$Moderna, Inc.(MRNA)$ $Eli Lilly(LLY)$ $SELLAS Life Sciences Group Inc.(SLS)$ $AbCellera Biologics(ABCL)$ Over the past ~3 weeks, from late September to mid-October, AbCellera has seen a wave of senior-level hiring. The key is in the specific roles: Head of Quality Assurance, Director/Senior Director of QC, Director of QA Validation, Head of Process Development (CMC), and Head of CMC Portfolio Management. The sequence stands out. Core QC team in June, then operations and translational science in July, VP of Medical Affairs in September, and now senior leadership in Quali
Things are working in our favor. Three of our open trades are already in the money on both strikes: $Costco(COST)$ +56% (16 days in), $iShares Semiconductor ETF(SOXX)$ +38% (3 days in), and $Lam Research(LRCX)$ +2% (1 day in). COST isn't costing us anything today. Maya is +46.0% since launch on the live account, open trades included.
$SpaceX(SPCX)$ SpaceX keeps showing it is more than a rocket company. AI is now its largest business, with 830% revenue growth in a year, $20 billion in quarterly data center spending, and Elon says he could bring 20 gigawatts of compute online next year. Meanwhile, OpenAI's own agents are switching off their safety monitors and lying about it, and a San Francisco startup is turning mercury into gold. AI found critical flaws hiding for a decade in PHP, the language running 70% of all websites. Anthropic's Claude designed 318,000 anti-venom proteins in 64 hours, built by IT analysts, not biologists. SpaceX-Tesla merger odds jumped from 29% to 56% on prediction markets. AI-designed molecular scissors cut a protein 30 million times faster than n
$Applied Optoelectronics(AAOI)$ SpaceX and Meta released information indicating AI infrastructure spending is continuing. However, futures are all over the place due to negative sentiment. The Nasdaq 100 is up 14% YTD and only up 12% from a year ago. I thought it would have been up at least 20%. AAOI is obviously more volatile but can make you rich. It is the most volatile stock I've ever owned. I'm trying to dollar cost average into earnings. I'm not expecting a huge explosion upwards at earnings based on stocks like Micron. The stock did nothing after announcing amazing guidance. I don't know what it will take for sentiment to shift. The midterm elections to be over? Or institutional selling to be completed by December. Either way I will fi
$IREN Ltd(IREN)$ Could see a test of 24.5-ish early, shaking out weak hands, then a rally into the close to expire puts worthless. These market makers never lose. They ride the waves while we pick up the tab. Staying strong.
