STI falls 2.6% to lowest level since July as DBS, OCBC, UOB decline more than 3%

Singapore stocks opened mostly lower on Thursday, 8 October, as $DBS(D05.SI)$ , $OCBC Bank(O39.SI)$ , and $UOB(U11.SI)$ came under selling pressure. UOB led the decline, falling around 4.7% as of 10am Singapore time and lifting the UOB 5x Short DLC by approximately 23.5%, while the UOB 5x Long DLC declined by a similar magnitude. OCBC fell around 4.3%, lifting the OCBC 5x Short DLC by approximately 21.5%, while the OCBC 5x Long DLC declined by a similar magnitude.
