Jobs & Earnings Rock US Market This Week ?

The Week In Rally. I am sure everyone knows that US market had a good 4 day run last week from Tuesday to Friday. When trading ended for the week: (see above) DJIA: +3.10% (+1,207.46 to 40.113.50). S&P 500: +5.59% (+292.57 to 5,525.21). Nasdaq: +8.29% (+1,330.18 to 17, 382.94). The Big Question. In the last trading week of April (crossing into May) will US market continue to rally or pull back ? US pre-market indicators for Mon, 28 Apr 2025, show a slight decline across major indexes: Dow futures are down 14 points (-0.03%) at 40,240. S&P 500 futures are down 2.5 points (-0.05%) at 5,547.25. Nasdaq futures are down 10 points (-0.05%) at 19,525.25. This suggests a mildly negative start for US markets. Investors need to be aware because this week is jam-packed with a lot of activitie

ENB : Stable stock in a Volatile US market ?

US stock market has plunged nearly -10% from its recent high due to concerns that Trump’s tariffs could cause a recession or worse a stagflation. On Mon, 21 Apr 2025 it fell again as Trump’s stepped-up verbal abuse of US Federal Reserves chairman Jerome Powell resulted in panic-stricken sentiments permeating US market. (see below) Many believed that if Trump even attempts to remove Powell by force, the action alone could cause US market to crash big time, if current fears turn into reality. Coupled with the tariffs that are in place, US is poised for an epic economic downturn that can in turn, cause corporate profits to plummet. Thankfully the joker realized his mistake and toned down the rhetorics almost immediately. This resulted in US stock market rallying for 4 consecutive days, includ

Few US's CEOs "Buy The Dip", should U ?

Only a handful of US chief executives made well-timed stock buys during the tariff-induced market panic in April 2025, as trading restrictions forced them on to the sidelines. According to data provider VerityData, only two CEOs at companies worth more than $5 billion ‘bought the dip’ when the market fell. Instead, a larger group of executives sold shares before Donald Trump’s “liberation day” announcements. This included bosses of Pepsi and $Jazz Pharmaceuticals PLC(JAZZ)$. Insiders often buy their own shares when markets are down. However, many executives were unable to jump on cheap shares because “liberation day” came as much of corporate America was barred from dealing ahead of first-quarter earnings. At the start of the week, the Dow fell more than 1,200 points. Attacks on Powell have picked up as: Central bank officials express concerns that Trump’s tariffs have sparked higher inflation expectations and could lead to price growth that’s more than just a one-time uptick. The uncertainty generated by Trump’s tariffs to businesses and more importantly to the US economy in the coming months., leading to the Fed taking a wait-and-see approach on cutting the Fed funds rate that stands at 4.25% - 4.5%.
