$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ I'll admit I didn't expect the mega caps to get hit this hard. This looks more tied to WTI and the 10-year than to earnings or capex.
$SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$ $Oracle(ORCL)$ $Boston Scientific(BSX)$ $Micron Technology(MU)$ Three of the most traded contracts were on the first three names and Micron took over the options scanner. It was shaping up to be a genuinely bullish day, until GOOG brought its unwanted negativity into the room. Android always seems to ruin the party. There's more work to do for tomorrow's trading day and the end-of-week routine. There were winning trades on Monday, and the focus now is on creating more days like that. I do have to give credit where it's due though. The GTA terminal tools really make me a bet
$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ Jensen keeps saying things that a lot of people don't want to hear. Wall Street is doing what it can, but with demand running 5x oversubscribed against the daily weakness, the golden cross setup looks rough for shorts if you can see past the next 1-3 days. Now it comes down to how this weekly candle closes.
$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ Does it even matter if they're tapping into the debt market? This whole criticism feels off to me. These companies are growing at levels we've never seen before. Wall Street hedge funds are basically gaslighting everyone.
$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ They're raising equity at a 9.42% cost of equity, after having raised a lot of debt at a cheaper 5.52% cost basis. They need to return at least 9.16% ROIC to generate value, which they should manage easily. After taking on that much debt, it makes sense they'd shift to equity since it's easier to access, and uncertain projects are surely better funded with equity.
$Alphabet(GOOG)$ It is hard to imagine confidently shorting the most successful company to ever exist when it is already 20% off the highs. I suspect most people just want in at a lower price, and that could end up being something they really regret if they do not buy here.
