from prior session and was triggered by a significantly weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue outlook. [Events] Nasdaq's Big Week: Rally or Selloff?

The Nasdaq is heading into one of the most event-packed weeks of the year. And after last week's tech selloff, investors have plenty of reasons to stay on edge. The Nasdaq Composite plunged 2.86% on Friday, then slipped another 1.07% on Monday, closing at 25,164.32. Now, three major catalysts are lining up: the U.S. midterm elections, a fresh round of tech earnings, and Friday's jobs report.Could this be the week tech stocks finally bounce back? Or is another selloff on the way? Three Big Events, One Volatile Week 1. U.S. Midterms: Will Politics Move the Market? Americans head to the polls on November 3, with control of Congress at stake. The results could reshape expectations for government spending, tax policy and tech regulation. Markets will be watching closely to see whether the outco
[Events] Nasdaq's Big Week: Rally or Selloff?
TOPLanceljx: Nasdaq: +1.3% this week | Friday close: ~25,768 I’m leaning towards a modest rebound rather than a full risk-on rally. After Friday’s 2.86% fall and Monday’s additional weakness, some bad news and AI valuation anxiety should already be reflected in positioning. The biggest swing factor for me is tech earnings. Strong AMD, Qualcomm and Arm guidance could stabilise semiconductor sentiment, but investors now seem to demand evidence that AI capex is translating into revenue and profits, not merely more spending. The jobs report is the wildcard. A moderate reading that avoids both recession fears and a sharp rise in yields would probably be the best outcome for Nasdaq. My plan: continue DCA rather than chase a bounce. I would keep extra cash available if another valuation-driven selloff creates better entries. $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$

Apple Revenue Rose 12%, Yet Shares Fell After Hours. What Worried the Market?

Apple delivered revenue and earnings per share above expectations, but its shares still came under pressure after the report. On November 2, Apple reported fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 results for the period ended September 26. Revenue reached approximately $114.5 billion, up 12% year over year, with EPS of $2.10. CNBC cited LSEG consensus estimates of $113.39 billion and $1.99, respectively, and reported that shares fell approximately 3% at one point in November 2 after-hours trading. This was John Ternus’s first earnings report as CEO. Apple posted a September-quarter revenue record, iPhone sales continued to grow, and services revenue reached an all-time high.[1][2] The next quarter’s outlook, however, contained an important split: revenue growth guidance exceeded expectations, while gros
Apple Revenue Rose 12%, Yet Shares Fell After Hours. What Worried the Market?
TOP苏36: My Choice: ② Margin pressure makes the ability to pass on costs the key issue. Apple's biggest challenge is no longer simply selling more iPhones; it is protecting profitability. The 12% revenue growth and record iPhone sales demonstrate strong demand. However, December-quarter gross-margin guidance of 45%–46% tells a different story. Rising memory prices are challenging Apple's pricing power. Investors should also note that September-quarter gross margin benefited from approximately one percentage point in tariff refunds. This makes underlying profitability worth examining. believe Apple's competitive advantage remains its ecosystem, customer loyalty and enormous installed base. But these strengths must translate into sustainable earnings, not just impressive sales. The real test is whether Apple can absorb rising costs without sacrificing demand. Until margins stabilize, record revenue alone is not enough to justify a higher valuation. @Tiger_comments [安慰]

If I had stopped at that chart, I might have gone into Monday night looking for signs that an uneventful month was finally waking up. Put QQQ and the semiconductor fund SMH beside it and I get a different picture: plenty had already happened, just out of sight of the headline index. Tonight I’m watching how those three behave together. These are observations I want to make, not orders or fills. The chip chart gives me something concrete to watch. SMH came back to its average price over the past two hundred sessions, near another measure that weights this year’s trading by volume. I can see why that patch might attract buyers. I can also see how easy it would be to count two lines meeting as two votes in favour of a
