Nvidia said late on Tuesday that its annual GTC event will also incorporate the semiconductor giant's first-ever Quantum Day.
The annual event, where Nvidia has announced its Hopper and Blackwell line of products in the past, will see Nvidia founder Jensen Huang discuss a myriad of quantum-related topics, including "what’s possible and available now in quantum computing, and where quantum technologies are headed," the company said in a post on its website.
Nvidia also said it will discuss the latest quantum computing news and "advances [for] shortening the timeline to useful applications."
Representatives from D-Wave, IonQ, Rigetti and several other quantum computing companies will be in attendance, Nvidia added.
Nvidia's GTC event runs from March 17 to March 21.
Additionally, Microsoft edged its way into the quantum computing conversation Tuesday by proclaiming that 2025 would be the year for its business customers to become “quantum-ready” by preparing their organizations for the eventual technological leap.
Shares of quantum computing companies surged in morning trading. Quantum Corp rose 37%; SEALSQ Corp rose 35%; Quantum Computing rose 30%; Arqit Quantum rose 29%; D-Wave Quantum rose 26%; Rigetti Computing rose 23%; IONQ Inc. rose 19%.
