On Fri, 9 Oct 2026, France's mass student unrest showed early signs of stabilizing, while the CAC 40 index broke its losing streak on Friday, rising +0.8% to 7,791.51 points during daytime trading.
In the meantime, with 1.5 hours to go before trading resumes, US stock futures are pointing slightly higher ahead of Friday's open, bouncing back as oil prices ease and tech names attempt to stabilize. (see attached)
Tentative gains ranged between +0.14% (Dow) and +0.85% (Nasdaq). I do not believe that US market will end on a high due to "weekend risk" or "Friday fade".
