11.57 VIX points: check the level, not just the jump
A larger jump is not the same as a higher finish. Compare the move, the starting point and the closing level before deciding what the headline means. The Nasdaq Composite fell 5.5% on 5 Nov, versus 6.0% on 3 Apr 2025. Similar falls give us a comparison, not proof that the episodes are the same. The VIX rose 11.57 points from 16.61 on 5 Nov. $MARA 20261204 9.0 CALL$ Covered call at a much lower price than my cost. Not expecting it to spike with such negative sentiments on data centers (even though it is not even a data center yet). $COIN 20261204 165.0 CALL$ Covered call at a much lower price than I was assigned. It doesnt look good on the short term but still remains one of the leaders in tokenisation and crypto trading. Hopefully the prediction markets pick up also.
$ORCL DIAGONAL 261218/261120 CALL 140.0/CALL 165.0$ Rolling down to collect more premium. But it caps at a lower strike. If oracle spikes, means I have to stop out and close both together. Otherwise losses keep accumulating as it goes up
$MARA 20261113 7.0 CALL$ Sell covered call. Assigned at 6.50 today with some premium in hand. Selling out another week so that i can collect premium qhile waiting.
$WDC DIAGONAL 261204/261120 CALL 350.0/CALL 400.0$ Rolling down and out. Tech rout continues. Couldn't time it like always. Sian. Closing the near worthless short call position and opening a new one at a much lower price.
